Sad story about poor old Kiszko - spent 16 years in prison for Lesleys murder and was taunted and attacked on multiple occasions. He suffered mental illness as a result and died of a heart attack not long after his eventual release in 1992, 4 months after that his mother died. Poor people, all involved

The 4 teenage girls that lied about the local 'weirdo' (Kiszko) in the Lesley Molseed case admitted they made it up for a laugh. None of them even apologised. So at the very least they committed perjury which carries a sentence of max 2 years. Why did these girls just get away with saying yeah we made it up for a laugh? 16 years in prison because someone made up lies just for fun? What happened to Lesley Molseed(RIP) is disgusting but the 'lies' told by these girls literally pulled the police off the scent of the real killer.

Every murder is awful, but poor Lesley! She was so sweet and vulnerable. Only a crazed sociopath, would do this to an innocent little girl??? I found it very harrowing to watch the part of the reconstruction, where the unsuspecting little girl is happily toddlin off to the shop. ..... The consequences of this horrid crime are very far stretching, from Lesley and her heartbroken family, to Stefan Kiszko @ his mother and Castree's family, not to mention the guilt the guys in prison at the time, are now feeling, for targetting poor Mr Kiszko. ..... Incidentally, when this tragedy first happened, back in 1975, i was 13, so this poor girl, would've been in her late 50's now and possibly a grandmother, had her life not been so cruelly cut short, by that madman, Castree.

The Helen Gorrie murder was initially solved - they convicted a man who Helen had met the day prior who had been cruising around the local area in his car and had apparently arranged to go and meet again on the night of her death. He spent a while in jail but eventually the conviction was overturned on a technicality as it was felt the judge had misled the jury when he summed the case up. The police say they feel like there's no need to re-open the investigation so that suggests they think the man they charged with Helen's murder is guilty of the crime but can't do anything about it. Worth noting that there was absolutely no DNA evidence that linked the guy to the crime, or at least none that was presented at trial.

The lady in the car park was very strange although I can't see how she could be involved. As the main road through the village was a clearway, perhaps she was using this small business car park when she shouldn't, so was shifty - although why she stayed in her car is strange. What misleading information on the Lesley Molseed case. They described the man, as in his 30’s with a receding hairline…. The murderer was 22 at the time , would have not fitted the description. Fingers were definitely pointed at Mr Kiszko from the start.

@@Maz-zb9uf Not sure but it's possible that the autopsy incorrectly stated that attempts at CPR etc. were from a struggle.
On the full episode of Crimewatch that features this case some people who knew Threlfall's family commented and they said it was eventually ruled as an open verdict and that it was most likely suicide.

I wonder if this show ever bought any results? It’s alot of acting out what people say they saw or witnessed but nothing concrete at all. And when the reporter showed the pen as evidence I almost fell off my bed. Wtf is a pen ? Do u know how many pens I steal!? And I mean that in a honest way of stealing like when I used a Home Depot pen to sign the receipt when I used my credit card and I took it . I can loose that pen as easily as I stole it. And the reporter showed it like if anyone would be like yes I know this one man in the whole country he is the only one with that pen
