I have a question about the graph at 5:30. In the given example’s graph, the external load balancer has 2 edges towards the private network with the labels /fraud and /customer. Is not this the job of an api gateway to perform dynamic routing and service discovery? May you please give me an idea about the boundary between the API Gateway and the Load Balancer? You are right…. According to his illustrations, the external LB is doing the same thing as an API gateway

This is only the case when running your own Load Balancer. Managed Load Balancers in the cloud always have more than one node.
