After more than 30 years of shaping progressive metal history, EVERGREY rises again, announcing the release of their fourteenth studio album, 'Theories of Emptiness', set for release on June 7, 2024, via Napalm Records.
Guided by unmistakable founder, singer, and guitarist Tom S. Englund, EVERGREY has maintained a remarkable consistency, hitting the biggest festivals worldwide, such as Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock, Summer Breeze and Graspop, and throughout thirteen studio albums. Each of these - blending dark, emotive themes with complex progressive elements and melodic heavy metal - has earned them a reputation as pioneers of the genre and secured their timeless mark on metal.
Theories of Emptiness' was produced by Tom S. Englund and Jonas Ekdahl, and was mixed by Adam "Nolly" Getgood (ex-Periphery), who worked closely with the band from the start - bringing out the vividness of the album’s overall sonic profile. Rounding out the album’s production, mastering was helmed by Thomas “Plec” Johansson (Soilwork, The Night Flight Orchestra, Onslaught, The Gems, Eleine and many more).

EVERGREY ❤❤❤
Really enjoyed this interview! Recently discovered the band in '21.. Seems like a band that takes a lot of respectful pride in all they do.. Love the new album, on autoplay since friday. Certainly at the top of my list for album of the year... Come to the U.S. 🙂
Thanks for sharing that! You have lots of discography to discover then!
Wow that was an awesome interview!! And wow no wonder the bass lines rule, because the bassist wrote (most of) the songs! That’s so cool!
Glad you enjoyed the interview! What's your favorite song on the album so far?
@@BelgianJasper it’s hard to choose, but I really love “One Heart”, “Cold Dreams”, “Say”, “To Become Someone Else” and “We Are The North”. But really, it’s hard to choose, they were all so good
Nice to have someone other than Tom from the band to speak about it. That Jonas farewell was very well done and I'm happy they all choose to leave it in the video. Evergrey has a good track record with announcing member changes. I remember many years ago they made a video all together explaining why Jonas & Henrik were leaving the band which I had never seen happen before. There is no other band like Evergrey. From their sound, Tom's vocals or their style of heavy, progressive music or to their much softer side and piano ballads. They are very unique. I wish they had the ability to come to Canada, It's been a very long time. I haven't seen them since the Inner Circle tour cycle opening for Iced Earth. Been fan ever since!
Thanks for sharing that and I agree completely 🤘 wow what was the highlight of that show for you, do you remember?
@@BelgianJasper Just the immense power and precision struck me from the opening song of the set which was "A Touch of Blessing". That one song hooked me in ever since. On the bill were Children of the Bodom, which at that time did not impress as much as Evergrey did. Iced Earth was the "Ripper" fronted "Glorious Burden" tour and were great but Evergrey just stuck with me. Met them all at the merch table afterwards as well. The days before "selfies" so I have no evidence of that.
@@thepriest98 that sounds like a fantastic show!
Why did you write „they all chose to leave it in the video“? That was pretty much the idea of the video to farewell Jonas
@@evergrey4life955 This was discussed in this interview. They shot the ending and discussed whether it worked well and should be left it or not. They chose to leave it in. The purpose this or any music video is to promote the album.
