I've said it once and I'll say it again, give me one flame tank and I will conquer the world!!
As Palatine once said "do it"
Looking forward to the small nation - only”flametanks” Challenge.
This is not meta the brick cheap medium 1 or 2 is better. but use this things on 10 with paratroopers they are insane
Hey can I ask you what the ending song is? Ty.
You can make the heavy flamer amphibious! ^^
Wow, I'm ahead of the meta for once. I've been doing heavy flame tanks already. It's great 🔥
Nice 👍
Churchill crocodile gaming
Same too I don’t bother with tanks unless they’re heavy so to save XP I always converted my heavy tanks to flame heavy tanks
Sameee. Can't be bothered to get flame and light tanks at same time
They are garbage they giving u in most terrain tiles negative terrain penalty why would u even think about using them
Been doing that for a long time now, because it only takes 15 heavy flamers per support division it always ends up being pretty cost effective.
Drink everytime Dave calls the heavy a 'medium'
Food for thought: designating a heavy tank as a flamer reduces most of its stats by a large margin, but soft attack, not so much. If you plan to add your heavy flamer to a tank division that's going to have lots of breakthrough anyway, consider stacking small cannon turrets for soft attack on it, instead of breakthrough.
the production cost isnt worth it, paradox made the extra turrets terrible because they were a bad idea IRL
The production cost in general is just bonkers. I did some stat comparisons and for some reason, an advanced wheeled light rocket artillery tanks cost more to make than motorized artillery trucks and yet the cheaper trucks have vastly more breakthrough and soft attack. I just don't understand why tanks have such awful stats and are so expensive.
@@Edax_Royeaux Historically, the Ferdinand existed, and that was ass expensive and failed constantly
@@Miller_Davus What does a Heavy Tank Destroyer have to do with anything I said? I'm willing to bet the Russian T-40 tank armed with a rocket launcher was cheaper than a Tiger Tank.
Thanks for drawing dev attention to this.
Brother, prepare the flamer. The heavy flamer.
HANZ GET ZE FLAMMENWERFER...PANZERKAMPFWAGEN!!!
Ah, bulletproof infantry. Such fun.
Light Tank Recon for Breakthrough + Heavy Flame Tank for armor? Support artillery and support rocket artillery for soft attack and SF R/R for organization and just enough infantry for HP. Add AT if you need piercing. The new universal division.
"this don't work, just have 13423424 milion men and you are ok"
stalin, josef
Or, you know, just an infantry division. Support art, engineers, flametanks, armored recon. Then just a normal infantry-heavy built in the line battalions. Like, a 9/1 worked out decent for me, as did a 10/1 with an added line AT or line AA if you wanna get fancier. Fifth support company slot you can use to cram in maintenance or logistics, too. You will need a decent surplus production for the light tnaks and flametanks though, they tend to suffer a lot of attrittion losses.
This is litteraly what I thought while watching your previous video. I was like: Since there is no medium or heavy tank recon, we should use flame tanks and they also provide good attack bonuses. I was kinda mad because you didn't realise this in the previous video.
You didn't know if we're upset when you keep saying meta, but in Poland we think of something else, because meta in Polish (excluding literally meaning "finish") is often used to describe methamphetamine.
Should we call it the flame tank meth?

Just as I was thinking it, he was commenting on it. Lol
They should just add medium and heavy support tank battallions.
Normal ones, not flame tanks.
Recon ones?
If I had a dollar for every video that had the word meta in it.
Something to try, mostly for more Breakthrough, but also partly for just a bit more division Hardness and some more division Armor from the support company battalion, is having a light tank support company in addition to a flame tank support company.
With two tank support companies instead of just one, the total number of tanks in the support company battalion will come out pretty close to the total number of tanks in a line battalion, meaning that just maybe the Armor penalty to the battalion of support companies from having only half or so the number of tanks of a tank line battalion won't apply as much. There are probably some tricky maths behind the scenes that just might allow someone to stumble upon some possible new meta like light tank flamer support plus light tank recon support.
I found medium flame tanks and a light tank recon company work well for me. Light tanks can be armed with a decent range of weapons, too, depending on wether you want some extra hard attack, soft attack or just save production.
What about Super Heavy Flame Tank for late game?
TL : DR use medium flamers in your mobile(mechanized/armored) divisions and heavy flamers in your offensive infantry divisions.
I was already running light tank recon and heavy tank flamers before the patch to make unpiercable infantry. All of the flamethrower companies are really really good even without the armor. Light tank recons might still be worth it with a close support gun as an extra ghetto artillery batallion.
And in 1941 you just slap on the advanced autocannon for nearly as much soft attack, a decnet boost to piercing and hard attack and a cost reduction compared to the close support gun.
Still remember your 40w Space Marines video from 2018. Glad the meta is back in some form.

