  • After years of not having a shack, I have one at this location. This will update my pass-through video and describes my antenna install and lessons learned along the way. KD4SIR is radio active on HF. :)

The Pie plate radials used up a lot of trash RG6 that we have no use for. But does the coax efficiency matter in regards to length?
Jefa Tech LL400 - I love this stuff. Buy good coax from the get-go, that way you don't throw away the cheap stuff for this when you know better. Like me. :)

So is there any "extra" losses to using these switches if the table matches regular coax as tested in the ARRL lab?

I wanted to mention and thank the person for the idea of hanging my microphone from the wall with the shelf frame and board. It was a video about making a home sound studio and not Amateur Radio related but it worked for me. He did it to keep the singers from touching the mic. I had been fighting my mic stands forever (always in the way) and now I just swing it in and out of position without fighting the weight of it sagging. Perfect idea.

I forgot to mention my youtube elmer, W5CYF Tinker John, for his video making a coax switch. He gave me the idea of using pop rivets which made this easy to assemble and kept me from using solid wire. :) czcams.com/video/5xn_EjhklYA/video.html
