  • An equation is an equality in which we do not know one of its terms. That unknown term is called incognita and is usually written with a letter, which can be any letter of the alphabet, but the most commonly used is the letter x.
Solving an equation is like playing at being detectives, because it is looking for what value we have to give to the incognita so that this equality is fulfilled. So we have to search through different procedures what that value is going to be.
In this video we're going to focus on solving first-degree equations with fractions. We are going to learn the procedure that is followed through several examples. We will also see how to find the minimum common multiple, necessary to solve this type of exercises.
