He's already a world class player and his best position is in central midfield. Honestly think it would be a bit of a waste of such a great talent if he plays at right back for the rest of his career. Since Pavard is coming in the summer I think he'll move into a midfield trio alongside Leon Goretzka and Thiago. This might be their strongest 11 come next season:

It's true, wouldn't trust him for defensive work. More like a right midfielder or a winger-back.
But it might destroys him though. Not all player had that versatility and adaptability. Doesn't matter if he used to play CM, because right now, he is adjusting to RB. Its definitely not a waste though. Its harder to get a quality RB than CM nowdays. At least imo. Its the same for TAA. I rather have these two stays as RB than switching. Their presence just raise the bar for RBs.

He’s also extremely versatile like Lahm and is able to tuck in when needed. He’s got an excellent mental game, makes himself seem a lot stronger than he is, and uses the opposition CM/CDM to gauge his own position during a build up phase, triggers for advancement are often team dependent, so he’s a tactical genius as well. You can’t teach this, he’s just got it.
Make a video showing the similarities of Kimmich and Lahm..
1: Find space out wide in rb position. Then play ball forward to striker or winger if not then cm
2: if there is no space make an attacking run out wide or open up more
3: when winger has ball make overlapping run
4: pinch in to cm when ball is in attacking position at left side

@@lornvichethvithia5692 no Kimmich is the more complete player between them all. There is no Right back who currently influences his side more than Kimmich for Bayern. And while Semedo,Carvajal(spelling I ain't sure),Walker and Cancelo are decent,Kimmich edges them narrowly

It isnt simply looking for space and pass...rewatch the video and see that every time Kimmich receives the ball a player(usually the winger) runs towards the side line, streatching the back 4 and creating more space for Kimmich safe pass or just to pin down the winger so Kimmich can safely move forward

Now that he’s back in his natural position as a midfielder you can see how world class he is. His assist in the final of CL and how he ripped apart atleti the best defensive team in Europe. Atm he’s the best midfielder in the world. Bayern have the best midfield as well with likes of goretska Kimmich muller.
