We didn't see your son in about 10 years, that little dude is grown now
Last time i saw him, he was doing taekwando kicks or sumin in a taekwando uniform. Cant really recall exactly but he was not this big damnn
@@3009haikal😊😊
This is my first time seeing his son
He has been in boarding school I think. I remember Angel saying something about how next time if he messed up he begged Guga not to send him to boarding school too. Now seeing for the first time his son, it makes sense.
Ten years of not seeing a child does make a lot of difference 😂 they grow a lot in 10 years.
The problem with having a dad that's one of the best meat chefs around is that what the son might consider "not too bad" might be top 1% for anyone else on earth!
You got a point though 😂
Imagine having someone like Gordon Ramsay as a father! I'm sure much of his public character is just an act, some of that must bleed into his personal life.
Yeh. I always subtract the 'expert' tax from estimates from channels like this.
It really was just okay. Have been there last year. Somehow they are missing heat and the meat does not really get a nice crust. The quality may be great, but the preparation is not :/
it is nice to have video with your son
that bussy lookin fresh on his son
I agree
@@supaburger You guys mean " Honey, We shrank Angel?"
Cringe genz kid not liking anything
@@notmewooshme9916 young people dont usually have refined pallets. let him grow into it jesus
7:40 Guga just had a spiritual experience with the food and his hilarious son's like: "Ok, bro, we get it." 🤣
lol idk if guga is just too used to overreacting for the video's sake or if he is like this 24/7 and the kid has to deal w it all day lmao
@ricardorivera7549 Guga definitely have a passion for food, he based his entire career on it so...
@@mr.q337 yeah obviously of course, but he deos over dew-it (lol) sometimes. like bro guga could literally eat a loaf of bread and say "its AMAAZING everybody, u must try this" while angel looks more realistic like "yep this is good"
It's good to see that The Kingpin is spending valuable time with his son; hopefully Spider-Man and Daredevil won't bother him in Japan.
That’s crazy 🤣💀🤣💀💀🤣
@@jonathonjamalison7025 I honestly did mistake him for The Kingpin in the thumbnail for a moment.
Penny Parker is going to get full on third impact on him.
More of this content, please. So good to see authentic reviews, no ads, just dudes being bros and feeling out some grub.
agreed
Guga seems like he’d be a great dad
He puts off good vibes for sure.
*he is
well his children are without a doubt well-fed!
Absolutely love the delight on guga's face when he loves something but also the face of disgust when he hates it 🤣🤣🤣🤣, great to see the young man in on the video's, love watching these videos
It’s funny to see the difference in an adult and teen taste buds because we were all young once also
I would like to think it's more that our taste buds change every 7 years. And so, Guga's taste buds seemed more refine to those of who are older and have had the chance to taste different food later in life. His son on the other hand, has probably not been able to. BUT, let us appreciate his son being mature and tasting everything at least once without complaint or being a brat. Guga and his SO, if he has one that helped raise his son, raised his son right.
When I was younger, I hated mashed potatoes, mushrooms, beans and peas among others. Now, you give me mash with a mushroom gravy or beans and my dopamine levels will skyrocket. I tolerate peas, still not a huge fan of them though. I’m glad I’m not British or eating anything Jamie Oliver makes 😂
its like that for me as well. One thing i regretted was whenever i was younger and i went overseas i stayed american instead of trying out the local foods. My dumbass wanted pizza, burgers and fries.
Not to be a downer, genuinely coming from a place of appreciation but:
Writing this while trying to hold back tears as I've been watching you for years, even when you were a small youtuber. My dad and I would chill in the living room and binge your videos all the time on across your channels. We'd go out to eat things you did, and I'd try to impress my dad with home cooked dishes you made in videos. You inspired and taught me to cook, and I now have a passion and a life skill that has set me up for success. My dad is unfortunately no longer with us (passed due to colon cancer 10 months ago). Something about hearing you saying "I love my son's honesty" reminded me of how my dad would talk about me and how proud he was. Now I'm crying but I want to say thank you for making the content you do, and for being a great dad, making memories that will stick with your son for the rest of his life. I hope to be a father, like you and my dad, one day. Take care!
Wow, thank you 🙏
@@guga anytime 🙏🏼
sorry for your loss
bro u typing like its ur last day on earth XD
lmao sometimes grief hits you hard randomly when something reminds you of the person. Also guga’s definitely a huge inspiration to me but i don’t think i ever commented before so idk.
aww his son sounds like angel! ☺️
and looks
Yeah the voice is exactly the same, if both Angel and him talked at the same time it would be confusing 😅
I think they r cousins
ikr
@@nuttyart129OMG... the big revelation 😂
*These videos with your son are so good Guga. You two make the perfect duo for tasting new food. Keep them videos coming! Lots of love from Greece!*
DRY AGE STEAK IN OYSTER SAUCE
Oyster cooked in steak sauce!
