- On March 3, 2020 We held our last in-person Lonesome Lounge Session before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down stages across the world. Lucky for us, we had a camera crew to document that evening. The stage at the Lonesome Rose was graced with local San Antonio legend Augie Meyers, Garrett. T. Capps and Charley Crockett. Please enjoy this beautiful live music memory with the one and only, Charley Crockett.

I like all kinds of music eventhough at heart ill always be a dirtbag proud metalhead, I love the soul of this music and it does take me back awhile ago growing up we had a grandfather who loved John Wayne and loved westerns and such and loved basic Americana and he will always be my standard image of how i was taught, took me back to those memories, very personal yet so real of a musician this man is.
Im 67 and the closest I got into country was Dan Hicks . I love the new Outlaw Country artists

Charley Crockett is bringing back music. Not just country, but true sit back and listen to music. I like all genres of music but all that is coming up are pretty faces that not only can sing, they talk nasty, dance nasty and it is no longer music, it's a porn movie. It doesn't solve your blues, make you happy, see you through a bad breakup, or give you something to listen to when you've met someone...it can but not in a realistic way. Charley sings real life. Thank you Charley Crockett.
His band is low key underrated. That guitarist is so smooth.

The Lonesome Rose exists as a sort of Aristotelian ideal of what a honky tonk should be. One day, tens of thousands will tell their grandkids about how they saw Charley Crockett there right before the pandemic.