Me about to destroy a whole lobby of my brothers noob friends 🔥
Absolutely great advices!
For that final division that was shown, would a smaller combat width be better to be able to fit more divisions into more types of terrain? i.e. 24
Looks like i need to change my template up slightly. My attack template was a basic 9 infantry with support Art, AA, Armored light recon, and Medium Flame tanks.
Thanks for keeping your face in the video but out the stats 😉
You're awesome and love the video!!
remember my words when the medium flame tank get nerf you are going to go heavy flame tank meta.
If you're using it just for defense you can put a dozer blade on the flame tank. It gets you another whole entrenchment
Small suggestion, instead of engineers, maintenace, and instead of antiair, tank antiair (inside the division obviously)
This allows you to go lighter in the tank price, you don't need to stack the maximum armour to get to that 30+, but you need to spec in two different tank lines, but heavy industry nations can pull it off probably.

Interwar heavy tank chassis costs the same as basic heavy tank. So id rather go with basic.
Finally flame tank topic thank u bro
I recommend going for 1934 med AA. You dont need to build separate AA, get a lot of armor and 1 division is only 36 machines.
You can hit the same thresholds with mediums, hitting 2/3ds the cost and higher armor with cast armor mediums, and half the cost and only 1 lower effective armor with welded armor mediums.
The cost saving are enough for you to add small gun 2 wheeled light tanks to the division, making the divisions higher breakthrough, more general purpose (they can kill medium tanks without falling into a piercing trap three years earlier then AAII becoming available, *FOR LESS COST THEN AA 2*,) and making up the one point of effective armor loss by adding a second armored support company.

Use this with the AA amphibious and you control all the elements

the lord of the feed back did it again
which land doctrine must used with this tank meta ?
man, literally 2 days ago i was thinking: maybe let's try some heavy flame tanks XD
Well, if you want to be unpierceable, just go for medium tank battalion I suppose. Recon uses only 0.02 supply, that's the important part other than the 24 pieces required.
You forget the hidden stat reliability of tank 3 vs tank 2
Would combining it with light tank rec be worth it?
What doctrine is best for this?
Is this live? Or in beta?
The chrom cost of the heavy 2 flame tank may not be viable for most chrom starved nations. Would a heavy 1 be a viable alternative?
Honestly. I prefer the term doctrine. Meta has such a wide use as a term. For me the meta game was always about the game outside the game. Like if you use information you as a player have that you character do not have (Table Top RPG dilemma). Or something more related to HoI. How, if you're in a long game with players, may decide to use real world diplomacy (maybe even including... bribery?) to win over people. Not always a bad thing, even if a lot of what I mention may ruin the spirt of the game.
That is why I prefer the term doctrine. To quote Wikipedia: "Concept of an established procedure to a complex operation.". Of course, one tank is not the whole doctrine. But forms the part of the central doctrine. The only issue of using this term in HoI specifically is that there is already an in game concept of a doctrine. But else I think it fits better. Oddly enough, I have not seen the term be used in this way that much in games. With the only exception I can think about is a game which heavy use meta gaming as a term for what I described above and use doctrine for what others would call meta in other games.

32 IC Flame tanks, 10W infantry... Mmmm i feel like the tank conversion bug needs to be part of this game 😂
might as well go for a dirt cheap medium tank battalion at this point
Can some one clear up this for me? The flame tank get its stats dumped hard, but only require 1/3 tanks as support. How does this converts? Is it really better adding a heavy flame support than adding a normal tank battalion for stats?
You need only 15 of them.
Heavy Flamer Space Marines, am I playing Hoi4 or Warhammer
Churchill Crocodile Tank meta? Based
You are forgetting one very important thing when it comes to flame tank support companies and the production costs: You never need many of them. In fact I find I need so few flame tanks I can rarely be bothered to put more than a handful of factories in to them... if I even bother to use more than *one* AND that's on more expensive, more advanced chassis. Really, you can go nuts with the design and there is one very good reason to use later model tanks when you do that: you can convert your surplus to another design. Find yourself short 800 tanks and with a surplus of 200 flame tanks? Hit that convert button, save a couple months of production time, after all, what is going to hurt the division more, potentially being short a few flame tanks or a massive deficit of front line tanks?
A lot of inaccuracy's in your comment. 2 easy '1s.
'You never been many of them'. I explained that in the light tank recon meta video.
AND you can't convert to flame tanks. Is it a bug? I dunno. BUT you just can't.