He doesn't care about the fans. It's super obvious
Just shut up for once
Perhaps while you're writing these comments, Guga has had this steak in the fridge for two years. This is going to be a big surprise lol
I love the dedication
i love the videos with your son hes such a cool kid you should be proud guga keep up the good family content
Does your son like greens?
Super fun times in Japan! Really touching to see you doing food tours with your son! Bravo Guga!
*THAT'S LITERALLY A BLOCK AWAY FROM MY WORKPLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
*HOW DID I MISS AN OPPORTUNITY TO MEET GUGA HIMSELF!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?*
He was on vacation :D Yes, there was a chance but please give them some private time on vacation^^
@@sintoxic Definitely. I would certainly not try to interfere too much. I just meant I could've given them a quick hi if I've known they were coming.
What an incredible experience to share with your son! Thanks for taking us along with you 😃
Ok you gotta find a few things. Basashi (raw horse), gyutan (grilled cow tongue), kakigori (basically a fancy snow cone), unagi (grilled eel), Reimen (a cold spicy noodle dish but it's normally up North but you might find it). Those are just a few of my favorites
The brown powder is called Kinako, which is a roasted soy flour. The roasting gives it a peanut flavoring.
Guga splurging money on japanese food and enjoying them with his son in japan is just heartwarming to watch.
Guga's son looks a lot like Angel
and sounds
Guga will cook him some day
Biblically accurate?
Not the biblically accurate ones
i mean they are cousins
I love the way your eyes light up when you bite into something good. So much fun.
Omg i didnt know i needed this type of Guga content! I am so into it, thats wholesome and interesting, i am here for any content but this video definitely fit my day and helped fixing my exhausted brain, thank you!
Japan is on my bucket list of places to go visit!!!
me too
Guga fam! Love it. Nice video. Guga inspires me. Do what you love and build around it.
Can't miss the similarity between crack / crack like chemicals and food. I quote Guga : "It's too good, I can't help myself". Buying some again.
Fellow crackhead here, the MSG is obviously the crack of food, but you can also have an almost psychedelic experience eating japanese beef without it. EmmEssJeeyuu or simply amino acidu liku you find in delicious beefu is my favouriteee.
@@shornoMALONEY wtf you might still do crack actually ^^'
I also know very very well most of pyros and cathinones and yes the msg is key, I use it myselft in food everywhere.
Wagyu seasonned with msg must be incredible.
@@totalredeem44 tbh it probably just needs a bit of salt, the Maillard reaction will give you some tasty proteins to chew on with a similar flavour.
Wow you into pyros, I'm sketched out by them tbh! More of an arylcyclohexylamine fan myself, together with some novel tryptamines. Not actually into crack haha, doesn't last long enough!
Edit: Also of course 4-MMC is amazing, I lived in the UK pre-ban, my mate bought a ki and ended up like scarface with this mountain of cat-piss smelling stuff in his "office".
Literally using a teaspoon into the mountain to measure it into bags on tare on the scale. Legend haha.
@totalredeem44 Research chemicals is where it’s at, baby!
@@Sniperboy5551 RC love ;)
Amazing video, this is a special one, hope u had an amazing time with your son! 😄
So cool that you got to show your son around Tokyo! Would love to take my dad sometime.
Missed opportunity, you should’ve linked up with the @abroadinjapan team while out there 🥲
Super fun times in Japan! Really touching to see you doing food tours with your son!
Every video uploaded is a gift. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Very nice and personal video. I enjoyed it alot.
Awesome! Very cool that you have your Son with you!
Really cool making your son a part of the content. Not sure if it was something that you or him were always hesitant about, but glad that you did it. It will be a memory that live on forever for generations to come. Hopefully he also shows up in the other channels as well!.
Looks like a lot of fun. My man Guga is the chillest dude. Perfect guy to just kick it with and make the rounds trying different foods
Great video Guga
agreed
9:30~ That's ginger pickled in sake lees. Yes, it doesn't look appetizing, but it's quite good.
10:21~ I go to that shawarma vendor every day I go to work; the guys there know me btw
Pickled in sake lees? What is that?
@@PaulCHa sake lees are what you get after extracting the sake out of the fermented rice.
@@MrAqr2598What is the name of the place for black gyoza and good wagyu sushi with wasabi, bro?
@@hndrwn The place with the wagyu sushi is "Meat Shop Hiro". I couldn't find the place with the black dumplings; I'll have to check later.
Can't wait to see what crazy videos are inspired by this trip. Hopefully you all enjoy/enjoyed yourselves and were safe.
Loving this adventure and following your journey
Why is everyone saying the video is good it’s only been 2 minutes how have they watched it already 💀😭
they must watch on 6x speed 🤣
your son has been spending too much time with angel, he has the same way of talking and close-mindedness towards unusual foods!
Now that you mentioned it he is angel with fringe
But does he eat his veggies tho?
Or maybe he is just a teenager... its not that deep
Thanks for the taste tests, I'm headed that way next spring for the first time. Love your channel. Arigato
Yes we enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Guga please try German version of Döner which is the most famous food in Germany even tho it's originated from Turkey and also try other German dishes
He doesnt take fan suggestions

Yes, try Currywurst, Mettbrötchen, Döner Kebap, Flammkuchen and Berliner.
