  • It got a bit sloppy at the end but what can you do. Most of these RDs are unsafe on hit unless you stagger, but the run would be terribly boring if I only tried to hit it of two of its moves. In the spirit of keeping the run interesting I also have Bond Seal equiped since I got really tired of dodging for two minutes while practicing.

I love your videos, I can finally watch a skilled player kill the bosses with a melee weapon and not those broken bullets that makes the game too ez, btw I would like to hear ur point of view about those broken gunner builds.

      Thank you. ^_^
This will probably be an unpopular opinion and I apologize in advance for the long winded reply but you asked!
In all fairness to gunners, it can be done skillfully if you decide to solo as a pure gunner without BR and non-homing bullets; I've tried but I'm not very good at it. However, standing on the other side of the map in multiplayer and taking turn unloading your entire OP reserve and holding block with your Tower depending on whether you have aggro or not doesn't. Literally anyone can do that and it makes absolutely no difference what aragami you are fighting. It's a playstyle with no learning curve.
As an example, when I made the first Crimson Orochi run, I went in completely blind. It took me about 50 hours of trial and error, getting used to his attack patterns, learning to identify move animations and just landing a hit, really. The final product was not beautiful to say the least but the sense of accomplishment was. Anyone who has seen that video and my most recent C. Orochi run should be able to tell the tremendous amount of work I put into this game, yet people call this game easy because 1) guns and blood rage are an option, and 2) perilous missions are not the default setting in the game.
There really isn't any reason to go all melee or do perilous missions if you aren't looking for a sense of accomplishment since that's all you are going to get, so people should feel free to use whatever's on their disposal. However, it's an insult me and everyone else who puts the time into breaking down how to properly fight an aragami when these players are put on a pedistal and are praised for their skill. It's kind of like deciding to climb a mountain while your friend rides a gondola lift and gets an equal amount of praise. You both reached the top, the means by how you did so clearly shouldn't matter, right?
Does it really matter though? Nah. I don't play this game to get praised for the amount of time I put in. I play and choose to play it this way because this is how I'm having fun and it's how I can continue to enjoy the game for a long time. ^_^ I've always been one to embrace the good aspects of a game rather than getting too worked up over everything I would have changed about it.

Nice to see a long blade run! You did a good job^^ I wish the long blade had more viable blood arts for these kinds of things. I can't aim rising dragon to save my lifeXD

Haha thanks. I also wish there were more viable BBAs but as far as perilous viability goes I'd rank this 4th overall (Final Vengeance, Crescendo, Astral Dive, and Rising Dragon). It's definitely worth putting time into, even if it's sort of wonky in the beginning. ^_^

That was amazing, I'm still trying to master hitting things consecutively with this BA. Do you know which long blade is the strongest non elemental sword? Looking for one to put the right skills on it.

Abbey Claymore has the highest slashing attribute. As a matter of fact, I believe it becomes available after beating this mission.

Awesome, thanks for the answer! Now I know what weapon to save any good god arc skills for once I get there.
