I didn't know universities made such food, for some reason I always thought it would be bland and boring but it actually looks great!
Yeah, I think uni food gets a really bad rep. Don't get me wrong, it's horrible sometimes but most of the time it's good!

I'm glad you like the video! Most of the time, the food is a hit or miss. What really helps is that you have the option to make yourself a toasted sandwich if you're not feeling the food that day. Also having noodles always helps!

And i wanted to ask whether in the UCT res( first year ofcourse) are you able to have your own pots , microwave and all that stuff or are you expected to eat the food that is offered .

Hey, so they have self catering residence and catered res. If you live in a catered res you are not allowed to cook. There are no stoves or ovens. They only thing they have are microwaves and boilers. You can bring small appliances such as a kettle or fridge but you are not allowed to cook. Hope this helps!

I got all of them from the dining hall except for the guavas and strawberries
