I say this very light heartedly and without malice, Charlie may have got it backwards when he said it was difficult to get the San to understand the Western music. It is infact Charlie who may have struggled to understand the perhaps very ancient nature and knowledge of music as it is understood by the San. Should he dig delve deeper into their understanding of music, we'll see much greater works or collaborations in future.
