Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on CZcams, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on CZcams. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on CZcams, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

I was at this concert and my seat was directly below the right-hand pig, I happened to look up just as it came out and saw this giant pig flying straight for me! Fabulous concert, it was 10 times better 'in the flesh' than one can get from these videos.

We had seats near the rafters for the Animals show but were rewarded when the pig flew around the arena right at our eye level!

This was the opening track on Meddle, then closing with Echoes. Holy shit, with bread that good, it wouldn't matter what the sandwich meat was.
The pigs (boars actually) was a poke in Roger Waters' eye for him denying them the use of the pig from Animals when they performed it live. The line "One of these days, I'm going to cut you into little pieces" was recorded at double speed by Nick Mason, then played at normal speed with distortion. Thanks for doing this one - many reaction channels don't bother with this hidden masterpiece of music, individual performance, and production (the audience sure approved).

2.44 the guitarist slips in a bar from the Doctor Who TV show theme. Years later, Doctor Who kind of returns the favour in the Peter Capaldi story 'Caretaker', the Doctor whistles the line 'we don't need no education' from Another Brick in the Wall by Floyd. I think someone did a YT video on it.

What you don't see in this vid. is at the end, the pigs are push out of the tubes. Hence ; critic said back when this was recorded ( 1972) that their music would sell when pigs can fly and they don't play 4 beat dance song > As you see the disco ball in " Comfortably Numb" same concert. Saw 5 times. Pulse 1994 : 14 days in a row sold out. Watch this in 1972 ( Pompeii) and again with Dave playing in 2016 Pompeii with instrument I have ever seen. Dave in 2016 " in any tongue" at 70 yrs old and the last time playing " Comfortably Numb"

Growing up in the 70s, every new stereo receiver I bought, "One of These Days" studio version was the first record on the turntable to test the speakers. Then on to "Baba O'Riley" but that's for a different day. Great reaction and you are right about the instrumentals.

Yes it's from their Meddle album.
An interesting story about the original studio version of this song: there's two bass guitars playing and David Gilmour said (in a guitar magazine interview) one of the bass guitar's strings were dead, pretty much used up so he sent a roadie to go get new strings. The roadie never returned, the guys figure he must have gone to see his girlfriend so they went ahead and recorded the final version of the song with those dead bass strings and that's why one of them sounds like it's really going thunk thunk!! At least that's how David Gilmour put it??

Greetings from Canada. Yes, from Meddle. Not quite an instrumental, because there was one (spoken) line: One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces. Ooops, you just read that line. Lest some one give you some bad info: when played on one's lap, it is a lap steel guitar... but here it is called (by its maker) a console steel guitar. Peace, love and bellbottoms.

Actually the way they recorded the lyric "one of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces" is a funny story. The person whose voicing it is Nick Mason and he said it in a high-pitched falsetto voice really fast!! To get the low growling effect they just slowed it way down and re-recorded it that way!

It was cutting up audio recording of a BBC DJ the guys didn't like much.
I believe the Boar's replaced the Pink Pig due to legal dispute with Roger. And I believe they were complete with over sized testicles... maybe there was a message in there somewhere? 😂

    • @ianfortier6796

The inflatable pig's first appearance was from the Animals tour when I believe he (Algie) floated above the audience. He made another appearance during Run Like Hell during The Wall tours. There was a legal dispute over whether or not the band could use him moving forward so slapped a giant set of genitalia on him to get around copyright infringement and brought him out during the Delicate Sound tour. These two are an entirely new design with the tusks. My guess is they were only the front half of the pigs since they were moored to the bases of the towers.

Too good to be; will certainly impress the young generation who approach the media event in a neutral manner.
E.g. the Pompeii version 1972 confused me as a teenager, but fascinated me at the same time. The music is absolutely in the foreground there ❤.
That's the big difference between the prog phase around 1970 and the very commercial Pulse Multi Media production.

The album Meddle was Pink Floyd's breakout album, with this album they moved away from the british beatle style beats and melodies into their own sound, with this track and Echoes on the same album, they found what they were searching for and what their fans were waiting on

There are lyrics. "One of these days, Im going to cut you into little pieces" The loud thumping before it at the end is someone pounding on a door with his clinched palm over head, Someone has locked themselves in a room.????? My girl friend in the late 70s said that fit the narrative. 12 words sound = a Pink Floyd master piece. Wants rent? Daughter low life? Wife beaten?
