I go sledding with my miniature stud all the time and it’s such a blast! If you get going pretty fast and then turn you can drift with the sled and it’s amazing😆 It’s great to do when he’s feeling extra frisky and just really wants to run. I feed cattle with him so sometimes it’s nice for him to run a lap around the hay yard to get the kinks out before he has to be serious and work.
Yes, it would make sense since we don't need them for transportation or farming anymore. Rarely are they used to make a living or get from town to town but it sure is neat to see when they are.
newcalbeck Thanks so much! It was a simple break so a splint is all I need. Even though it was worth it, it turns out my nephew didn’t need the help after all, he got tossed from the sled long before I did :)
Hey Shelly - where did you get that girth with that great big back pad for your harness? I'd love to have a girth like that for driving my Clydes in shafts. I'd like to find some English trace harness in fact, but i can't find it even advertised anywhere. Thanks - TB
That one moment when he just kinda hops and was like oh boy you better hang on XD
Ha ha, yep!

Oh my goodness that sounds so fun! Sounds like you’ve mastered this sport. Thanks for sharing! 🤩
What great fun. It's truly a wonderful life, and thanks for sharing that!
I agree!
100 years ago, there were 20 millions horses in the US, 60 years ago 4.5 millions. today....9 millions. Strange times

Growing up, we used to hook our sleds up to our great danes. What have you hooked your sled up to?
well we had Malamutes so that is the proper animal for pulling a sled lol! hope your finger heals fast!
Malamutes! Awesome! Yes, definitely the right sled pulling animal :)
If you don't break something it's not fun..... right???
Absolutely! Ha ha
