The Draco scene was not an official deleted scene. As I said in the video, this is only official scenes. That scene was just b roll that fans found
It’s okay also great video!
Movie flame please I've been wanted to ask you. Can you write when you can your own Harry potter sequel. I know you will make it better than the curse child one. Please if you can

MovieFlame: Hogwarts legacy review!
Make gameplays, I'll watch!
did you notice that some cuts of the movie have the deleted scenes? considering my view they should have been left in anyway, its a nice touch. consider all the improv crap that gets in and you can understand why these deleted scenes wouldnt have been hard to keep.
They should definitely make a official Harry Potter extended edition with every released deleted scene included with higher picture quality i mean i would buy it.
Me too!!
I guess they did that with the first film right ? because i've seen the deleted scene in the movie.
If you watch them on cable TV they do add some of the deleted scenes back into the movies. You can actually find the first 2 movie's extended cuts on a torrent site, not that I would do such a thing.
@@yahyakanouni yeah the first two movies have got official extended editions but it would be cool the same with the rest of the series
I mean what can't you milk out of Harry Potter fans... 😀
I always felt like a huge miss throughout the series was to leave out the « everyday » interactions in the common rooms. The production may have felt like it was unnecessary and should be replaced by more meaningful scenes but to me, the scenes where students are playing game, having group conversations, snogging in the corners are what makes this whole thing even more relatable. It really highlight the fact that they’re still teenagers, doing teenagers things. And not just for Gryffindor it would have been nice to have some insight into other common rooms too.
More wholesome too
yes!!! those were always my favorite moments of the books because it showed everyday life in the magical world!
and thats what im hoping we will get in the series
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how BADASS Neville’s Nan is. Raised her grandson on her own, single handily took on a load of death eaters when they tried to kidnap her and then runs to go help Neville fight in the final battle after being on the run for a year from some of the darkest wizards of all time.
I love how proud she is about Neville. At first she thought him weak, because the two strongest and closest people to her were punished in a much worse way than death, and Neville was being nothing but a pushover in her eyes. Then, he stands up for himself at the end of the OOTP and you can see the immediate 180 she does.
'Have you seen my grandson?’
‘He’s fighting,’ said Harry.
‘Naturally,’ said the old lady proudly. ‘Excuse me, I must go and assist him.’
The sad thing is, Neville was always this strong, he just wasn't given the chance to be himself. It's ironic, that when he is himself, he is the best of his mother and father. He is what she wanted all along.
In my eyes, Neville is the master-class of character writing.
@@TheIrisCZ And it's the coming-into-his-own in this way that makes him a Gryffindor. Very few of us are straight-up "bold" and "brave" or "arrogant" to begin with - bravery is a learned skill, and a skill you don't learn unless you really value whatever you're pursuing. You're willing to ignore every sign screaming at you not to do something, in order to do it because it's what's right. "Arrogance" only comes into it because we prioritise our morals over our fears, which some folks don't understand - they'd rather play it safe than stand out for going against the grain. Apologies for the wall of text but Gryffindors get a bad rap so it needed saying. Rant over lol.
Much better than neville's uncle who threw him out a window in my opinion
Augusta Longbottom is true queen, such a bad ass
@@TheIrisCZThe Sorting Hat saw his latent bravery.
Idk. Yaxley finding her parents house gave me shivers. Because I thought she was paranoid and extreme for wiping her parents memory- but per usual she was thinking ahead
I agree. I feel like it adds weight to her decision when you see it was necessary to do.
A lot of movie only people don't get that scene at all. What may have helped is a sort of memory or reference back to the memory erasing and fading into Yaxley standing in the empty house.
The lines "I don't need luck, I'll be with Dumbledore" and "I am not worried, Harry. I am with you" are easily my favourites in the series. I'm extremely far from being emotional but those always hit me hard
Every single time I re-read HBP these lines always give me chills and make me smile. Truly some great words
I hate that they took those out of the movie for this reason!!! Imagine sacrificing that and In Noctem for setting the Burrow on fire...
Wasn’t that in the movie though?
Chills every time
Same
They honestly should've kept the scene in the book where Dudley said "I don't think you're a waste of space." was just a nice subtle nod to the fact that Dudley had changed his POV towards Harry. Not everyone needs to be redeemed, sure, that's what Draco's character is for (I HATE the deleted scene of him like THROWING the wand at...at who exactly? ugh) but this was a nice way to show people that bullies are people too. And sometimes they can come around. You don't HAVE to forgive them, but sometimes just acknowledging that change is enough. And sometimes showing sympathy, as Harry did towards Snape in his dying moments, is also enough.
