  • Sugarloaf is calling and we’re going to try to make it to the top again! It may be a fool’s errand, but we’ve been told there are monkeys and we aren’t going to give up with only a few days left in Rio!
While having dinner at the Fairmont’s restaurant, Marine, we met Chef Cordeiro and he kindly invited us into his kitchen to see how he uses his Josper to create his amazing menu. We learned so much and consider it the highlight of our time in his awesome city.
On our last night in town, we visit Mee and have sushi and cocktails.

It was great...couldn't believe our luck though...you'd think you would get at least one day of sunshine in 2 weeks! Oh well...I saw you're channel...loving the vids! We subbed for more 👍

You have been so unlucky with the weather but the food you tried looked amazing! The monkeys reminded us of the little worm in Labyrinth haha!

Geez the presentation of his food, that chef is legit. I bet y'all are enjoying it down South. Keep up the high quality/professional vibing videos. Y'all are getting better with each upload -c/t

PS I might have asked before but what camera are you using for the monkey footage? That looks so crisp, HDR and unreal. Definitely an awesome censor in that thing!

Hey...sorry, I remember you asking before. We use the GH5 and GH5s for most everything (expect walking and talking, that's a GoPro). The GH5 when we're outdoors (monkeys) GH5s (best ISO) for slo-mo of food. We had a blast in South America (crazy behind on editing)...we'll actually be in Austin in a couple of weeks!

Wow, vegetables that have been cooked for two days😮 And definitely, flavor over the look! I`m sure even despite the bad luck with the weather you enjoyed Rio

Yeah we had a blast despite the weather! We’ve been really lucky with weather, just a bummer it had to have bad weather in Rio!

sorry the weather wasnt ideal but the culinary experiences seemed to make up for it. The behind the scenes tour by Chef Cordeiro was awesome! Something very rare and unique. His explanation of the dishes illustrate his love and passion for his food. I never heard of Josper oven. It looks like it really adds unique flavors to the various meats and seafood. I'm totally hungry now!!! The monkeys looked like gremlins from the movie. So cute!!!

What a bummer you missed Sugarloaf again. Did they give you passes to get up the second time, since it was clouded over the first? Also, that food looks amazing. Did they sponsor you the meal in exchange for the video? We've done that a few times. Works pretty well. Love watching... already subbed and liked #9 Michael & Melissa c/t

I've never seen monkeys like that! How surreal. I loved the amount of time you spent on each section, the perfect time to soak up the beautiful footage but also effortlessly slide into the next adventure. The music was fitting and the drone footage added some nice context. Loved it!

What a view from the hotel! Cool that you got access to the kitchen too - gives a whole new insight into the food. Great to learn about the Josper too, never seen one of them before. You guys always kill it with the food b-roll! Such a shame about the clouds, but at least you got the monkeys! That Wagyu beef looks so good...

Yay Rio! One of my dreams is to go there! Though there was some bad weather, it still seems so beautiful. The food looked too good at the restaurant. It was super nice that the chef invited you to the back - so exclusive 😉. You can tell that he is passionate about his cooking! And awww look at that little visitor in your wine 😂.
