Places like CVS will throw out perfectly fine medications, mouth care, sunscreen, etc from their shelves. I follow a couple dumpster divers here, and they'll randomly get like, a case worth of sunscreen that won't expire for two years and has no recalls. So I'm not surprised if this woman's able to find pristine vitamins, haha. EDIT: I doubt people watching pewds are pregnant, but if you are in need of a breast pump, they're often completely covered by insurance.
They will throw out vitamins and things you canât OD on. Thereâs protocol to disposing medications.
Iâve never worked at a CVS, but the pharmacies Iâve worked in never throw away a product without reason. If not expired, the product was probably adulterated in some way. That said, a
pharmacy should never dispose of prescription products in the trash. Personally, I wouldnât throw away bottles of vitamins in the trash either.
Medications are usually sent to a reverse distributor to be disposed. When in a dumpster, the product will be exposed to a non controlled environment and will be adulterated and the saftey and efficacy cannot be guaranteed. I would never recommend this

Thatâs actually not a bad idea for a triathlon. The triathlon starts at sunrise, first you have to dumpster dive as much as you can before midday and then at midday you have to panhandle as much as you can until sundown and then you have to gather as much firewood as possible before midnight, the triathlon stops at midnight and whoever has the most useful items and cash and has enough firewood to burn until sunrise wins. Iâm thinking Autumn equinox in a temperate zone for this event so it cold enough to need a fire to comfortably exist without shelter after sundown but not so cold that people will die from failing the event.

It does become a mindset after a while. My papa grew up during the depression & we lived out in the country. We'd dumpster dive, green box hunt, and it actually is illegal in a lot of places but out in the middle of dirt roads there's not a lot of enforcement. I learned to drive at 9 to be his lookout & get away driver lol my poor little 5'6" cancer patient papa finding the weirdest shit while I sat in the driver seat on top of a pillow to see over the '65 Oldsmobile steering wheel ( a car made before seat belts in cars were a requirement) never came off the dirt roads but I was a great driver early on. Some of my absolute best memories were us waking up at 7am on a Saturday, heading into town & haggling at yard sales before hitting up sonic for milk shakes & driving back home.
