Serves: 24-28 cookies
Ingredients:
240 g (2 cups) all purpose flour (See Note if you use cup measurement)
15 g (2½ Tbsp.) matcha green tea powder (1 Tbsp. matcha is 6 g)
170 g (3/4 cup) unsalted butter, softened
130 g (roughly 1 cup) powder sugar
Pinch of salt
2 large egg yolks
50-65 g (1/4-1/3 cup) white chocolate chips
*I highly recommend you to use a kitchen scale to get the perfect result.*

I love this recipe, it became my go to cookies to make. It's always a huge hit for everyone I make or gift them. I use 5 to 10g less sugar because I like things just slightly sweet but I think it'll be already the perfect amount of sugar for most people as it's not overly sweet at all.
Placing the cookie dough rolls onto a bed of rice to maintain their roundness while they chill is ingenious! Thank you for sharing such a brilliant idea!

Made these cookies after checking ur videos & it is delicious! I made the first batch matcha without the chocolate chips. Then another batch changed matcha to grounded walnut & vanilla. It taste so good & has a crispy texture with the nuts inside. Thank you for your video! 😘

I know it's been 6 years since you posted this but I just discovered and the cookies were amazing! Super well explained. I love matcha more than anything else in this world and the cookies are delicious. I just swapped the white chocolate for dark chocolate because I prefer that and they turned out great. I need to practice how to roll them, I made them a bit thin I think but no problem. It was kinda hard too because it's so hot here in Spain that the moment you work with the dough it just softens so much. Will gladly do them again and maybe add other ingredients like nuts. Thank you!

Thanks to you: it's an excellent recipe for basic butter cookies too. Too bad I can never find the brilliant green matcha, so my biscuits always come out in a less saturated hue
So happy to hear that. Good matcha is usually very expensive but it has absolutely beautiful color. Hopefully a lot of online stores start to sell GOOD one - too many inferior quality matcha out there... :(

Amazing Recipe ! 1st time I taste something with matcha and I'm not disappointed. Now I'm a fan of Matcha green tea in the afternoon. It's so hard to find coffee shops who sell cakes and sweets with matcha in my city. I made these cookies with dark chocolate chips a long time ago. And a few days ago I had some white chocolate so I used it and it is way more tasty with white chocolate. Thank you for this recipe. Your videos are amazing !
