As someone who has played several seasons and also owns darth vader, I can only say that I find the exclusivity of the skins really unnecessary and that I feel sorry for every star wars fan who missed out on darth vader.
I still use the Darth Vader during the star wars events because I like seeing if anyone else has it or the mandalorian. I get it sucks but it makes it more fun for me when I see less of the same skin, because if everybody had the same skin it wouldn't be popular
I feel like maybe some of the collab skins shouldn’t be exclusive, especially the bigger ones, because 1: if they go the supercell route, it would make them more money since it’s very popular already, and 2: they already make custom skins that are exclusive, so collectors could just have those instead.
Event passes are for Battle Royale the other modes have their own distinct battle passes just like how Battle Royale has its battle pass and I know it's still fortnite but technically fortnite festival and fortnite Lego are their own games so they can price what they want an event pass is pretty much a collaboration event happening in Battle Royale that includes skins and items you can aquire that are apart of the event
I feel like Fortnite original skins should stay exclusive to battle passes, but collabs like Darth Vader and the Mandalorian shouldn't be, it's pretty unfair for people who want to griddy as Darth Vader but don't have him.
They should release collabs into the shop and like give the option to get vbucks or something if you already owned the skin when it was in the pass, like they could release vader and offer 1500 vbucks or multiple exclusive styles to original owners
Not only this more expensive than a normal event pass, but we got this JUST after the Avatar one, which okay sure. But it was just for Lego, only including one outfit and builds. The bigger issue is that the game is so bare bones that there's no real point in using these builds. You're better off playing in a creative map for those things. "Oh but it's cheaper for Chewie", yes, that's how they get you, they know people would buy it anyway and continue to sell Lego items. Also another thing, doesn't matter if it was exclusive in BR, they should at least have some sort of way to use them in Lego even for a little bit. Overall it just feel this is like the Rocket League situation all over again, over monetization and out of touch socials. And no UI changes since that tweet as well, it seems they just want to push these additional modes to break even, instead of actually making a fun experience.
I saw a video from i talk recently. He thinks their giving is so many mini passes to keep us playing because they don’t have confidence that we’d play the game on our own. Quantity over quality is what’s happening here
the easiest fix for all problems is to not be greedy, make a shop where every cosmetic, including now locked away skins, constantly available if for a higher price, then the Item Shop is more of a Daily Deals, shtick. But no, because we can't have Fortnite without Gatekeeping and Greed
The battlepass FOMO does not have to be the way it is. Fortnite should just bring back battlepass skins at a higher price. Players will complain for about 3 days before they realize it's not a big deal at all.

Fortnite should take ideas from the overwatch battlepass. They give you a seperate currency that allows you to buy "mythic characters from the mythic shop. Mythic characters are teir 100 battlepass characters from old seasons.

I was a bit excited to get Chewie, but when I got on and saw the price, it made me jump back, especially after the avatar pass which was a reasonable price. Personally even if lego didn't exist, I feel like they would still price it like that. creative royel was the thing i loved about the og seaso the most. i remember swinging around the og island using the graple glove wile at almost max setting. simple plessures like that trully make the game spesial, but thats not what fortnite wants.

Hate how the mini passes are actually more than the battle pass
I hate the fact the battle pass's are lock, like for an example i wanted Optimus Prime but i didnt have a consoles so i couldnt get him, nor darth vador or eren yeager, even iron man due to the fact i couldnt play back then, and is also the fact that some parents dont have the constant money to keep buying these things, like i just brought Avatar and i dont have money to buy lego, Festival and the crew and if i miss this i'll be super upset cause i don't have enough money to keep buying these stuff, like for another example this star wars (2024) cost around 12,000+ Vbucks and thats near 90$, like bro im not rich, like sometimes fortnite needs to calm down, but not only that some people can't even finished all the event pass due to work, school, and other things like in Chapter 4 Season 4 I had to stay up 12 in the moring to finished the battle pass cause i alsways be busy and with battle pass's, Festival pass's lego pass and rocket racing, like i don't i have time to complete everything i can barly play rocket racing cause my mom always need something and i have to play (BR) cause i need the quest rewards but i aslo need to do fesitval cause i want billy, sometimes i just wish that fortnite can make the battle pass come back at maybe 1,000 vbucks or so but any way fortnite needs to calm down. :(
I think they should release battle pass skins like a year after the season ends but for normal item shop prices. That way you can still get those skins for 950 vbucks and if you miss them, sure maybe you pay more for 1 skin that the entire pass but atleast there is no skins that are locked away forever.

You know what? This is incredibly stupid of them to just delete creative royale because I feel like that song "Fortnite kinda dying" is going to happen sooner or later. Having the same boring game modes we never wanted but just got them anyways is kinda dumb. If they really wanted to gain more popular they would not have had a bunch of exclusive skins be battle pass exclusive, or they could keep creative royale so we can make fun games. The other day me and my cousins were playing something I Made and now Fortnite acting like dumb rich boys can just shut things down just like that. Why not bring it back with save the world on the switch why don't ya epic?!
I think they should that is one time only where you pay 3,500 Vbucks to claim anything from a battle pass that you played obviously added on how much battle pass cost wise to claim more items you pay 3,500 each time but only if you play during that season
And another complaint is that darthvader doesn’t have that collar helmet piece from the bottom of the helmet that kinda disappoint me alittle

I think the reason why its so expensive is because its star wars collab. They can make alot of money from it given the big star wars fans. I honestly think even though they are complaining about it, they are still gonna get the lego pass simply because they like star wars.
I was a bit excited to get Chewie, but when I got on and saw the price, it made me jump back, especially after the avatar pass which was a reasonable price. Personally even if lego didn't exist, I feel like they would still price it like that. (I personally own darth vader, but never use him, and it sucks for people who ACTUALLY wanna use him, cause my fella is just rotting in plenty of people's lockers)

creative royel was the thing i loved about the og seaso the most. i remember swinging around the og island using the graple glove wile at almost max setting. simple plessures like that trully make the game spesial, but thats not what fortnite wants.
