What I love about this song, as a Psychology Major, is that the whole concept is based on Carl Jung’s ideology. This song would be like who RM is as a rapper versus Kim Namjoon the person versus the person people THINK RM is.
What was dope is that he literally brought back Skool Luv Affair...when I heard the first few seconds I was hype.
I think with this song he separated the different parts of himself and not only was rapping to himself but also to the haters.
I can’t even imagine how hype everyone will be at the stadium tour when this song plays.

Yes. It annoys me whenever I see a comment that claims that BTS changed, and they wish they would go back to their songs from back then. I just wanna slap all the albums in their face.
Behind The Scenes of my Seoul same i group like bts is more than just their title tracks wich are bops that i personally love but their b side tracks are just as amazing and they content all the deep messages and lyrics and word plays that some kpop fans are missing out just because they are so used to only listen and judge groups and artist base on the title tracks genres most of them don't even bother to read lyrics and disect the messages most kpop fans only care about catchy beats , dance , visuals and concepts most of the time and when it comes to boy groups kpop fans have that weird fetish with hip hop to the point that if a title track is not hip hop they talk shit abou it as if that is the only genre of music that exist 🙄 they couldn't care less about lyricism and the depth of a song ,BTS and big hit unlike many kpop groups care about the whole quality of the albums, you can see how some kpop groups have good or decent title tracks but when it comes to the b side tracks they lack quality and you feel some songs are just there to fill space in the album but that is NOT the case with bts their b side tracks are solid and every of them have a purpose in the album and tell us an story or give us a message regardless of the genre of music they experiment with , also i like BTS versatility and the way the never get stuck in one genre or concept but experiment with a lot of music genres and concepts because that is truly what made an artist discover themselves, find or solidify their sound, evolve , and grown into better artists so when they came back to their roots or comfort zone or expertice ( like for examples bts with hip hop) you can actually see the evolution and growth

리액션 개존잼이예요 펄소나 리액션비디오 중 베스트네여 ㅠ ㅋㅋ 사실 방탄이 너무 공익돌로 가는 거 아니냐는 일각의 얘기들이 있어요 또 굉장히 포괄적인 얘기를 하고 있어서 허상적이다 심하게는 형이상학적이다 라고 하는 사람들도 있는데 이런 메세지를 7년을 존버하니까 팬인 저로서도 진짜 진심이긴 한가봐 설득당하더라고요 그리고 진짜 진심으로 고민하는 모습들이 계속해서 포착됐고요
랩몬스터일 때도 랩스타가 되고싶어 입증하고 인정받고 싶던 펄소나가 있었고 그냥 학창시절 때 미움이란 걸 받을 줄 몰랐던 평범하고 유머좀 있고 공부 잘했던 남자애를 그리워하는 펄소나도 있었던 거 같아요. 지금은 올라온 위치만큼 좀 더 두꺼운 가면을 쓸 각오도 하면서 그거때메 생기는 그림자에 가려질 이런저런 자아를 안잊으려는 훈련을 하는 거 같은 모습이네여
여튼 그런 인상을 받으면서... 잘뽑은 락킹 바이브에 가수인생 초기의 펄소나를 팬들로 상기시키게끔 자기 옛날 노래를 또 샘플링해서 덧붙인 게 기분이 좋네요. 정성과 통찰력 좋으신 분들이 리액션해주셔서 소감이 막 길게 나왔어요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그리고 많은 팬들 혹시 신경쓰시느라 호칭같은 거 존칭쓰시는 거 아닌지 싶은데 편하게 있는 그대로 느낌 그대로 적정선에서만 말씀 자유롭게 해주세요. 진짜 너무 재밌게 봤어요. 아 그리고 앨범테마다 보니 융의 이론에 가사 구성을 좀 맞춘 거 같더라고요 그래서 전 더 흥미롭게 들었는데 같이 즐길 수 있다면 좋겠어요 ㅠ

