    I visited Konopiste in 1984 before the fall of the Iron Curtain. After 30 years I still marvel at the huge number of hunting trophies and weaponry. Thanks for posting this video. It brought back great memories.

    if he had become Emperor, he would have changed the laws that said his wife and children could not inherit him. And he loved hunting as much as his family. He must have a been a great kind man. He hated the ways of the elders that was so conservative that one could not belive it . Beautiful estate, and wonderful trophy collection.

    When FF married Sophie (she was no match to a emperor due to her status) he was no longer in line for the throne, nor were any of his children et cetera.

      His children were excluded from the line, yes, but he himself was still the heir presumptive and would have become the emperor, had he not been shot.