I thought they should’ve kept it as well
Draco throwing his Wand to Harry was actually a good scene. I don't know why they deleted it.
@@ruturajshiralkar5566 Draco Sadboy throwing his wand to Harry.
The wand that Harry already yanked out of his hands weeks earlier.
I wonder why the scene was cut.
Edit: I know it's Narcisa's wand. And I don't care. Harry is already using Draco's real wand, that already accepted him as his master.
This shows that Draco was supporting Harry without outright saying it outloud, because Malfoys always keep their ass safe first.
It's consistent with his character.
My guess the reason why they didn't keep it was they didn't really show much of the dirty sleeves and the 1st 3 movies yeah but the last ones not so much
@@MidoriNatsume i think it makes sense that Harry would’ve lost the wand he was using (Draco’s i think) when Voldemort “killed” him in the woods, so then Draco tossed him the one he was using.
I actually think the rooster scene is fairly important. It's stated that a rooster's crow can kill a basilisk, and Riddle's diary ordered Ginny to kill the roosters in the books to prevent that from happening. I think it's an interesting extra detail.
Same
I was thinking the same thing. "it doesn't really add anything to the movie." That was foreshadowing, something every good movie/story has. It also wasn't "lore from the books," the sound of the crow of a rooster can kill it actually comes from mythology.
EDIT: I wrote does when I meant doesn't
That scene where Lucius hits Draco's hand actually made tom cry. But he said it was ok because it made the scene good. And then it got cut 🤣
hermione and ron skipping stones would've also shown more of hermione and ron's relationship. It even sort of parallels the scene where hermione is teaching ron how to play piano showing there different skills, and how they can learn from each other, which was sort of what there relation was like in the books.
Yes!
I hated the fact that the relationships weren't focused on a little bit more. Breaks my heart!
Ive seen that part before while watching the movies on Freeform
Hagrid was skipping stones too when they tried to comfort him in POA, also a nice link.
Personally that was always a cringe scene for me and really hard to watch. There’s no romantic chemistry between Rupert and Emma and it was really obvious in that scene. I think they were just too good at being friends with each other that far into the series. I’m glad they cut it. They both seem uncomfortable as lovers.
I think they should’ve added more memory scenes with young Petunia and Lily nearing the end of the movies, like how Petunia wrote letters to Dumbledore asking if she could go to Hogwarts with Lily, and how she called Lily a freak at Kings Cross right before Lily left for her first year. It would’ve shown that Petunia never really hated her sister, she was just overcome with envy. The deleted scene where Petunia redeems herself is one of the most heart-warming scenes to me even though it was deleted, because it showed that as much as she resented Harry because of both his and Lilys gifts, she still has something to empathise with Harry, due to the loss of Lily
The problems is that that didnt happened, in the book the only one that show a little remorse is Dudley, I dont think you are a wasted of space, that is the delate scene that should have in the movie, in the book, he watched Harry was a about to said something and in the end, she couldnt, the same a Drako, he didnt help Harry, he wasnt a death eater but that dosent mean he was good
One of those is literally in the movie
@@UhmHi-tw2lh keyword "MORE" not "I wish they would've added A memory scene"
And also adding Snape calling Lily a mudblood and making the end of their friendship
A little late to respond to this, but I have two scenes in mind for Petunia’s character in order to dive into what kind of person she is.
The 1st one can happen during either Harry’s 2nd - 5th year of Hogwarts during the summer. Vernon and Petunia is either making a mockery of Harry and his wizard life trying to get him to try and wake up in how the real world works, as a way to lower his optimistic view of life, or probably making more insults about his parents and still calling Harry’s mother “a freak”. Harry tries to talk back towards Petunia and this dialogue happens -
Harry: You know, I think you’re jealous.
Petunia: Sure, I'm jealous of a bunch of dimwit folks like you.
Harry: Yeah. Because they never accepted you into my school. Because you're a Muggle! You’re ordinary and stock…
Petunia: [makes something break in the kitchen] SO…. it's back to that stupid subject again. You think I don't know what's goin' on where you're from!? I know what goes on in that freak-show world. It's a big conspiracy, and every one of you is in on it! Just 'cause you can wave a stupid stick around, you think you're better than I am?! I'M NOT AN INVALID; I KNOW I’M JUST ORDINARY!! I LIKE BEING ORDINARY!! I CAN’T HELP IT IF THEY SAID YOUR MOTHER WASN’T!! THAT'S WHAT THEY TOLD ME!!!
