  • Do you know the fascination of stone painting? It doesn't always have to be a canvas to paint fascinating works of art.
Stones are everywhere, plus a few acrylic paints and some resin and you can create dreamlike little works or rocks of art. A beautiful decoration for your home or as a gift for a loved one.
To get started you only need a few stones, don't take square ones, round stones paint better. I found my stones in the field, take a walk in nature and you're sure to find your next art supplies.
Now you need acrylic paints, the brand does not really matter, the acrylic paints you dilute each in equal parts with water and casting medium. So 1:1:1
For the casting medium, you can take any that is available in your area or one here on Amazon*= colors-amzn.to/33pgcFT- medium amzn.to/3GSZiNq
With stone painting, the substrate is solid, so the materials here are not as important as with a canvas, which is flexible. With a canvas, cracks can occur with the wrong mix recipe or the wrong casting medium.
You don't have these problems with stone painting.
In the video you can see how the stones look dried, they then have a nice matte surface, who likes that, the stones do not have to seal extra.
However, if you want to get a nice shine, you can either paint the stone after drying with the casting medium (it creates a delicate shine) or as I did it, seal the stone with an epoxy resin. Again, the brand doesn't matter, use the epoxy resin you get locally or take one from Amazon*= amzn.to/3GU3Fb1
Here's the overview of the different painting techniques that await you in this compilation:
    00:00 Collect stones
    00:16 Clean the stones
    01:01 Prime stones with paint
01:35 Painting stones with a pouring funnel
04:09 here I paint a stone with the drip technique
06:42 the next stone is painted with the infinity method
08:45 Stone number four, here I use the split pour technique to paint the stone
11:06 painting a stone with a coffee filter holder
If you want to see the different painting techniques on canvas, here are a few nice examples of me.
First, the video which I showed you at the beginning, paint with a brush: • Painting with Hand-Nai...
And here the individual painting techniques as with my stones, only on canvas.
Acrylic pouring with a dancing funnel: • Pour painting with a d...
Acrylic drip painting: • Acrylic drip painting ...
Acrylic pour painting with the Infinity technique: • The Infinity technique...
Fluid art painting with split pour: • Fluid Art / The Other ...
Painting with a coffee filter holder: • Acrylic pour Painting ...
I hope you could learn something again, if you liked the idea I appreciate a thumbs up or a nice comment.

That resin really makes what could look like a failed project, really POP! Beautiful results! Imagine telling people you give rocks to people for presents! They would think you were nuts..... until they see rocks like THESE! Thank you for showing!

I love these. To keep from wasting excess paint, I'd put a canvas underneath the stone and little cup and get 6 small or 1 medium size painting to sell.

Stunning! But I would want to paint the bottom side too, and save all the paint dripping down into a bowl for dipping other rocks or pebbles. Can't wait to have a play around with these ideas. Thank you, for your creativity.

I don't use even a tenth of the paint you do for a pour, looks very wasteful! But mine are very popular and sell very well. I mention this because some people can't spend a lot on materials, but folks try your own ways in your art!! You'll be surprised!! Best wishes to all!!👍😍❤️

2 .. With remaking Paint on Canvas. Tilt the canvas in 4 directions
    3 when dry.. Varnish
4 you have.. Created a painted stone and canvas

I love rock painting, you have some wonderful ideas. Very often before I resin the rocks I will put a sticker of some kind, maybe with an encouraging word, or small positive attention getter. I also participate in Art Abandonment, which is the international group of artists that share their artwork anonymously by leaving them in public places, restaurants, sidewalks, walking trails, any place that's legal. It's a lot of fun to know that your artwork is bringing joy to others!
