    OMG Ive died and gone to heaven. This wil work great with my M32C and DL16. Now I dont have to deal with a stage split for multi band shows for bands that roll in with IEM setups. I can keep live monitors on stage and have the stage connect send mic outputs for IEM racks.
    I was going to build a split before shows this summer. Instead im getting this great piece of gear!

    Putting this on an in-ear rack for 8 stereo packs is exactly what I have in mind for it - so much better than previous options in the x/m32 ecosystem!

    This is great and super.. because we need multiple output for livestreaming and they want to have every room in the mosque output of that livestream in order to provide camera's sound. using AES50 would be hard to do because that would eatup my outputs that i need for the building and furture stuff. What i was looking for was to duplicate the output from the mixbus to multiple output and Ultranet had 16 out that i can use to assign my single mixbus great!.. not having to splitbox or extra AES50 box.

      No, the audio quality is not the same as AES50. Ultranet has a form of data compression. It’s similar to an mp3. Great video but we do not use it for professional outputs.

    Can you explain what a press box is?

    • @micahmuth4256
      @micahmuth4256 Před rokem +1

      It's a fancy way to mult a signal. 1 mic split 16 times. in this case. Some events have press attending, and they want the board feed vs room mic. When I did events like that I would watch the news to see if the audio from the event was on to make sure it was captured well. No hiss means i had good gain structure. and the tv station didn't have to put bring the noise floor up to get to their operating level. 😂 There is an analog split called a press box. it looks like an analog stage snake. It takes one input and multiplies it.

    I currently have a x32 rack I use for iem system I have a Midas hub 4 and Midas dp48 personal monitor mixer with two Behringer ms8000 splitters to the foh console. I've been thinking of adding one of these 16 channel stage connect output strips to gain the additional outputs in addition to adding a behringer sd8 for using as a drop snake for drums is there a Better solution to send signal from my split to foh then using the heavy analog xlr snakes? I've been really trying to streamline my setup but I haven't came up with any other ideas any thoughts?

We are currently using 2 behringer ms8000 splits with two 25ft 8 channel elitecore XLR snakes they are just bulky and heavy and it's a pain plugging them in to both my mixer and the venue stage box or drop snakes every show. The whole benefit of a rack to me is having less things to plug in and unplug this currently is 64 channels alone to plug in and unplug twice a night

    Hate wall warts and cord warts. Gear manufacturers use these because it's cheaper than an internal supply, and they don't have to mess with getting UL/CA electrical safety certifications for their device - the maker of the cord wart has to do that. Lots of gear makers do this, even on very expensive keyboards.

    It has always been possible to route the 16 ‘P16’ Outputs to AES50 outputs, in the same way as you patch the first 16 Outputs. The X/M32 OUTPUTS are just a patch point / bay, the destination (and Tap point) can be individually configured using the USER Out tab. I worked this out when I picked up a couple of SD8s that have the 8 Ops selectable by slide switch to be fed from 1-8, 9-16, 17-24. I wondered how the 17-24 Outputs were patched.
    Interesting point that the I/p version has no preamps - can you use the mixers pre amps?

    • @sweettreeproductions2149
      @sweettreeproductions2149  Před rokem

      Sadly, you can’t use the mixers preamps for the input StageConnect box because it isn’t supported on the M32 X32 line. You did bring a good point though. It might be possible on the wing but I doubt it.