Harry: (realizing he messed) I… I… I didn’t mean….
Petunia: [roaring] GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!!!
The 2nd one can happen during the sixth year of summer for Harry, where Petunia is alone in her room checking herself out in the mirror, only to be greeted by a figment of Lily’s reflection -
Lily: You always looked better with your hair tied.
Petunia: What are you doing here, freak?!
Lily: I didn't want to miss whatever event my sister goes to.
Petunia: Don't pretend to play all sweet. I know what you are and you already made your point with me when you left our family.
Lily: I think you're confused. I tried Petunia, I wanted them to let you join me t school. Despite what they said, I would’ve vouched for you my whole life.
Petunia: [spins around] Well, you were wrong! Why would you?! I know this is where I belong! Not in a place for people like you would make me fear you.
Lily: No. I loved you, Petunia. I do.
[Petunia’s back is to the mirror, but her body is shown trembling. After a pause, she spins around and slams the mirror/throws something at it with a scream of rage, shattering it. Alone, she falls on the countertop and sobs.]
I really liked the deleted scene between Snape and Harry from the first movie, as he sounds exactly the way James did when he went to school together with Snape. It just immediately gives Snape the impression that Harry is, and will act exactly as his father, giving him another reason to why he hates him so much.
Recently rewatched the series on Peacock and a bunch of these deleted scenes got added! Like Harry and Ginny holding hands, Umbridge's speech in the woods, Harry and Luna's convo over Dobbys grave, Harry and Dumbledore in the cave, Tonks and Lupin in DH part 2 just to name a few!!!
That’s what I was saying and I was like these aren’t deleted haha
I genuinely have never seen the theatrical versions of these, only the peacock ones.
I noticed that too! I really like it that they added those back
Noticed the same thing too!
Man Imelda Staunton really did an amazing job as Umbridge. She made you hate her in the best way truly an iconic performance. I’m surprised I haven’t seen her in more stuff.
What do you mean she's in lots of movies, like that famous one about Romeo and Juliet
She plays queen Elizabeth in the Crown on Netflix and she is amazing
That’s how I feel about Helena Bonham Carter. I loatheeed her as Bealtrix. Then I saw her in a Kings Speech and realized what a phenomenal actress she truly is.
@@daisycakes4she’s so good in the crown too made me forget she was bellatrix
I'm just glad I read the book first.
Kinda surprised there was not a single deleted scene involving Voldemort himself. I'm gonna take that as a sign Ralph Fiennes's performance was just THAT good.
No there is one. He is skipping stones waiting for harry in hp7.2. But that scene is nowhere to be found!! If someone finds it pls let me know
@@pfaloa probably on the blooper reel
I think there is one where Voldemort goes to a Muggle arcade and plays Space Invaders. Truly a wonderful deleted scene. Shame they cut it 😉
In the deleted scene in the first movie where Snape and Harry are talking about different things about potion making, it is there that Snape tells Harry about Bezoar, or the stone from a goats stomach. This stone is also used in the 6th movie Half Blood Prince to save Ron from the poison in the brandy Professor Slughorn gives to "ease the nerves". Now Harry possibly read about it in Snape's potions book, but this scene gives us a small detail that Harry was listening to Snape even when he was putting him down. Just a small little thing to pick up on.
i like how a a school teacher gives a under age student some brandy. would be considered grooming in the muggle world. lol
Actually in the books there’s a conversation between Harry and Hermione right after Ron’s accident. She is trying to convince Harry to sip the princes book and he says without it Ron would be dead - referring to having read about the bezoar there. And hermione replies or you could have just listened to Snape on first year.
also the context is funny - snce the HBP only scribbled in "just shove a bezoar down ther throat" instead of helping with a real antidote - which earns Harry even more praise from Slugorn XD Ironic, really...@@belensoria1664
Morgan, once again, you knocked it out of the park. Always informative. Keep them coming!
The burrow attack in Half Blood Prince feels like it should have been a deleted scene. And replaced with the Hepzibah Smith memory which would have told us about Hufflepuff's Cup and an item from Ravenclaw being two of the remaining horcruxes before Deathly Hallows Part 2.
PREACH!!!!!! 100%
I hate that scene with Bellatrix and Fenrir since it's not in the books because they had protective enchantments all over the Burrow while Harry was there.