@@FeedbackIRL Why didnt you make this the samw video as the light recon video
I´ve not been that surprised to see this and now I´m just waiting for the next video "Airborn now viable??".
How do I come up with that Idea? By the following:
Make a 10 (or 20 if you have the cap and men power) width Airborne, put Heavy Flamers for the armor and Terrain Bonus, Engineers for enttrenchment, Anti Air and Artillery support for obvious reasons, maybe even an AT support if you feel spicy and drop those bad boys on important Railways or Supply hubs. Use the Transport planes you used to drop the Airborne to do Air Supply missionsand since you already got Air supriority you also should have the needed Close Air support for these Divisions to hold out long enough to see, how the enemy starts having big supply problems on the Frontline.
With that, you can start doing money moves while the enemy is busy trying to get rid of the Airborne in order to fix his supply.
Works better against Players, since the AI seems not to be affected by the supply system.
Warhemmer 40k flamer and heavy flamer
Old as shit, been using it since NSB came out. Pretty good ngl
Armor doesn't do anything if you have 0 hardness on your division.
You'd need at least 1 motorized, mechanized, or tank company to benefit from the armor bonus of the flame tank at all. and this isn't really suitable for a motorized division because even a flamer with max speed will still slow down it down from it's 12kph.
wrong. goldshieldspacemarine kills an inf very effectively.
"u need at least 1.." is backed up nowhere.
you can make a normal tank batalion and this way you dont have to make it a flame tank
Why do you care about 10 armor on the division? Infantry+Arty has 5 piercing total until 1942.
Why isnt there a Medium Tank recon company?
AT LAST Churchill Crocodile is the Meta
Ending musica name?
have you already looked into the differences between singleplayer and multiplayer?
yea idk, multiplayers ban any amour value in infantery and singleplayer is just boring xd
wow
Personally I feel like the sweet spot is medium flamethrowers, you can get 11 armour for a 24 width at 7 production cost. The real nerf is that you need to research engineers 2 😢
meta this meta that... have you ever meta girl?
That's so meta
wouldnt it be cheaper to add a cheap medium with loots of armor and a medium flamer as a support company?
NOPE because 1 battlion requires x3 more tanks thne a support
Historically, Reich used Heavy tanks as independent operators mostly. It never occured to me that you can actually add Heavies as a support, which somewhat emulates that
Flamethrowers only.

Fun fact you dont even need to produce the tank to have the stadistics of armor and atac bonuses, sure u would get a debuf in steng wich is prety bad but you would have the bonuses, i didnt test this and maybe they fixed this but it could work if you dont have th eproduction for it
You get the terrain bonuses but the armour comes from the equipment itself.
It sounds like when they nerfed the recon tanks by making their stats more proportional, they forgot to do the same thing to flame tanks, hence this meta. Enjoy it while it lasts I guess.
They didn't. The heavy tonks just have that much more armour. You used to be able to do the light tank recon thing with light tanks that have just 18 armour since the support company used the same rule as the brigades where 40% of the armour comes from the highest armour brigade and the rest is averaged out.
4:59 wth
Methamphetamine?
I mentioned this in your discord channel in the paidforexploits channel, but if you only want the terrain bonuses from a flame tank you can simply just not produce them, instead of making a dirt cheap flame tank you make it however you want, don't produce it, add the company and you suddenly have a free flame tank on your divs
[EDIT]:
Credit to this one goes to a person who's message was right above mine in the paidforexploits channel
If you also want the armor bonuses you can make a medium or light SPAA (i do mediums), they are relatively cheap, give you insane armor(30 armor on a 30-width with mediums) and you don't have to make any AA with it meaning the expense is kinda payed for in thatyou don't have to do AA.
Thanks for helping out the solo gamers. :)
No problem 👍
Awwwww yes. This is what I needed.

Great now they're gonna nerf that. Paradox, stop nerfing the meta!
Why am I not making Falme Tanks? Cause I'm not willing to drop 20 bucks for something that should have been added to the base game. Much like the Ship designer.
I'd take the recon out and replace it with support art.
Better yet, put a close support gun on the recon and it becomes a support artillery
