Since then I have added architect led lamp which is clamped to one of the monitor arms. The open space of my desk footprint is all due to that monitor stand. Honestly think the wireless mouse and keyboard combo I picked up last year are my favorite desk items. No wires, can move them anywhere, and low battery draw so I'm not investing too much in battery replacements.

I would say that my favorite item on my desk is my computer. I can't afford a MACBOOK but i still can do a lot of things on mine and that is why i really love it.
By far the best investment I made to my desk space was a secondary bench for the monitors. It brings the monitors up to eye level so there is far less strain on my eyes and back and gives me back some room on the main bench for the rest of my work. As a uni student, you can imagine and know just how much can be needed during study times...
Nice setup but fixing hard drive using double tape under the desk is not that safe, it might fall after time specially it vibrates that could weaken the tape
My work space is tiny but my fave part about it is being able to do different stuff by just turning the chair. I can switch between working at the computer and playing piano by just turning 180 degrees 🙌

I really like my keyboard; Corsair Strafe mx Brown very reliable and nice to type with, my Logitech g pro wireless is the best mouse i've ever had - I almost never charge it, its light, its responsive and precise, love it! And as the last thing is for sure, my around 4 yrs old BenQ XL3024T monitor, even though its got the thick bessels and is a bit outdated I simply love it!
So I have two favorites. 1) my Kensington dock which allows me to easily switch from my company P.C. to my personal Mac. 2) my stuffed grogu that my son (7 yrs old) and my wife made for me.

Hey Andrew, you should get an ultra wide monitor. A ultra wide would pair nicely with your desktop and MacBook setup. You can split the ultra wide monitor to view both your Mac and desktop.
My favorite workspace feature is my wooden countertop meant for a kitchen that I recently bought from idea, it has the look and finish of a very nice wooden desktop, without the expensive price point. I coupled it with table legs and drawers to create a nice desk space.
Go with the Herman Miller Aeron. Best chair on the market and well worth the price. We use them in professional editing on shows and films and I can always tell the level a show is on by how they treat the editors and the first sign is an Aeron chair in the edit bay. They usually last 12-15 years or longer. I usually buy my own off Craigslist for about USD$450 used.
