Honestly death was a mercy to both of them. Also you probably figured it out, but that was Anakins wife he was showing him in the battle and in the dream world.
The infinite tsukuyomi didn't just put everyone in the same dream. It put everyone in their own perfect world. We actually saw some of them in the anime as filler, and i just feel bad for some of them. (Just giving a little more info about it, because they didn't really go into it much.)
A few of those were in the manga such as Kiba's as single panels. The anime added a few extra as easy filler bait
in the novels it says that, after the war, Sakura made a therapy section in the medical world due to how many people wanted to go back to their ideal dream world.
The best Naruto theory stands as the entire series after Madara started the Infinite Tsukuyomi being a dream from Naruto's perspective, including all of Boruto. The ending of Boruto will have the reveal of Naruto waking up, and then Team 7 defeats Madara and the series ends as it should have.

The dream at the end is canonically accurate. He cast a dream where Anakin gets to live his live with padme until they grow old and dies all in matter of seconds

Not really, obito agreed with madaras plan but wasn’t loyal to madara at all. He made it very clear to madara and even betrayed him by becoming the 10 tails before him

He even admitted he would of died to Guy's 9th gate. Also both been backstabed, but Aizen lived through it while Madara got hijacked by dem aliens.

@3:00, Vader does actually make a brief appearance in the Clone Wars during the Mortis arc but its a mix of future visions and Anakin going dark so it doesn't quite count. He was in Rebels and was handled relatively well in that.
There's no way Vader would fall for the IT illusion. This is the same Vader who was attacked with visions by a kyber crystal where he kills the Emperor, and begs Obi-Wan for forgiveness and they reconcile, in order to test his commitment to the dark side, and Vader saw through the vision and bled the crystal.
Also the TSO doesn't destroy souls, it negates ninjutsu.
They got this wrong again in Madara vs Aizen.
You would have to prove Vader could resist planetary illusions and he would have no reason to break out since IT just shows you paradise.
And tso does destroy souls, the kage who were hit by it after never regained their limbs even after the reanimation ended and they were just souls

So did the kyber crystal. It showed him killing Palpatine and begging Obi-Wan for forgiveness, and they reconcile. And Vader saw through it due to how strong the dark side was.
Anytime Vader saw visions of Padme, all it did was increase his anger and self-loathing, causing him to destroy everyting in his path.
TSO main ability is not destroying souls. It's ninjutsu nullification. The reason the kage were hit by it and couldn't regain their limbs is because they are ET. And ET is a ninjutsu. TSO is useless outside the Narutoverse.

You are wrong about tso, tso Carries the ability of particle style AND the ability to nullify ninjutsu when combined with the yin style a simple google search will show you this. Wtf is ET? The Kages had been released from reanimation and even after while watching as souls did not gain their limbs back.
@@sarveshnathan7559 I'm not arguing with all this but if you're going to claim tso are useless outside Naruto then you'll have to claim the same about the force outside star wars. By your logic vader shouldn't have been able to use it at all. Chakra atleast is generated by the person internally rather than a largely external universal force being manipulated like the force is.
A certain level of universal adaptation has to be accepted when it comes to these powers working outside their verses for these battles.

How they get their face on the mountain is to become Hokage. Once that happens they carve the persons face into the mountain.
Obito wasn't really crying blood. In Naruto if an Uchiha or someone with special eyes overuseses their eyes then blood will start to come out because it hurts, and their pushing past their limit.
Also if you dont have the eternal mangekyou sharingan (or just an insane healing factor,) you could also go completely blind by overusing the mangekyou sharingan. And how you get the eternal version is basically swapping out eyes with somone very close to you. Obito didnt have to worry about it though because he got a healing factor by putting somone elses cells into him, which basically became a cheat code.
They definitely wanked Obito for this fight. He can't just use the 10 Tails or Illusion Tree whenever he wants, they both need prep time, something you're not allowed to have in DeathBattle.
Then there's the fact that Vader has survived basically everything that Obito had as a trump card. From soul manipulation (strong enough force users are basically immune to soul manipulation), Illusions (Vader had a similar Illusion cast on him when he was bleeding his Light Sabers crystal where it showed him how his life could have been if he never joined Palpatine, which he immediately broke out of because he knew he didn't deserve to happy after what he had done), Kamui just wouldn't work on Vader the way they it would (the light side of the force draws its power from living things around the user, hence why they need to repress their emotions to use it, the dark side is the opposite and draws power directly from the user, so vader would legitimately still have everything he needed to survive), and the Kamui's phasing like power wouldn't work because even though its displacing Obitos matter its still able to be interacted with (the forces telekinesis affects the very atoms that the user wants to manipulate, and since Obito's atoms still exist, they are fair game). Throw precognition on top of all of that and it makes the fact that they said it was a close call IN Obito's favour absolutely mind blowing for anyone who looked into the matchup for themselves.
@@roobyrne3075 I have seen the argument that since he had these powers at his peak then he should be able to use them. My problem with that is if they do that, then Vader should get either the Death Star, or his full power as Anikin which would just be the top feats of both the Jedi and Sith factions wrapped up into one character, both are things that either could not happen or would need prep time and outside assistance, but since Obito gets that treatment it would only be fair for Vader to get the same.

