I'll definitely say that the argument stands here for why villains are attractive. A hero will sacrifice you were for the world. While the villain will sacrifice the world for you.
Counter-argument - heroes would not be able to live with themselves knowing they had to sacrifice you to save the world - they might even consider joining you. Villains would do it without a care in the world, no matter the number of innocent people there.
“I’m fine; why wouldn’t I be fine? Just that the only person I love... will never love me.” The sadness in Villain Mindful’s tone during this lime really tugged at my heartstrings. Fog, I absolutely love the atmosphere(literally) it gives I said it once and I’ll say it til the day I die, I always enjoy the villain and hero being lovers
This premise reminds me of a story I was part of once: I was a part of a CYOA style story that had our character as a really smart soldier in a sorta college for Supers and Mutants and stuff. We had been doing missions and got this one mission where we had to help rehabilitate an Ex-Villain named La Gritadora (she dressed in Gothic Los Muertos style for her uniform which I thought was pretty cool). She had the ability to scream so fucking loud she'd blasted the side of a mountain off in a previous fight with the setting's version of All Might (Captain Omega I think his name was). Well long story short, we find out she was part of a league of villains that she had a falling out with and didn't agree with the lifestyle anymore, had a change of heart and wanted to be reformed. She's really obedient (doesn't do bad stuff and doesn't kill people for slight inconveniences), plus we work well together. Time passes and it's Fall, there's a ball being held. We attend with some friends and we see La Gritadora being literally ostracized (which is honestly the norm for someone who was able to tango with Captain Omega and used to be huge deal villain). Collectively we (the choice makers of the story: me and 2 others) offer to dance with her in front of everyone because we know she's nice and is an honest person. We ended up not finishing this story, but the author told us about the life of our previous MC and how he'd died a martyr to save the planet from a massive gene-bomb scenario. He then started another story, only we ended up playing as his kid this time. Our MC married La Gritadora because she fell for him at that dance.
"Well, I guess if I'm going to be here for awhile, I might as well ask, since I've always wondered... I mean, don't hate me, but... What kind of reception do you get with those antennae?"
This audio was a beautiful mix of so many emotions, and I wanted to hug Mindful so hard during the audio. She sounded so upset and frustrated that the listener didn’t believe that her feelings were genuine. Could we please hear audios like this? It was really sweet hearing that Villain Mindful tries her best to help the listener and how vulnerable she was with them about her feelings. You did an absolutely amazing job of conveying how concerned Mindful was about the listeners wellbeing because of their injuries, how deeply she cares for them, and how upset and frustrated she was that the listener didn’t believe her feelings were genuine, Mindful! The listener and Mindful’s dynamic was heartbreakingly beautiful to listen with how upset and frustrated she was that they didn’t think her feelings were genuine. She deserves to feel happy and loved the same as anyone else.