Wait, Döner is diffrent over here? I genuinely did not even know.

Excellent cover of the food and appreciate sharing the family.
Guga what an amazing video with your son! Congrats!
Great video, looks like you and your son had quite the culinary adventure
This format is so much better than the usual standing on set telling us about your trip. Keep up the great work.

your son looks so much like angel. good to see some quality father son moments.
Thank you for sharing your adventures
I saw that cover photo and for a minute thought Dr. Evil had started a food channel.Glad you got a day with your kid.
I love the idea that you are doing this food tour with your son. Cheers!
Love this video! Reminds me of whenever my dad had time we’d go to Cali or a different city and go on a foodie adventure and just eat whatever and hang out ❤
i love this version of Guga travelling!😊
Hahaha! Guga really did him dirty with the Dream face reveal angle lmao
This was such a great video 😊
glad to have your son to do a review. Honesty is the best policy
Love the japan food review videos!
Man I love gugas channel/videos❤
Guga just gasses up everything A lot, it was honestly refreshing to see his son's unfiltered reaction, lol.
I love traveling with my family and it does not matter if of to another country or just down the road to the park because as they get older and meet girls and boys those special moments will get less and less .I love every show you have put on you tube
It was a pleasure to meet you at the market! I only wish I'd known to try the black wagyu gyoza!
Guga always keeps it 💯
Loved the video of you two together.
I love your videos, they are so engaging
Been a few videos now and I can’t help but notice. Guga! You’re looking great!
Guga bro youre looking GOOD. Very well-done on getting in shape!
Mr Guga,
Here is the thing about Japan I wished you would have made a point of mentioning, but I'm assuming you didn't know:
The Kyoto region in Kansai, is KNOWN for having very faint, light-tasting foods. That is the traditional flavouring of the region, historically.
Of course, with modernisation and faster import-exports of goods etc, tastes are all changing everywhere, such as the shock to see Kebab there also! LOL
But compared to other regions in Japan, Kyoto is particularly known for having very light flavours. So as you even mentioned that in a couple of the things you ate, that is the reason.
If you go to other regions, you will taste things more, or have a different flavour to the exact same thing being sold, but with the style and flavour and taste of that region.
Hope through these experiences your sons grows to appreciate different things in this wide wide world
great vid bro!!!😎 i want to take my kid there too some day!🤗
@Guga LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
Baby octopus is actually one of my favorite foods from Japan and the Philippines. It's absolutely amazing
Some of the stuff you ate looks REALLY good Guga! I really wish I was in your position right now.
Love the honesty. Gaga saying it like it is
I would love to experience that THX GUGA for the vid that Wagyu sushi looks like the bomb.
It does look tasty, but I personally wouldn't call it sushi.
It's steak and rice.
If I put a strawberry on a ball of sushi rice can I charge 5 times what they'd sell for separately? That's what it's really all about.
A cook's greatest strength lies in their fearlessness towards food.
Great editing and video footage you can really ree everything
Guga's "That's amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing, everybody" will never go old :D
I love your sons honesty as well. "It's a bit of a scam" 😂😂
I don't want to impose or suggest you exploit relatives. But could watch another video with your son as second opinion (or maybe 30 😊)
7:40... that bite brought tears to his eyes... I want to experience that sooooo bad!
Thx for the video an glad you liked some of the food , i'm going to have some chicken soup an a grilled cheese though lol
Been a while since I've seen a guga video you look good man working out?
I give 10/10 for this vlog! Really enjoy your food trip vlog that introduce and comment on different food . Probably other than those tourist spots like nishiki market, it will be nice to look for those "hidden" restaurants that arent in "top 10" whatsoever tourist list.
Man. your son is lucky. Not just the trip to Japan, but just getting to spend a ton of time with your father like this...I can tell you right now, Guga, if you ever see this, your son will appreciate these moment more than anything when he's older and realizes these right here are "the good ole days". I wish i got to spend some more time with my father, but things just didn't work out that way.
At 7:42, you see the moment that Guga realizes he's SO happy to be alive for that one experience. He looks like he just saw his first born for the first time, lol!
Also, I have to take his son's opinion with a grain of salt. He grew up with a dad who always made the best steaks and who knew all the tricks to make a perfect steak. Not everyone can say that. His perspective might be significantly different because of that.
This brought back memories of a trip me and my partner had about 1 year ago, can confirm the gyoza were amazing. If you wanna have a good time walking around and stuff yourself with great food recomend :3
food that you remembered forever is a good catchphrase. only people that appreciate good food really have that kind of trait.
I love your travel videos.
I love your videos
seeing your son just reminds me im getting old. he was so small when i first started watching your videos.
Good eats! I just had a Japanese style chicken kebab yesterday too! Raindrop cakes are actually called Shingen misu mochi and come from Yamanashi, where their namesake, Takeda Shingen, was warlord.