Please state one time in canon where someone has resisted having their soul ripped out, there has never been a similar illusion like IT in canon Star Wars that instantly put a whole planet under it even people that resist illusions that can physically damage you and manipulate time, if obito uses kamui he is literally in another dimension, so if darth Vader grabbed him he can just pop into his other dimension, his atoms aren’t there at that point. Show one point in canon where someone indefinitely survived on only the force with a physical body. Vader has 0 way to defend from truth seeking orbs, it destroys on the molecular level meaning it would rip through a lightsaber and through Vader as he thinks he would be defending it
@@soulcyclone360thing is that Vader never got the death star (nor would he like to use it because he prefers the force and the star goes againts it) he just was there underpromoted (and even if he was, how would he use it? If he used it while being there having Obito in earth there is no point in fighting since it qould be him destroying earth and that's it. And if the fight started in earth it would be the same since Vader would have to go back to the death star and it could go wrong in so many ways, and there would be no point either if the fight took place in the death star). That being said agree with the rest, not only would be the coherent thing to do it Obito is given the free but death battle has already done many things as that
@@Dario-uj6qo that's fair, looking back over my argument about the Deathstar I understand that it is not an equivalent comparison, since even while Obito needed help from others and external factors, Darth Vader would need to interact and coordinate with a group of thounds of people just to use it once. Not really a fair situation for a 1v1 DeathBattle.

I've seen some people have the same problem with this fight that they had with Madara vs Aizen: they can't just summon and use the ten tails on a whim. It requires prep and is not a standard part of their arsenal. With the ten tails? Yes, Obito absolutely beats Vader, even if they didn't low ball Vader. The Infinite thing would absolutely trap Vader and he would want to stay in there even if he could break out.
As for the Vader low ball, in Clone Wars, Anakin held back two physical embodiments of the Living Force, meaning his force abilities could scale as high as star level at minimum and universal at maximum, in comparison to base Obito, who, if we're being generous, is at best moon level. Without the ten tails, Obito's sharingan and rinnegan abilities would only delay Vader beating him, considering the gap in power and durability.
Question - what about the Truthseeking Orbs? Was there anything that could block or negate them besides dodging?
@@datkhornedog899 To my knowledge, Obito and Madara only get those in their ten tails form.
I mean, at the time of the War, the Juubi was a part of Obito's arsenal. He could have summoned it much earlier, he just wanted to complete it. But eventually, he was just like "fuck it" and summoned it anyway. He has 1-7 Bijuu, and pieces of the 8 and 9 Tails for a while. Honestly, the Juubi is more standard for Obito than it is for Madara.

With Obi-Wan viewing Anakin as a brother; Obi-Wan says it directly to Anakin at the end of episode 3 (the prequals).

She’s matched Trigon, both are on absolutely batshit levels of power. But kinda like Scarlett Witch vs Zatanna, the marvel characters big weakness is their poor emotional state. Which is extra good for Raven since emotional manipulation powers is kinda her thing.

Vader should've been given his Dark Dimension form of if Obito was allowed to have his Ten Tails form
Apparently this one was considered wrong because, unlike every other Star Wars episode on death battle, they did not really use legends vader, or at the very least, they didn't properly scale Darth Vader to his most impressive legend's feats and mostly used canon Vader, only using legends feats that puts him on an equal scaling to Obito. It's kind of the same situation with megatron but to a less insulting degree.