God I hate that scene. We lost out on more voldemort memories for THAT?! It's so stupid, so out of place, and adds absolutely nothing. If they know Harry is there, why do they leave? They just wanted to burn the burrow? But then it's back the very next movie like nothing happened - because nothing did happen in the books. So it coming right back in a few months time makes Molly's horrified expression make no sense.
@@higglybiggly1174 Harry being sassy to the new minister at the burrow is so much better. They should have kept that
It annoys me that Ron in the next scene doesn't acknowledge at all that his family and home were attacked.
I don't think making Goblet of Fire over 3 hours would have been bad. Making 2 movies out of it would have been hard with finding a good stopping point but 3 hours would have helped pace the film better in places like the Quidditch World Cup, the time between the second and third task, the third task itself, and the aftermath of Harry returning from the graveyard (Parting of Ways chapter).
I definately agree that GoF would have benefitted from including the Quidditch World Cup and the Parting of Ways scene. But you don't have to make it three hours to do that. You could have just cut some of the unnecessary and stupid additions, most of all the looong scene with the dragon chasing Harry all over Hogwarts, destroying the school, nearly killing Harry and finally crashing and dying herself, but also minor ones like that pointless biting candy scene and the recurring nightmare (if the dream was real, looking into Voldemort's mind, the same scene wouldn't be recurring)
I think the stopping point would have to be some time between the Yule Ball and the second task. Maybe just after the Yule Ball, with the scene between Karkaroff and Snape outside, where Karkaroff reaches for Snape's arm only for Snape to pull it back, foreshadowing that Snape might have a dark mark which would label him as a Death Eater. And since there was another scene later with the two of them outside Snape's classroom with Karkaroff showing his dark mark to Snape, I think It would be appropriate to have the first half end with the scene outdoors and the second half begin with the scene outside the Potions classroom, showing the transition from Karkaroff wanting to see Snape's dark mark to him showing Snape his own dark mark. There would be some issues with continuity, however, so I don't think it would be able to work that way.
I agree. Then, we could have gotten something closer to the complex plot fo the book. We also really needed that amazing scene with Barty Crouch Sr. where he is talking to a tree and then on his knees, horrified and saying he needs to see Dumbledore and Voldemort is stronger
@@ceciliacarlid6113 Or remove the Yule Ball and focus more on the Barty Crouch family storyline.
@@connorwiederich I agree that there is much that could have been improved with the Crouch mystery. I don't think skipping the yule ball would be the answer, though. It is a key moment in the Romione story ark, where Ron starts to see Hermione in a different light
Looks like you may have gotten your wish, all of our wishes actually - Peacock is now streaming extended versions of all eight Harry Potter films with most of the requested deleted scenes intact. Definitely worth a look at how they add to the quality of all these wonderful films. Not all are present but many of the ones mentioned in this video are, including your number one choice with the exchange between Harry and Aunt Petunia in Deathly Hallows - Part One. It’s a delight to watch…finally. Now if WB can make these available intact for purchase 🤞🏼
I don’t think they are anymore
This was absolutely fantastic bro!
I agree with the Petunia scene being number one but I like the Dudley redemption scene better because of one small detail and it is when Dudley silently challenges his father. Right after Dudley asks his dad why Harry isn't coming with him, Vernon replies that Harry "does not want to" and Harry says, " I'll just be a waste of space isn't that right Vernon?" and you see Dudley look at his father, slowly close the door, and then slowly, deliberately go around the car, step over the chain around the yard all the while, not looking at Harry but looking at his father, challenging him to say anything, as he defies his father. Dudley is still arrogant, strutting a bit, chewing his gum, but you realize that he has changed and is becoming a good man. To me, it makes the next part where he holds out his hand to Harry and tells him that he doesn't believe Harry is a waste of space all the more powerful and I wish that small part of the scene is talked about more.
Especially given with the fact that after the events of the books, it's canon that Dudley and Harry kept in touch, and visited each other with their kids. it would've really shown how Dudley changed and grew to finally accept his cousin as family.
The petunia scene doesn't make sense!! It makes her character even worse! So you lost your sister and your way of grieving is by abusing her son instead of taking extra care of him??
@@Wandasolosurfavs And she dint say anything he wanted to say something and stop, because she couldnt say anything to make things better, a Forgive me would have better, but in the end that dint happened
@@Wandasolosurfavsi agree, dudley is much more redeemable than petunia because he was raised by them to behave that way and has only recently reached an age where he would start questioning and making decisions for himself, while she was a grown ass adult when her orphaned nephew was left in her care and she not only allowed but actively participated in his abuse for nearly two decades.
I totally agree!
