I have psoriasis too girl. It’s an autoimmune condition, a trigger for most people is stress. If you have one autoimmune condition you become more susceptible to developing another. The best recommended diet (didn’t want to go the prescription shampoo/creams route) for autoimmune conditions is the anti inflammatory diet: no dairy, gluten, added sugars and caffeine (some can keep this). High in protein and veg, 2 servings of fruit a day. I know you’re not in to restrictions but just wanted to share what has kept mine at bay!! All the best!!
Thank you so much for what you said about eating before runs. I also don't get hungry in the mornings and do most of my runs fasted. I feel most people online are pushing the narrative that fuelling before runs is super important and it's starting to stress me out a bit because I just don't want to eat when I'm not hungry. Appreciate you being open and honest about what works for you, and helping me to know it's okay to listen to my body and do what works best for me and my lifestyle instead of OSFA approaches from strangers.
You’ll see it online because that’s what recent research is showing - that everyone (especially women) should train fasted. It is only now becoming common knowledge and spoken about more because research has been heavily skewed towards male athletes, when we have completely different needs and demands, especially regarding hormonal health.
IMO, influencers without a background in science/nutrition, and legitimate credentials, should not be giving out nutritional advice.
@@hells9466 sharing what I do and how I eat isn’t advice, it’s personal to me. If I feel I can’t eat before as it makes me want to be sick or need the toilet instantly, that’s personal to me 😁 I’ve also done this for over 5 years and it works well for me. I also state in the video when I do feel it’s necessary to eat for me 🙂
I think there is a big difference between sharing what works for you (like Lucy does) vs. giving blanket advice. However, I think it IS important to stress the narrative of eating before running as many people don’t for reasons that are not in their best interest. And yes, there is so much scientific evidence that across a population it is better to eat before exercise but of course there will be individual variations.
100% agree, i run in the morning fasted and feel best this way. i eat a lot anyway and dont feel i need the food when im not hungry. i do this on all runs below 30km, and the few times ive run marathons or ultras i just sip some lucozade and also drink my water and it feels good for me to do so :)....i become pac man in my kitchen 30/40 mins post run lol
Lucy!!!!! QUEEN ❤🎉 thank you very much!!! I love the vlogs! You've achieved so much in life. I've been a day 1 since you and Ben lived with your sister... now look at you flourish 🌸 absolutely super proud!!! Keep going!!!! Your life inspires me in my work outs and daily life ❤❤❤❤
Omg thank you so much for your realness at the end ❤ it’s something I struggle with too. So wow, thank you
SO PROUD OF YOU AND BEN!!! that hyrox collab is HUGE!!!!
Yay for a Lucy upload! 🤗👍👍❤I love how you say to just be your own individual person and do what is best for you and your life personally 👏👏👏 It's so true and even if we all did the exact same thing and ate and trained the same we would still perform and look different. Comparison is the thief of joy! And Biscoff everyday is a must 😋You keep me inspired to stay in my lane and eat and do the things that feel good to me. Thanks so much for all you do. Love and support from LA!! xoxo 🥰🫶💕💕💕💕
Great video 😊Rinsing my hair with water & conditioner after running is a must & helped with itching
I'm definitely going to try skipping coffee before morning runs and see how it feels. I never thought about how that could affect my heart rate!
Love your videos Lucy! Such an inspiration. Could you do a running technique video in the future? Thank you!
i love this videos so much!!
OMG!!! What you said when someone knocked at the door was soooo funny!!!, thats why I love your channel, you are just you. Thank you for being you, see ya next time.
Love it!! 💜
I love that you shared this about your scalp! I get the exact same thing when I get stressed out, the doctor told me it could be psoriasis but its most likely seborrheic dermatitis and they gave me beta cap/ betnovate (which treats both) and its really helped. not sure which it actually is I initially thought it had to be psoriasis but I think its more likely to be the dermatitis. thanks for sharing and always being relatable!
I have seborrheic dermatitis too and it defenitly gets worse with stress! Notice if it also changes during the seasons and humidity! Mine is always worse when its cold or humid and is always better whenever its summer and I go to southern europe where its not as humid as where I live. I don't know if psoriasis also does that though. But seborrheic dermatitis is extremely common especially with women so we're not alone at all
14 km at 4'54 "it was super super chill" wow, so impressed
I love your videos they crack me up!! 😂😂😂
I don't eat before I run as I get a stitch or will feel sick but I do eat before weights as I find it gives me more energy and strength.
Loved this! After all there is no point eating “healthy” foods if you aren’t eating enough ❤❤😊😊
Super random thought, and know it may not be possible as you travel a lot; but have you ever thought of getting a puppy for stress help?
Ok but you throwing that lunch together when you were starving is the most relatable thing in the world 😭
Girl ❤can you do an informative video regarding cycle and training? Do you change your workouts accordingly?
LOVE the realness❤
love it!
I get the same exact thing with my scalp when stressed. I hate it. I’m so self conscious of it and the ITCHING drives me crazy 😂 mine isn’t been too bad lately. I’m either not as stressed or something else is working. Only major change has been taking collagen daily
love love love the much needed do what's best for you chat! Thank youxxx
Love it!❤))
Loved this!! 🎉❤
I tried to use your code for the whoop, is it only available for ppl in the UK? :)
Skincare tips/routine updated or wedding lead up prep/makeup video?
Do an acid bath. It's a great, iconic crossfit work out comprising rower, skin ERG and bike ERG. It's an amazing WOD.
Would love a sample workout from the Hyrox program to see what it’s like!!