Yeah, plus in the comics he has shown using the force to rip and destroy in other dimensions. Also if 10 tails is gonna be used, then God Vader should have as well
First of all, it's a 20 minute video. The time table is accelerated, we don't need to spend 5 episodes just waiting.
Second of all, if Obito needs to stall for time for any reason, he can do it endlessly. He can literally disappear from the universe until he's ready.
Third, Obito doesn't need ten tails to defeat Vader, literally all he has to do is touch him once and Vader is teleported to a dimension without the Force and will starve to death and there's nothing he can do about it.
Fourth, this is a Death Battle, they're given their entire tool kit. So you can assume the ten tails in this context was resurrected already, and under those circumstances Obito can in fact use a summoning to bring it out and then seal it.
They actually gave Vader extra advantages as there's no reason to believe he could crush Obito's eye with the force. It may be a magical power, but it's still A FORCE, and thus should activate his Kamui defense. His eye literally should not be there to crush to begin with. It's also very clearly established many times in the series that Obito's Kamui isn't something he needs to use actively. So if someone's trying to stab him in the chest, he doesn't need to recognize the attack, decide what he needs to teleport away, and then execute it perfectly. It happens automatically. If he's walking down the street and a sniper 100 miles away takes a shot at his head, the bullet will pass right through harmlessly. He needs to have this power turned on, but he keeps it on at ALL times until the INSTANT he makes contact with someone he wants to absorb.
Obito had this battle locked down, him going ten tails is just for the visual flare, not a necessity to win.

They got the 10 tails thing wrong. Yeah Óbito accessed it at one point, but he can’t access it at any time. Even if he could, he doesn’t even need it. He can heal from most injuries due to Hashirama cells(which Madara has), and he had the Rinnegan, so what’s stopping Óbito from RIPPING VADER’S SOUL OUT!
The animation is for entertainment, the facts will always include possibilities like that.
This is the exact same argument when DB did Thanos vs Darkseid when they gave Thanos the infinity gauntlet when in the comics he only used once but they gave it to him because 1. he is the most Iconic user & 2. they knew fans will complain if they didn't include the Gauntlet even tho he hasn't use it for decades.
So if they didn't include Ten Tails DB will receive hundreds of comments like "Why didn't you include the ten tails??" or "why didn't Obito transform in the animation??" so it's better to just give it to him even if it doesn't change the verdict.
@@novarevenant3908I can at least understand the criticism of giving Obito the Ten Tails because it's similar to them giving Kakashi duel Mangekyo and Susanoo even though it was gifted by Ghost Obito and only temporarily and not something he can just get. But at least Kakashi and Obito did take those forms in the canon and use them in fights to quantify them.
Better than people already dismissing Obito for that but then trying to wank Vader by giving him the "God Vader" comics feat where *in a vision* he sees a version of himself that solos the entire Jedi Council. Or try to say that him subduing the Son and the Daughter was somehow him flexing on both embodiments of the force at once (and not just two powerful Light and Dark side users and him being the Chosen One and bringing them to balance because that's his prophesied power) and acting as though he could bend *the entirety of the Force to his will and scales beyond the Force itself* . These are actual arguments I've seen, and it annoys me in the same way as Aizen vs Madara debunkers saying that the Truth Seeking Orbs should have no effect on anyone outside of Naruto because they only disrupt chakra.
@@novarevenant3908 Well also because even with the Gauntlet, Thanos was screwed. DB likes to take a character at their strongest. Obito's strongest state was the 10 tails. Madara can't just transform into it either; he needed to set it up but they just had him casually do it in his DB as well.
Literally in canon and Legends, Darth Vader has trained to face and resist the Soul Reaper. The Soul Reaper is a being who literally is known to rip out and devour souls

Yeah Obito is basically impossible to defeat 1v1. Not unless you have a very specific power set. You just, CAN'T touch him. He doesn't need to see the attack coming either, he can just enter invincible mode and anything that hits him just causes him to teleport out. So try to slash his arm off and his arm will just pass through your sword.
So realistically Vader shouldn't be able to crush his eye either. His eye would just disappear when he tried to apply any force to it.
To briefly explain Obito's ending line though and his motivations. Obito's thing is "The world sucks, everything sucks, everyone you love will die."
So he wanted to fix the world by putting everyone into a dream of their perfect world. His motivations were altruistic, however as part of that he also decided "It doesn't matter how many people I have to kill to achieve my goal, when I win everyone will be alive and happy anyway." Hence why he had no qualms starting the 4th great shinobi war.
Technically Vader shouldn't even be able to use Force telekinesis on him either, since anything Vader would try to move isn't there, though I imagine the first time might catch Obito off-guard. And Obito never even bothered (in the animation) to summon any of the giant monsters of the Animal Path - Vader could handle them, no doubt, but some like the multi-headed dog would be a pain to focus down. And all Obito needs is that bit of a distraction for a hax kill shot like Soul Steal or Kamui. Dude could literally hide in the ground and come up at Vader's feet and pull his soul out or suck him into Kamui while he's trying to fight a kaiju. But that would be a boring fight.