This was awesome, well narrated and youve explained your opinions expertly. There were actually some scenes I had never seen before and though I disagreed with you on some of the rankings of certain scenes, I could still see why you wouldve placed them there. Very insightful video, thanks for sharing
I actually really like the scene from half blood prince in the common room when they talk about Draco, I think it adds some complexity to the dynamic between Malfoy and Harry
To add to the bird bothering Hagrid scene. Hagrid being the gentle giant he is, i have a hard time believing he would try to smack and or smash a tiny bird. Dude rescues dragons, hippogriffs and 3 headed dogs ....
Giant Spiders
Well, mosquitos exist, and I'm sure Hagrid is smashing those on impact.
Definitely this! He'd just be like

@@TheHomerowKeys a bird and a mosquito (a pest/insect ) are two entirely different things lol
yes! And not just big creatures, remember in the books he also mends bowtruckle's legs

Fun fact: Harry's glasses actually has no glass... hence the no reflection of the fire.
This was done to stop people from spotting the camera in certain scenes
I wish they kept Petunia's redemption, and your right that scene changes how you look at Petunia, it's like she truly starts to regret some of the ways she treated Harry
I guess Harry-looking-into-the-fire motif - other than its poetic value of looking into fire - could be Harry thinking about Sirius when he conversed with him through the fire. A source of comfort or solace to him.
True but some of these were before the conversations with Sirius. I think it just makes sense. The element of Gryffindor is fire, their common room has many fires. When you see a fire and you are in a thinking mood, you naturally gravitate towards it. It seems repetitive but I think it's realistic.
Despite the fact that he didn’t know it was Harry in the lift, that was the only time Arthur glared at him with hatred. I also like how when Ron takes a test sheet from Lockhart, he has this smile on his face only for it to turn into a frown when he passes it to Harry showing he ain’t buying his bullshit for one minute.
They actually could have gotten away with some comment letting him know who they were just as the elevator door closed without any real damage to the plan.
@@Rhewtani in the books Harry whispers to Arthur that the ministry was keeping close tabs on him and his family and that he wasn't safe, trying to give mr Weasley a heads up. But instead Mr Weasley took it as a threat and got pissed since he didn't know it was harry as Runcorn.
That was a brilliant list. Thank you for your hard work.
Awesome. Amazing how you always find new things to discuss and show us ❤
33:02 It also ties back to Hermione teaching Ron how to play the Piano at Grimmauld Place, in which Harry was also in the background separated from them. Two scenes weren't in the books but they are a lovely addition.
My favorite deleted scenes are the Gryffindor common room and the Great Hall scene where everyone is interacting with each other after coming back from Hogsmead. Those kind of interactions should have stayed in. It showed us fans that everyone was just a bunch of kids having fun.
Amazing video sir, got emotional quite a few times!
Should have added draco throwing Harry his wand in deathly Hallows 2
"I'm not worried, Harry. I'm with you" absolutely murdered me when I read the books. I personally prefer book Dumbledore, but I saw the movie first on that book, so I knew he died. That line being said by my version of Dumbledore knowing he'd die was sooo sad.
Great video! 😊 Interestingly Bonnie Wright said on Normal Not Normal with Oliver and James Phelps that they actually filmed her killing the chickens for The Chamber of Secrets. It’s probably a good thing that that was cut. 😅
I think it was shown a little bit when Tom was explaining about Ginny to Harry in COS
@@user-br4ms5vs2x ooo... then maybe I don't know what I'm talking about ^^'

this video is more brilliant than the scenes itselves. I got say man, i love the way you explain and the way you see the world!! You understand and you embrace art in a way it is inspiring. Thank you
Fantastic analysis. Thank you
I personally liked the rooster scene because it explained a pretty crucial plot point that crops up near the end of the movie. While Harry is showing Ron the page about the basilisk, it says that the crowing of the rooster can kill it, but they never bring any roosters. Showing that they are all dead, while a bit morbid, helps provide an explanation for those of us who were wondering.
tbf the series has some pretty morbid stuff in it too. The books especially so
I really like the deleted scene where Harry is outraged by the idea of wearing Dudley's old uniform. "That'll fit me like bits of old elephant skin."
I love sassy Harry.
No honestly it was so damn adorable, his sassiness just makes him even more likeable considering his circumstances
I don't think it's deleted bc I watched Harry potter on some random free movies site and it kepth the scene
@@Filipsplaying Some site have the extended versions of the films that keep in some of the deleted scenes. Chamber of Secrets, for example, has an extended version that adds in scenes like Ernie talking with the Hufflepuffs about Harry being the Heir of Slytherin. Philosopher's Stone also has one and one of those scenes is that "elephant skin" scene.
