This hits home very hard, when I was a young man, also felt confused and lost for a long time. I am guessing this is true for most young people. I also felt that adults are just sheeple and just follow the system like slaves. Now that I am "the" adult I can tell young people we are not slaves, we work very hard each day to fight through the system and provide a better path/life for the next generation. We all want to change the world, just do it with the right frame of mind and the best intentions, just don't fall into the trap of allowing your emotions to overtake you. When you feel like it's getting a bit much, ask for help - trust me a lot of people feel like that, and people will help.

Im in my 40s and there are still those who try to make my life as miserable as possible, yes i am isolated and a loner. I also suffer from many mental health problems Social anxiety is one of them. People can be incredibly hostile when they want to be to other people and go to bed at night without a care in the world.

My family beat the hell out of me for 20 years with lots of physical, emotional and verbal abuse and even when I'm at college away from them it never really goes away, just feels like trying to run away from your own head. Anyone else notice the amazing audio quality of this game? I don’t play games with headphones but rather a home theater and even among newer games this one stood out with great sound.

The ending got me. 5 years ago i lost my mom to suicide 🥺Everyday i reply what i could've done to stop her or did that day. I cry everyday😭She was going through alot that nobody knew about not even her sister she was close with. So if you are going through something talk with someone, anyone who will listen. And definitely don't listen to anyone who puts you down.
Please get grief counseling. This was horrible what happened and you don’t have to go through it alone.

The last silent hill i saw brad play was silent hill downpour i believe, i am so hyped to see him play a silent hill game again
This game was intense, maybe not in the gameplay sense but in the themes it touched. People do not know or care to know how much words and actions do hurt others. We tend to believe that everybody is like us, it doesn't matter if we consider ourselves strong or weak.
I really enjoyed the ambience of this game, and having it free on PS5, I mean, there shouldn't be people complaining about it since you're not paying for it. Should we get better games? Of course, but I feel like it's uncommon to get games that meet our standards all the time.
It's only correct to give developers (and the artists behind these kind of games) the space to freely express their views, and enjoy (or not, it's up to each of us) what they did. What I do not share is the idea that we must destroy anything that doesn't match up with our standards for great games.

I think the reason why this Silent Hill is free, well I think it might be just to help or to increase self awareness for depression, anxiety and any sorts of mental issue amongst teenagers and pre adults, especially people who played the or just watching other people played this game, CZcamsrs has always been a good place to escape reality and you just simply watch other content creator's life, I guess Konami and other company acknowledge this and they took their chances with their fame and popularity to make this game, even if they wanted to make this purchasable, i doubt its for their own use and went straight to charity sort of thing

Been watching you since 2011 or so when I was a college student. I think it was either your Silent Hill 2 or Cry of Fear playthrough that brought me to your channel.
The final chase scene was a call to continuing on even though your demons are trying to keep you there. The initial demon chasing you was Maya based on her appearance, but that wasn’t the true demon haunting you. The final demon haunting you, the real demon, was your mother. How your mother was to you, you were to Maya. It was harder to escape that one because that demon has been with you the longest. That’s why you kept starting over to try again. When you said “Most people just gave up” it’s close to real life regarding keepipng on in real life when your demons are haunting you, which is why I think Maya saying “find it” was finding the reason to keep living. She found it because she thought she would lose both of her friends, but she still had a friend left. But she would if she let her demons get in the way. By getting rid of them she could move forward and truly be saved. Maya was trying to keep her alive FROM HERSELF this entire time. So even in the end, while Maya was fighting her own demons, she still seen her. Maya helped her break her cycle.

Brad, I have worked in various school locations with libraries and have my own library card and they are amazing. I get my taxes done for free every year, students still to choose libraries over study halls or the cafeteria, and it's a safe haven for us introverted bodies who like silence and get overstimulated with loud noises. The San Francisco branch offers free museum ($23-$30) days on 1st Thursdays and I literally live walking distance. They are fun for date nights!

While it's definitely a more modern take on the Silent Hill series, this honestly fits in perfectly with how the world in the games works. The monsters and places you see with each character are a reflection of their trauma, guilt, and "sins" that the main character in each game must overcome. There are a few characters in the series overall that don't follow that story structure, but overall, that's how it works.
With the main character here, we have Anita who is experiencing psychological conditions like the "fear of missing out (fomo)", cPTSD from her upbringing, and the fear of abandonment. Combine that with her guilt about Maya, who wanted to pass like a cherry blossom, we can see why the monster has those flowers mixed with barbed wire. She feels trapped, constantly hurt, and wanting to be beautiful and loved, but unable to see that herself. She has the words of her mother always swimming in her head, the constant exposure of someone artistically talented and skilled which Anita envies greatly (you can tell this because of the comments she makes, especially the one about being happy when her mother liked her drawing). She was dragged into Fog World, and when she still didn't get it and was about to lose to her mental illnesses and trauma, she had to face Otherworld/Rust World.
It's a very tragic, dark story that really highlights the mental health of everyone who is chronically online, trying to seek the approval of others through instant means, and it really shows what social media can do to young minds. It's a great commentary piece on today's mental health crisis, and for those who can stomach a playthrough, or at least a watch, I think this Silent Hill experience should be shared with more people.

The chase sequence in this game when you have to scan the photos reminds me of the Surtur trial from Hellblade. Feels so similar.

I stopped after 12:40. Why cut the video? This issue doesn't get better just by pretending it doesn't exist. I then went to Hollow's playthrough to watch what happened, and he handled it perfect while still allowing the story to play out.

I agree that the subject matter was very depressing and bit difficult to watch, but i think that makes for a great horror narrative game, very real issues in our world mixed with the Supernatural/Paranormal, so, i dont see it as a negative aspect. Also, you were asking who developed it... while the credits were rolling, bud Lol. It literally said Developed by "Hexa Drive" as you were saying, "I wonder who actuallu developed this, who was the actual developer?"
The last time you cover a Silent Hill inspired game was back in 2014, Silent Hill PT. Time flew by quick.
