    I love this! I'm making over a small half-bath and was thinking what could I do for texture in such a narrow room? I think I might try this. Even if it doesn't work in there, it's a really cool process and I'll find somewhere to use it. Thanks so much for the idea.

    These look great! Is this extruded or expanded polystyrene? My local store only stocks extruded and it doesn't seem to work as well, wondering if I should look around more for expanded bead foam.

    Whats the thinnest you would go with the board. I would love to do this on a wall but need as much room as possible.

      I wouldn’t go any thinner than 1 inch, personally. I felt like that was really the sweet spot compared to the thicker one. If it’s less than an inch it would be hard to not burn all the way through with the soldering iron. Not impossible though, just have to be careful.

      Is there a ratio that you're using with the chalk and acrylic paint? And why the chalk?