@@Pachiidesuon moviesmod I remember 1 and 2nd movie have extended cuts its completely free to download

Here Here Your best work yet. TY for all your hard work
My favourite has gotta be In Noctem. Not only was this scene the most prominent display of one of the best soundtrack songs in the series, it also nails the ominous, unsettling tone that the remainder of the movie goes for. It is also incredibly subtle when visually indicating the danger that is coming towards the characters. Brilliant scene.
The scene with Trelawny was actually an accident in a sense. Emma Thompson was making a mess and frantically trying to fix it during the camera panning, and they kept the shot because it was funny.
Awesome video. Thank you very much!
Brilliant video! I think the two scenes - Dudley and Petunia departing in DHII would have provided great character transformation, and a bit of redemption for Dudley...The scene where they discuss the horcruxes would have been very helpful fleshing out the plot, particularly for those who may not have read the book. Thanks for this video!
The funny thing about the deleted scenes is that they were included in the movie when the movies aired on ABC Family , USA and SCFY like they were never even deleted in the first place
Therefore they weren't deleted. More like exclusive scenes from the extended versions, like the Blu-ray version
That happened in Mexico when they were aired in Cartoon Network, and i just knew about it right now.
Yea I watched them all on peacock for the first time and was so confused by this list so I looked at the comments

I have to laugh, because since the only versions of the movies I've watched are the extended versions, I didn't even realize many of these were deleted scenes!
Same!! I was just wondering this. I remember the egg scene and the "bits of elephant skin" part so clearly, but when I paid for the movies through a streaming service it never came! I was beginning to think I had dreamt those scenes😂
Oh wow, there are extended versions of the movies?! Never knew that, I only ever knew about the Lord of the Rings Extended versions. Cool.
Great video and cool topic, Morgan!
Wow, I hadn't seen the Mirror of Erised scene before but that's genuinely beautiful. It's also by far some of the best acting from the boys in the first movie, when they were still coming into their own and sometimes their acting wasn't so great.
Appreciate all your hard work MovieFlame!
Found this interesting, thank you for posting
5:31 I love that you include abstracts from the making of to support your point aha, well done
I personally think that the Dudley scene is the best delated scene; the movies did him so dirty. Also, I think they should have added him leaving the teacup, too! But that Petunia scene is close second, too! 😉 I also really loved Hermione's/Emma's cute smile after Ron said "What are friends for?"
I haven't read the books in years, but wasn't the Dudley arc with Harry basically him being a bully to Harry (1-4), to him being afraid of Harry (5), to him flat-out avoiding/not acknowledging Harry (6), to him respecting/accepting Harry (7)?
I never realized these were deleted scenes. I didn’t see most of the movies when they were in theaters, and had only seen them on TV. Almost all these scenes were all included in the versions I saw
I honestly reaaaaally don't mind 3 hour long movies. There's a story to be told. Keep me entertained/interested and you can make the movie 5 hours long for all I care.
It kills me that so many people speak of 'binging' on episodes of TV series, but others talk like sitting in front of an entertainment for 4 or 5 hours would be such a chore!
I LOVED the video! 🤩
I have watched your channel for years. I want to say that the video quality is amazing. Thanks!
I always enjoy your videos on Harry Potter. How you even able to come up with this content is remarkable and refreshing! I'm happy to feel that nostalgic feeling again. Keep it up 😄
A lot of these scenes are included in the movies on Peacock, I noticed a lot of these don’t feel deleted to me because they’re already integrated into the streaming platform versions of them.
Very nice job!
U are awesome, man!
3:16 This scene may have been shot better, but hearing Harry talk so seriously while Hermione & Ron just stand there eating really makes me snicker! 😆
Maybe Harry just likes to stare into the fire. Lots of people stare into the fireplace if it's going. Maybe the flames have a symbolic meaning symbol of light or searching for answers.
If you have a lot on your mind staring at or into something help makes things clearer. I stare at fire from time to time just watching the flames and seeing the coals change.
Man, you are a legend. When I want to learn more stuff about the franchise I just go to your channel. You truly are a historian.
Glad saw this video. Ive seen most of these scenes now since Peacock has the longer versions of the movies. 😁
Love this video man, the effort you put in is great. Please keep it up 😃
I almost NEVER comment. Your breakdowns and opinions are SO well thought out, and well done. I love this, I love your channel, and I am sxo glad to have found you.