Just put in a good word for you with the CrossFit best insiders. Told them about you and your channel. Just trying to make great things happen for everyone. 🎉 Keep being curious and adventurous. That's what sets you apart. Keep up the lovely work...😊
use petroleum jelly on your hands! (preferably with gloves during sleep).helped me get rid of some bad peeling on my palms, and also healed my calloused feet...
Hey Lucy!! I also get a flaky/dry scalp when stressed. Can I ask what it is you used? As I try to use anti dandruff shampoo but it doesn't work very well. Thank youuu
Amazing. I’m so glad I came across your page on Instagram. Now here I am watching your CZcams.
What is coconut rice? Never heard of it but sounds delish 🤤
I'm not even a gym girly, I can't run, I can't lift weights or train, however I love watching your videos SO much because your so likeable! I've been subscribed for ages too but hoping I can push myself to do a 'light' 14k run one day hahaaa. 💘
@@Sarah-tb5mu funny I was thinking the same thing - I do run (badly) and I do train (at home) but I at least do something. I'll never be as fit or as dedicated as Lucy but her energy is all I need to keep me consistent. Doing something more than the day before, even if it's just a walk...it's better than nothing.....you got this ;)
Biscoff is a sweet treat 😊
Hi, could you possibly touch on some abdominal excerises which would work for someone with PCOS and Endometriosis. I find when i’m doing them i end up with some serious cramping ect and although i’m pretty happy with arms sand legs, my abdo is a huge issue and insecurity! I’ve done bootcamp and classes with instructors but they don’t seem to understand and just tell me to push through it but it can be me immobile for days after. I know it’s my weakest muscles but i need to build and rule it not it rule me x
I also don't like eat before runs or during. I get so heavy and my digestion isn't well
I just had a massive bar of Dairy Milk it was amazing… However, it’s all balance with some a 12 mile pyramid session early and lifting midday…
What is your recommendation for running in 90 to 100 degrees weather?
Nice one
Can you give us sneak peak at your collab with Hyrox pls? So we can experience little bit of it, which will help to decide...
Tuank youuuuu
Need to get some WOD weld on the hands Helps heal them up quicker
Hey, Marisa, I think that's how you say her name, from MISSFITANDNERDY, is gonna get into running soon, and was asking us who she should message for tips.
So many people said Natasha Oceane, Abby Polack, and of course, the one and only, Lucy Davis Fit.
Think you could help her out?
I have that same scalp issue. It comes and goes. What did you put on your scalp???
I get the exact same thing with my scalp 😢
Don’t know if it’s just because of stress or because of the cooler climate up north or the water quality, but I live in London but go to the university of Manchester and I get dandruff and really flakey scalp when I’m up there, I also experience acne which I didn’t have when I was living in London, it could be stress of uni but I do think Manchester has really dried me out, leading to acne and dandruff. Do you notice changes in hair or skin when you travel somewhere else?
Ouuu yes I can’t even drink London water makes me ill! And I feel it doesn’t wash my hair too great and makes me skin super red when I wash my face!
Train like Cameron buchan / a rower 😊
Lucy, I've been enjoying your workout videos of training like other athletes especially Tia Toomey. The crossfit games are happening this coming week. It's a huge media deal this year. HUGE! It would be great timing if you could pick one of the athletes and train like they do for "Games" preparation.. Plenty to pick from BUT, the timing now would be perfect! Some had to focus on their cardio either running, bike or swimming. It would be PERFECT if you could emulate a day of one of the 40 athletes! Even if its just the eating, anything now would get you a lot of eyes.
Love what you're doing but timing is everything. Keep up the great content. I hope you can pull something off quickly. Trust me, this year is MAJOR for many reasons but media is 10X what it's ever been!!
If you're fast enough to come up with something you get on the Sevan podcast. ESPN and tons of CZcams media on site this coming week. Apologies I just thought of this. ❤❤
I was indeed panicking!
literally no one as beautiful as lucy davis
Did you get any caffeine withdrawals? I’m scared cut down in the morning because of headaches 😂
Very random: have you thought about the heavy metal content from all the tuna you eat every week could be affecting or possibly increasing your anxiety?
Does anyone have one ticket for HYROX Women London 2023 they are willing to sell, please?
Really loved this video!! I also get the exact same thing with my scalp, just wondering what the product is that you were using?🫶🫶
What is hyrox ?
I actually thought about to start at hyrox but if they do also start w/ this stupid muscle ups - I’m out.
btw all the best for your hands.
Compeed ampollas for your hands
go to a spartan race💪
Yes I did yawn 😂
Hey Lucy! I tried emailing you.
We have an all female rowing team, taking on the Worlds Toughest Row - Atlantic and i think theyd love to connect and collab with you in the run up to the competition at the end of the year!
Their striving motives are Female Empowerment in Sport and Sustainability!
Connah (Fellow Scouser!)
Hey this sounds awesome!! Not sure why I haven’t seen the email please can you re-send xx
@@LucyDavisFitSorry I tried replying with my email but I don’t think CZcams likes that! The email I tried to use was the mycoach one. Is there a better route for sending it over? 😊
Train like Margot Robbie for the Barbie movie!!!
How do you film yourself whilst running without the camera moving? hahaha
Hi Lucy, I've been watchimg Chinchilla's "Little Girl Gone" which I discovered from your Insta.
Supertrained but can't open the sauce bottle. 😂
nooo that apple was perfectly fine to eat 😢😅
easy 14k? Are you serious hahahaha. I almost killed myself last spring doing a half marathon in under 1h50. That's insane
U just insulin spike all day!
I love how realistic you are. Seeing you putting everything you found on a plate, eating it in 10 minutes and stressing about work stuff the whole time instead of making a 2h aesthetic meal makes me feel a bit better about my days this week ❤
