This should have been a single too tbh, love how you can hear the emotional pain in Michael's voice when he says "why you wanna trip on me", like he wanted to get on his knees crying and begging
What also adds to it is the background voices in the chorus, absolutely perfection

This song hits reality on so many different levels. Smh... People never listened when Michael sang. Its not just about his voice but the lyrics. Remember he said he doesnt sing it if he doesnt mean it. Look whats happening in the world today. So many negative things yet people are more focused on people's business or crap that are simply irrelevant. We need to open our eyes and our ears and understand what this beautiful soul was saying. Theres more to life than gossiping and finding ways to put other people down. Come on man...

👉What’s the biggest key to success in music that you’ve learnt?
Brad Sundberg’(Worked with MJ 1985-2002): I think anyone who came from the MJ camp will tell that there is no substitute for hard work.Michael used to show up two hours early for every single vocal session just to warm up. No other artist I am aware of does that, nor has that type of self-discipline.Also - mistakes/accidents can be incredible gifts.Be flexible and open to new ideas, even mistakes. They can often make a song far more interesting than what you originally intended.
👉There was and is always so much press about Michael Jackson. What do you think was the most surprising thing about MJ if a fan was to have met him in real life?
Brad Sundberg’(Worked with MJ 1985-2002):That's a tough one because I spend so many hours "introducing" Michael to my guests, but I think the strongest word that comes to mind is grateful. Michael had a great sense of humor, loved his fans, was incredibly musical and talented, but he was also amazingly grateful. He would thank EVERYONE who helped on a project. One time after we installed a train on his ranch, he was riding in the front car and he cautiously asked the operator if he could maybe drive it? The guy laughed and said, "It's YOUR train! Of course you can drive it!!" That's how he was - very unassuming and grateful for everything.

Love when Michael uses his lower register. He didn’t do it often and THAT is actually his strongest register in his voice. His natural voice was pretty deep and rich and velvety. But he uses it with BITE and fervor here. He sounds angry and sexy. The lyrics are no joke. MJ was one of the few rich kids that was for the poor and they went after him for being awake with vision. He couldn’t be bought! He’s a quiet revolutionary. One of my favorite songs of his solo career.

My group and I received such a high score, second highest score of the 5-6 groups in the class (because my editing skill at that time wasn't that good so we're just the second placer) I was so happy at that moment because I finally used MJ's song for school haha!
But that's not the end of the story. About a week after that project, there was another project where the students must perform a dance. One time, I was watching from a distance of students practicing their dance and I was shocked when I heard TDCAU playing so loud on the speaker inside the school. The teacher whom I submitted my project to was handling that class and she picked TDCAU!!!

Wish we could go back 😢 to when we still had him.
Having him here with us felt normal when we felt his energy.. my heart yearns to feel the same normal again 😢

why not say what you got to say to those who need to hear it directly from your mouth and make it clear cause without doubt you have both everything written under the sun in any land in complete agreement with you.
if you let go of this what are you saying and what’s next and if you don’t care you might should cause it’s effecting you and you don’t even know it

You can feel his anger against paparazzi, who care just about unimportant things like celebrities, fashion, scandals etc. He points out that we, and also they, should more care about #femine, #drug addiction of #young people, people who had to go to walk on the street, corruption... #MichaelJackson told you in #1991! But thanks to mainstream media people never heard Michael's #real voice. All they cared about was his look, his private life, his family. And that's what #Dangerous album is about! Look at it's cover. He sees through, he knows much more, but he cannot be heard.

No doubt Michael helped some with shaping them, but the drums on the Teddy tracks are pure Teddy Riley from this era. To think that Teddy just recreated what Michael had in his mind just isn’t accurate. That’s why there is such a change from the Quincy Jones albums to this one… Teddy brought his New Jack Swing to Michael.