@@Mrrynnot true, obito has to choose what part of his body to send to the kamui dimension, if he sends his whole body he literally isn’t there. If he uses kamui on his whole body he wouldn’t be on the battlefield anymore

Even though I didn't mind the results because it was still a really good fight and emotional death for Vader which I love when DB does those kinds of endings. Seeing the stuff for Obito really makes me want to watch Naruto even more now, cause I feel I'll like him. But as for the match, I've heard differing opinions on how this was insanely close to one side stomping the other.
One CZcamsr I watched name Classiman D gave a review/thoughts short of this DB said that Obito being able to go Six Paths, summon 10 tails jinchuriki, and activate the tree instantly in the fight whenever he wants was cap and he actually needs prep time to do all that. I can't confirm if all that's true as I know next to nothing about the Naruto series. Also, mentioned in the short was how much they downplayed Anakin/Vader's max power from not just the comics, but the feat that he made the living embodiment of the Light and Dark side of the force to their knees which is like a universal scale feat
But yeah, all in all, it's Death Batlle, it's just entertainment. I was very entertained by not just the episode, but this reaction. Also, looking forward to the 3 Idiots video next!

If Obito really needed to stall for time, he could just disappear into Kamui and Vader couldn't do a damn thing about it. All Obito needs to do is touch Vader once and he disappears into a dimension without the Force. He could just tear out his soul, and even assuming Vader managed to get a kill SOMEHOW, Obito can activate a power called Izanagi which lets him rewrite reality to bring himself back to life, perfectly heal all his wounds, and then continue fighting. This power lasts for at LEAST ten minutes. We see him use it for that long in the series, so this isn't speculation, it's a confirmed power that he has.
1v1 defeating Obito is almost IMPOSSIBLE unless you have VERY specific powers.

@@spidey2837 Yeah it works on everything. It is literally an alien super weapon designed to entrap entire worlds, so said aliens can harvest their power and maintain their immortality and incomprehensible power.

The reason the Naruto world even HAS chakra is because one of these aliens went rogue, banged a human, had some kids, and those kids ended up spreading chakra around to promote unity. So infinite tsukuyomi doesn't care if the target has chakra or is an alien or anything, it works on everything alive by design. It's like the Death Star, it doesn't matter if your planet is quirky, it blows up planets.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it was full potential Anakin, he'd win easily. If Vader never lost his fight with Obi-Wan and never had to wear the suit, he'd be one of the most op characters in all of Star Wars. However, we never actually get to see full potential Anakin, so it's all based on speculation.
Who knows? The regen factor is crazy, the possibility of Anakin losing all his connection to the force if Obito sends him to the Kamui dimension is also there...
The Orbs can only be touched/fought with is Natural Chakra (Senjutsu) which comes from Nature, so Force is useless against them... The Ten Tails being summoned that fast IS cap though, like, its not that easy to summon that thing, the other Tailed beasts yes, but not the tenth one.

As much as I'm a fan of Naruto and Star Wars, I don't know enough about the intricacies to say anything about the outcome of the fight. I think there was ONE inconsistency in terms of the time needed to summon the ten tails and the Tsukuyomi moon but eh. This battle isn't one I'm too invested in. My phone group on the other hand says that the outcome is total bull and only one of them defended the ending.
I say this was bs because they just needed a way to make sure the fight wouldn't drag on. The tree took so long to bloom in the show that it didn't even get a chance too. It was a very long fight before Naruto cut it down.
Tbf that's just putting pointless stock in the animation, vader as presented doesn't really have a way to properly win this. Said animations are and have always been spectacle fluff for the viewer to watch because their entertaining, they've never been meant to be taken seriously.

Yeah plus the animation is purely a representation of how some things might go but leading to the most conclusive result, just for entertainment and showing off all the goodies. Like one version of the fight could just have Obito phasing through Vader when Vader tries a force pull and Obito just ripping his soul out with the Rinnegan (and that's if Kamui phasing doesn't just negate Obito being pulled or thrown in general by Vader). Or putting Vader into a genjutsu for even a split second long enough to suck him into Kamui. Or one where Vader just catches Obito slipping and cuts him in half.
But then that would skip like a dozen techniques from both sides and Obito really didn't have to get close at all; he never even tried summoning one of the big beasties of the Rinnegan like the giant multi-headed dog that regrows upon being cut and just overwhelming Vader with random shit to concentrate on and then sneak in with Kamui or Soul Steal. But that would be boring as hell seeing an intangible man poking and prodding and retreating until he lands a kill shot.