Great list!
You did a nice job. I'm very impressed.
It's weird cause when the movies are shown on TV in America, they usually include a lot of the deleted scenes. Since that's how i mainly watch the movies nowadays, I've come to just think of a lot of these scenes as part of the actual released movie.
Bro i thought i was crazy thank you
I think a cool idea for a series is to go through each harry potter movie amd cut/remove scenes you think weren't important, and add important scenes from the books that were missing, keeping the overall duration of the movie the same. Essentially making a "perfect" adaptation with no missing info, but still limited by the constraints that the directors had in terms of screen time
Yes! Do it movie flame!
Fantastic idea! Often fans are naive about time constraints and other cinematic considerations and just want the movies to include most details from the books. However making a video essay within this framework you have to be really creative about what scenes to cut and include and how everything connects. Putting yourself into the role as a screenwriter, director and editor rather than as a book fan sounds like a fun video essay to watch, which surely will lead to an interesting discussion from a more cinematic point of view.
I’ve always considered Petunia and Dudley’s redemptions to be the same scene since they happen right next to each other in what was the same chapter in the book. But I completely agree that they should have been in the final product. Petunia’s redemption might be the best scene that wasn’t in the book, and Dudley’s redemption was the best scene from the book that was filmed but not in the movie.
No matter what opinion we could have about any of this, fact is this was a lot of work. Great work!
You are the reason why I started reading the books in my late twenties. I could never fully understand the movies as I struggled with English (third language in US). It was the back story of Voldemort that was the final straw and had to immediately go to the library to start reading and I couldn't wait to read the sixth book. Very much agreed, would have loved more backstory in the movies.
I was waiting the whole time for In Noctem. The music is so hauntingly beautiful, and I love the way that you pointed out the details about it. I only ever saw it as Snape coming to terms with what would have to be done, but the subtle details in the lighting is incredible.
bruh... this channel too good for CZcams standards. Keep doing what you love, we are lucky to have you.
Makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

Honestly, I despise this deleted scene. First of all, the acting isn't very good. But worse, in the books this was a beautiful moment with Neville, when he arrives with his legs jinxed and Hermione helps him, they try to cheer him up, Harry says he's worth 12 Malfoys and he gives him a Chocolate Frog... In the movie, they just ignore Neville and they leave him there with everyone laughing at him. I don't know why so many people like it.
I have not read the books, so maybe I'm bias here (I'd like to sit down and read them one day). But I don't like the scene either. I recall there being tension between Ron and Hermione from the first film, but that tension feels weirdly entangled with this exchange between Neville and Seamus. Is there any context/backstory behind their exchange in the books? Maybe it's the acting, or his age and voice being different but Seamus expressing annoyance gives me "child temper tantrum" vibes and it feels out of place in a Harry Potter movie.
Problem with the horcrux breakdown scene in Deathly Hallows Part 1 was Dumbledore never told Harry the ring belonged to Voldemort's grandfather nor that the locket belonged to Voldemort's mother, only that the ring belonged Voldemort's mother.
Good Video 👌🏻👍🏻
Half of these scenes were in the version I watched. What?????
Ya me too. Idk I think he prob just wanted views.
There are extended versions of the movies too
@@ShinyshinxPLAYZsame for me. It’s extended version
There's actually one more that has been lost to time, but here's the script:
Harry: WHY DID YOU KILL SIRIUS!?
Bellatrix: It's because I have over 50 MILLION POWER-
(ALSO ALL OF THESE SCENES WERE IN THE VERSION I WATCHED so it's just so strange to see them as deleted scenes😅)
😂
In rise of kingdoms
Great list. Funnily enough, some of the scenes that stand out to me quite often in the Harry Potter films are the ones that were deleted, particularly the ones you have on the top ten, like Hermione becoming friends with Harry and Ron, Dudley being kind to Harry, and Harry meeting Snape.
It's really cool seeing these deleted scenes and how it could change the movie in some way, shape, or form. For me, the deleted scene I wanted to see, and this isn't necessarily a deleted scene, but it is shown in a behind the scenes footage, and it's of Draco giving Harry his wand to fight Voldemort. While minor, it would have given Draco his redemption moment and it would have been great to see the series end with Harry and Draco helping each other. Just my view on it personally.
Love the video and keep up the great work!