이번 앨범에서 방탄은 2013~2018까지의 학교, 청춘, 자기애의 깨달음을 가지고 다시 2014년으로 갑니다 그리고 내면에서 자문자답하며 존재의 진정한 이유 내 자신에대한 고찰을 이번 앨범에 담았어요 그래서 뮤비 트레일러는 셋으로 나뉩니다 첫째파트는 페르소나 둘째 그림자 셋째파트는 조화와 수용입니다 둘째부분에서 그림자가 페르소나에게 질문하는 랩을하고 RM은 내면의 대화를 통해 내적 이해를 돕고 페르소나의 진정한 가치와 힘 그 안에서 잊지말아야 할 자신에 대해 이야기하며 긍정적으로 바라보는 페르소나 자신을 망각하지 않게하는 그림자 모두 나 자신이라는 인정으로 끝내죠
아 그 어려운 영혼의 지도를 어찌 이렇게 짧은 뮤비를 통해 표현할수있는지 그의 천재성을 엿볼수 있었어요 💜

RM이라는 이름이 어떤 의미를 담고있는지 스스로 정의하진 않았어요. 많은 분들이 랩몬스터의 약자라고 생각하시긴 하지만요. 시간이 흐르면서 본인의 음악적 가치관에 랩몬스터라는 이름이 조금은 벗어난 것 같아서 RM이라고 이름을 바꿨데요ㅎㅎ Real me라고 보는 게 가장 맞을 것 같아요. RM의 랩에서 강점이 철학적인 가사라고 생각하는데 거기에 집중해서 들어주셔서 너무 재밌게 봤네요. 가사 뿐만 아니라 칠판에 써있는 내용이라든가 오프닝이라든가 다 의미가 담겨있어요ㅎㅎ찾아보셔도 재밌을 것 같아요. 앨범이 나오고 혹시 다른 리액션 하시면 좋겠어요~

Rachel Lay the first one is not a bad thing because that is what artist are meant to do grown , upgrade and evolve as time pass and they gain more and more experience in their craft and learn more about themselves as both as an artist and as a person so first one is actually a compliment but the second one i agree is awkward korean beauty standars are crazy i dont even know and would never understand how a sexy ass man like namjoon was called " ugly" by korean beauty standars is beyond me to understand that when that man has always been a sexy snack and he is now even hotter but anyway to each their own i guess

이 비트가 5년전 2014년의 스쿨럽어페어라는 앨범의 컴백트레일러 비트와 같아요! 다시 올드스쿨 힙합으로 돌아간거같아요ㅜ진짜ㅠ
이거 데뷔 때 intro: skool luv affair 다시 샘플링해서 한거라 초심으로 돌아가자는게 정말 맞는 것 같아요.
그리고 저도 팬이지만, 기반으로 한 철학책 융의지도 어려워서 읽지도 못하는데, RM이 가사를 5번 이상 계속 수정작업을 거쳐 완성한 이 가사로 핵심포인트를 정확히 알게되서 좋습니다.
예전 앨범은 가면속의 나 를 주목했다면, 이번은 가면속의 나 도 나로 인정하는 단계같아요^^

I was looking forward to your reactions because you understand the Korean language first hand, so you know what he's saying as he says it. But for me an international listener I have to read the lyrics and then try to keep up with the track, which is a little frustrating but I don't mind. Their messages of hope resonates to so many, all around the world. Therefore the fact that they sing it in a language we may not understand at first does

이번 앨범을 스스로 해석할 능력은 없고 여기저기 떡밥 줏어가며 알게될수록 머리를 해머로 맞은듯한 충격을 받아요 전 정말 낼 모래면 앞 숫자가 5가 됩니다 이런저런 삶속에서 쓰고다니던 가면들이 너무 무거워서 뛰쳐나오길 반복하다 어느순간 두더지처럼 암흙속에 묻혀 살아가고있는 내 모습이 너무 초라하고 비루하더군요 그래서 이번에 나올 앨범속 메세지가 너무 충격적으로 다가오더군요 살아오면서 스스로 벗어던지고 밞아버렸던 그 많은 모습들이 나였다는걸 인정하지 못했었구나 그러다보니 스스로의 자괴감에 나를 잃고 나를 사랑하지 않았구나 좀 슬프더군요 앞으로 좀 사랑하려구요 스스로를 도닥이려합니다 그 동안 고생한거 고생해다고 다독이려합니다 그러면 좀 더 편안해질거 같아요
