Thank you. I was starting to feel bad for buying an outdoor hutch when all the other videos are of massive indoor rooms for guinea pigs! It's nice to have some simple ideas which are fun and will not break the bank. Can't wait to get my piggies when the lockdown is over xx
Thank you for this video! I wasn’t really sure if getting an outdoor hutch was good because i saw other videos saying it’s bad, it’ll get cold, but now i’m set on getting a hutch after lockdown!
Oh I like the cowl idea to go over their plastic hide away. Go to thrift stores and look for wool and angora wool blend sweaters, scarves, hats etc. Angora wool from rabbits is 8 times warmer than sheep’s wool.
Great video. Just to point out its worth mentioning that because guinea pigs often wee where they sleep, the jumpers need to be washed and changed very frequently as once the bedding gets wet it will be less warm.Lovely idea with the hidey being wrapped in warm jumpers :)
You can use them cosy socks to cut out two little holes for front paws and where we'd put our foot is where they're bum would be. So like a cheap jumper lol 😂
Guinea pigs are suppose to be provided with their natural instincts while kept in captivity, being outside does that for them and the hutch is insulated so they can easily get warm if they want to and you can see that she wants the best for her piggies
@@charleneklimczuk1778 I understand she wants the best for her guineas, obviously she loves them. But these are not wild guinea pigs they cannot survive in certain temperatures. But we cannot tell her what to do and how to do it because we don’t know how and what she’s allowed to do in her home. We can just hope and pray that her piggies are OK and we can actually offer some help or offer to send things to her to help these babies stay warm. I would be willing to send you things that you really need. And it would be a gift because I rescue Guinea Pigs and I’m sure my piggies would love to donate. Much love

Glad I could help!
Great tips, Alinka!

How did your dad insulate the hutch? I feel like that’s really important in keeping them warm. I would love to try the same
My dad used eco therm 😊

Be aware condensation can happen inside those plastic hiddys.
i find if you put them in the oven at 300 degrees it keeps them warm all winter long
Appreciate your advise thanks!! #2024
Very creative
Very very beautiful
How cold is to cold for piggies?
Anything less then 60 degrees fahrenheit
Anything under 15 degrees, especially in the UK where I am anyway
@@charleneklimczuk1778 correction: 60 degrees

Put the guinea pigs inside wtf
Why? Its insulated so they have warmth they probably appreciate being able to go outside.
@@jessiefranklin9318 yeah exactly, it seems better in a way, well to me anyway.
