  • Bosch has two lightweight, battery-powered grass trimmers : the 23-18 and the 26-18 li. In this video I compare the two and demonstrate how to use the Bosch 23 18 li cordless grass trimmer. I also show how to change out the cutting blades. What are the overall pros and cons? Would I purchase it again? Who is this grass trimmer designed for?
    Where to Buy it
    *This is not a sponsored video, but here is the link I use to purchase the replacement blades on Amazon
    amzn.to/3DcI4eT
    **Edit: At the end of the video I said that I go through 2 blades per session. I go through 1 blade every half an hour, but I have 2 batteries. (2 batteries = 1 hour session = 2 blades for me)

    Thanks for the honest review and demo. We are huge fans of lighter, battery powered tools, for any jobs when can use them for.
    Take care,
    Rob

    I prefer the system Bosch uses for hooking up their blades as opposed to the ones for the Ozito electric whipper snippers. The ones of Ozito units pop off way too often as a result. That being said, I prefer line over blades as a general rule.

      Thanks for sharing. That’s good to know. I’ve seen some of the new Bosch models that have easy to change line and might try one of them when this one eventually needs to be replaced.

    Great review,. One question, how is it with with - I think is called edging - where you trim vertically the edges of the grass to get a nice crisp shape?

    • @NowGardening
      @NowGardening  Před rokem +1

      I think it does a decent job. You have to turn it a certain way to edge, but I do run it along the edges of my sidewalk and it works well enough while clearly not being a professional edger.

    I'm looking for this weed trimmer in the U.S. Any company selling it over here? It looks weak compared to my gas trimmers, but I am tired of the carburetors going bad at the end of every winter.

      Hi I’ve looked online for you and can’t find any of their garden line available in the US unfortunately. I know my stepmom in the US has an electric trimmer she loves, so I hope you’re able to find what you need. Definitely no where near as powerful as a gas powered one, but many fewer headaches

    does it have a metal blade?

    • @NowGardening
      @NowGardening  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Carlo, thanks for your question. The blades are unfortunately plastic. There is a point in the video where I talk about the blades, how to change them, and how long they last. For me, I get about 1/2 hour on a single blade before it wears down.

      Bonjour, je suis en France mais souvent on a les memes marques disponible. J'ai acheté le mien au magasin Truffaut mais il était également disponible sur Amazon.fr et Leroy Merlin. J'éspere que vous arriver à le trouver. C'est vraiment genial pour les petits jobs.