That wand-throwing scene makes no sense tho 🤷🏼♀️ for Draco's redemption I would have preferred if he was destroying the diadem in the room of requirement not Goyle with his accident fiendfyre (as for the book goes) 🙅🏻♀️
@@timimaksai8081 but how would he know the diadem was to be destroyed? horcruxes nature is a secret shared by only a few
Love from Turkey, great video and ranking. ♥
24:52 in this scene the actor for Lucius hit Tom too hard but Tom didn’t say anything until they finished filming the scene
2023 update: Movieflame is still my favorite channel on CZcams ⚡️
I love your Harry Potter movies thank you for all you do
The snape Yule ball became my favorite. It’s really hilarious due to Alan’s mannerisms when he takes points away from hufflepuff and ravenclaw 😂
thank you so much
It's funny, I could swear that a lot of these were still in the movie. Until I realized that I remember seeing the TV versions that added some back in for the reasons.
Edit: the scene between Dudley and Harry from Deathly Hallows 1 always hits me hard. Like, it was probably one of the best things in that section because it showed that Dudley actually cared about Harry. Not enough to be best friends or anything but, enough to remind us that they are family. It's up there with Petunia's "I lost a sister that day" scene.
Right, I was watching this saying "ive seen a lot of these scenes but its on the tv versions lol
If I'm not wrong there WERE extended editions released on DVD for the first two films. Haven't seen them but I know they exist
As someone who’s only seen the movies (though I will soon read the books), I can see why they cut the Petunia scene.
I understand what they were going for with this moment of redemption, and showing how Voldemort has deeply affected the lives of all of these people and it gives Petunia some humanity.
However, all we get in the films are negative ties between Petunia and Lily. Petunia calls Lily a freak, and was obviously jealous, on top of which she abuses and neglects her sister’s son, and while I haven’t analyzed the films to a fault, they show no pictures of Lily in Petunia’s home, nor do they give even the smallest hint that Petunia cared one iota about Lily’s existence. Then all of a sudden we have Petunia saying “I lost a sister” with zero backstory or evidence why she should care, so it feels out of place with the knowledge the movies have given us about Petunia and Lily’s relationship.
In my opinion it was a crucial scene, because she cared for Harry for 17 years, although Vernon wanted to give Harry away to an orphanage right away. She still was a terrible person, but she loved her sister enough to take Harry. Also, since you don't know, in the books she actually cared a lot about Lily. Her character arch is very exciting and has the most similarities with Snape's. You'll find out what I mean exactly in the 7th book. I hope you'll read them. I love all of the books.
@@anna-5104 She and her husband abused Harry since he was a baby. Harry could had a better childhood even in an orphanage. I do think deep down there is part of her that still loves Lily, but she buried it too deep and just could not face it because of her jealousy. To me the scene is touching at the first glance, but when I think deeper, I don't think a woman who mistreated her sister's child for 17 years would admit her love to her sister at the end. It just feels meaningless. It's just too late. She and Snape are quite different to me. Harry looks a lot more like his father than his mother, which can explain why Snape did not like Harry. Snape knew how much he hates James and how much he loves Lily very clearly the whole time.

@@anna-5104 "cared for harry" LMFAOOOOOOOOOOO
@@wholethedogsout880 "cared for" meaning giving him a place to stay, giving him food and stuff, not actually caring deeply lol. She was still horrible.
This list makes me glad that they released extended editions of the films. Some of these scenes really do add a lot more depth to the films.
All of these came on the old dvds, thanks for the nostalgia trip!
I agree whole heartedly with you. Maybe with WB Studios taking another stab at the movies or maybe even a series will do the franchise some good. I love watching all the deleted scenes while watching the movies. As you stated the books are so rich and full of details it must have been extremely hard for the screen writers and editors to scrap these moments. Keep up the fantastic work.
You have your wish 😊
I just can’t ever forgive Petuna for being so mean to the child of her sister. She loved Lilly, and even though Harry reminded her of what happened, she also knew that Harry lost his parents to murder.
Yea no amount of redemption can scrub away years and years of constant abuse
I’m in the middle of reading chamber of secrets and PATUNIA AND VERNON SHOULD BE IN JAIL 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Yeah they're not very nice. Is it your first time reading the books? If so, make the most of it cause the books are all awesome, man I wish I could go back and read them for the first time again
@@williamboivin1985 I've started to read the books in the past, the farthest I got was Goblet of Fire, but then I'd want to read other books and stopped reading. Now, I'm determined to get through all of them.
@@ashleypanzica1316 Well good luck and happy reading!
great job
I'm so glad the extended editions exist. Especially for Chamber of Secrets. It is my literal favorite movie of all time, and I love seeing the cut scenes added in.
