- Hello Everyone!
Today's episode focuses on QuaranTina's braking system and it definitely needs it. If you have a project sitting around for a long time, you will probably have to rebuild part or all the braking components.
Follow along as the calipers, master cylinders and brake lines get the attention they so desperately need. This method of rebuild can be used for any motorcycle out there. Just make sure to find the appropriate parts and rebuild kits!

Very helpful for my recently-acquired 1978 XS750 :) thanks!
Glad it could be helpful! Be sure to sub - lots more content on the way!
Great stuff. I've owned a '79 XS750 for a couple years now which rides super smoooth but its a bit of a rust bucket. I'm finally ready to start restoring it and your series will come in very handy! Thanks for the content.
Glad they can be of some help! Be sure to sub - more content coming soon!
I just picked up a 77 my self, looking foward to watching more for your videos as I begin working on bringing this ol girl back to life
So far I'm loving all your quarantina videos! I just picked up a '77 XS750 2D. So these are giving me good ideas as to what I'm in for. She sat for 34 years before I saved her.
Glad you're enjoying the content! More is on the way! Congrats on your 2D - those are getting harder to find.
@@RicksGarage if you're on Facebook I'll show you a picture of her. She's all still there. My friend's dad parked it when my friend was born. And Wednesday was the first time in 34 years that it left the garage.
@@RicksGarage I added a video of my 2D running! Thank you for your awesome videos. Where did you get your brake lines? Braves are my next project.
Just watched it! That thing sounds great! - keep that momentum going
I got the brake lines from mikesxs.com - they sell mostly xs650 stuff but the brake lines worked just fine.
@@RicksGarage thank you! With the choke on she starts with one kick now. I'll look into those brake lines 👍👍
Great videos! Following this project. Not many XS750-2D 1977 projects out there like my own.
I also have a '77 2D! I just picked up mine up the other day.
Just recently got a 79 and I'm trying to get it road worthy. Where did you get the new caliper Pistons?
I was lucky enough to be able to reuse all the pistons I had - otherwise, I'd be searching through a breaker yard - the good news is that most older yamaha calipers are similar and interchangeable
“Fancy pants calliper paint”! 🤣🤣
What company did u get the new front master cylinder from and where did u get the braided brake lines?
Hi Chance, the master cylinder came from eBay and the braided lines came from mikesxs.net
@@RicksGarage was the master cylinder 14mm?
@@RicksGarage was the master cylinder a xs750 replacement or just universal?
Ooh - that's a good question- the one I purchased did look a little on the small side... I may be replacing it later
The one I bought was just a universal
