Mitch is my favorite tho of course I love them all. But though some people will tell you that you shouldn't have a favorite, ignore them. You aren't being disrespectful or saying anyone else is bad, it's more human nature. Ptx is very diverse, in about every way, each person more or less has their own flavor. Ira normal that one flavor touches your soul more than others. For me it's mitch. He can draw the emotion in people more than anyone else. He's like a magician! He's a counter tenor, which is a very rare vocal "flavor" (to use my former euphemism). It's in essence someone who is a tenor but who's vocal range extends up into soprano. Meaning he can go higher than kirsty. Can Kevin go higher? Perhaps. But can Kevin be anyone else go higher NATURALLY? No. Mitch doesn't need falsetto, where the other boys do. And if you compare "The Prayer " for example to Kevin in "Kiss by a Rose" or "imagine" you hear the difference. Tho beautiful any falsetto sounds a bit unnatural, and they have to strain to hit it. With Mitch I've yet to see him strain on anything. That said un this mash up he is using his falsetto. The arrangement of this song doesn't require the power of the counter tenor. Because its weaving two songs together, right down to he and Scott singing each songs chorus simultaneously, mitch voice needed be high bit light like snowflakes falling from the sky. Just another example of the mastery and control he has of his own instrument. Mitch is singing "Christmas Time is Here ", written in 1965 (or 1964) by Vince Guaraldi and featured in the classic "a Charlie Brown Christmas". If you havent seen it, first. Why not?? And second, you must. And of course "Pure Imagination " is from Willy Wonka movies and written by the original willy himself, Gene Wilder, in 1971. Rip.
