My view of Grace on Infinity War is that she was ‘premature’. 😂 Her main criticism was that the story focused on Thanos instead of the Avengers. Then it added insult to injury by killing Gamora. But she could not know that Infinity War set up Endgame - which is *not* about Thanos and *is* about the Avengers. And Gamora - was NOT fridged. She was actually being setup as the character who would turn on Thanos and bring him down. it was *perfectly* setup, she just reviewed it based on being misdirected {misdirection is a technique in storytelling), and then couldn’t take her original review back. She is right that Endgame is the *MCU’s best film.* But Endgame is only great because of Infinity War - and *vice versa.* That’s the key.
I don’t think Bucky and Namor are a fair comparison to make. We have to remember, when 1991 rolls around, Bucky has been brainwashed for almost five decades. He is a shell of a person, not at all in control of his actions. Namor, while guided by his rage and wanting war, was still in control of himself. If we want to make a comparison, use Zemo; he killed King T’Chaka.

The idea that you have to go small after Endgame was correct. So now Feige wants different corners of the MCU to develop independently (Cosmic, Mystical/Supernatural, International Political Intrigue, Street Level) and slowly build to a new threat (Kang). Black Widow should have occurred before Infinity War. Eternals should have had a Marvel+ series or special event introducing the characters so that the movie could have spent more time with the main conflict

Civil War will always be the best Marvel movie: it made every single character important, highlighting their specific skills, move sets and importance to the teams, developed Bucky, Falcon, Wanda, Vision, Clint, Sharon, Nat, Rhodey, but especially Cap and Tony; every single fight sequence was amazing, from the opening of the Avngers actually being a team, to the running chase, to the airport sequence, Tony V Bucky/Cap and it also introduced Zemo, Everett Ross, Aunt May, Ayo, Giant Man and especially Black Panther and Spiderman. CHRISTOPHER MARKUS AND STEPHEB MCFEELY wrote all 3 Cap movies, Inifinty War and Endgame. Marvel should beg them to come back.

Every time I think of the MCU, Winter Soldier always comes to mind as my favorite. It's still such a cool movie. Who would have ever thought a Captain America movie would be such a thrilling action blockbuster! Civil War is a close second. What a great Avengers movie. You can see the roster has grown a lot by then and each character feels established well enough. I still, to this day, remember that 30 second super bowl ad for Civil War. It was perfection. More trailers need to be this short and to the point. I've seen the movie a few times and the ad still gets me hyped! haha
Absolutel event cinema. The hype surrounding the opening was electric, I remember being at work the day it was out (the first screening was 6 pm) and every single person was talking about it, people were upset that it was sold out for 4 straight weeks. The shopping centre carpark was full, not for the centre, but for all the screenings of Endgame, you honestly couldn't move, the noise of the crowds could be heard so far away it was like a sports game and there were people of all ages. Something that has never happened was having sold out for weeks in advance, cinemas changed tactics for the first time and opened for 24 hours just to deal with demand, I remember that weekend had screenings at 2, 3 4 am, they sold put within minutes and the energy around the cinema was like a carnival at these hours. It was insane,
Thor Love and Thunder was worse than the dark world for me. Dark World was just boring. Love and Thunder was dumb. I find dumb to be worse than boring. I felt disrespected by Love and Thunder. It ruined Thor for me.

Nastaha balances the red in her ledger. Banner and Hulk call a truce and become the best version of themselves. Nebula becomes the best version of herself - she kills Thanos girl to become finally her own woman. Thor sets his ego aside and shares his hammer (and Godhood) with Rogers. Gamora - gets a 2nd chance to stop Thanos after waiting too late in main timeline. Thanos gets his comeuppance for his abusive treatment of his daughters. It's Gamora switching sides that turns the tide of the battle - stops him from getting the Gauntlet and seals his doom! Steve *keeps his promise, and makes his dance with Peggy, after all!* It was beautiful.
Your judging it based on 10 years of character development. Take someone who has never seen MCU films and show them Endgame and they’ll not have any of those conclusions.

Multiverse of Madness is definitely not amazing… but honesty I’ve been such a huge fan of the scarlet witch for so long that I’ve definitely watched it and it’s clips more than many of the others. Even my young neice, independently opined that she found it odd that you could have a fight scene freefalling from the sky (Black Widow) and I personally found the 180 degree turn of a serious Thor to a comic one clearly an alternate reality Thor swap.

Upon reflection, I don't hate The Eternals. It suffers from a bloated cast because of the conscious desire to represent everyone in the universe, but from a concept and character perspective it has redeeming qualities. Tonally, it reminds me of the better DCU movies, like Man of Steel, which I find preferable to outright parody like Love and Thunder.
I got to see Avengers Endgame by strolling into one of the biggest malls at 10 AM on the first day the movie started playing and bought a ticket right at the kiosk. No problem at all. The cinema was packed so I had to take a single seat at the lower right hand corner close to the screen but that's okay because the ticket only cost $11 bucks (usually this cinema charges at least $17 per ticket)
It is the best written MCU film, and the best acted as an ensemble. It has the deepest themes. The best dialogue, it makes the best use of music and it has the best action scene. That’s why it is the highest rated, most talked about, to this day, and has the best reviews from audiences and critics alike.
Top 5: Endgame Infinity War Black Panther Winter Soldier Iron Man ^ Endgame is the best by a good margin though, and I admire it *more* after listening to its whiny critics who just want these films to be comfort food, or baby food.
The one thing about this list I can’t understand is why Multiverse of Madness is so high! It was an awful movie, and Wanda’s my favorite character. Also Thor Ragnarok still achieved a lot for Thor, and I don’t think that other projects can take away how good it was on its own, tho I get where you’re coming from and that’s just my opinion.
See -- I'm one of the biggest critics of the MCU's excessive humour, but the dance battle in Guardians of the Galaxy worked for me because it was *organic* to Star Lord's character. He is a clown. He is a trickster. He is a rogue. That's who he is and how he survives, so that didn't break my immersion the same way Thor acting like a fool breaks my immersion.
Just finished my second viewing of Wakanda Forever. It’s truly a staggering achievement what Coogler and everyone else was able to accomplish. Wakanda Forever is absolutely in my MCU top 10.
The difference between Wanda's storyline in the comics and in the Doctor Strange is that in comics Wanda became crazy because of her losses and her powers growing uncontrollable while in Doctor Strange Wanda is being corrupted by the Darkhold which make her not see that she is being corrupted and the cruel/immoral things she does.She wakes up from the Darkhold influence and realises what she has done when she gets a shocking moment, watching the fear in her chidren's faces. To me it's not undoing her progression in Wandavision by making her crazy but they put a pause as she is being unknownigly corrupted. Because Wanda doesn't know what the Darkhold truly is and that even looking in it you will be corrupted. And as we know from the comics and the Scarlet Witch herself has said in the Darkhold comic series, just a look inside the book and it will corrupt everyone and it will get even worse the more you study it. And Wanda studied the entire book, she was even studying it in the end of Wandavision so the corruption part was inevitable. We also see how the Doctor strange Variants were corrupted by the book. One thing I think they should have done is make clearer for the audience about how Darkhold works and its corruption for the audience to understand.
Sorry but you gave a long explanation for a simple mistake in writing. Never use the McGuffin to take away agency from the character. When you do that the story is no longer about the character. It is about the McGuffin. Michael Waldron doesn’t know how to write.

Civil War will always be the best Marvel movie: it made every single character important, highlighting their specific skills, move sets and importance to the teams, developed Bucky, Falcon, Wanda, Vision, Clint, Sharon, Nat, Rhodey, but especially Cap and Tony; every single fight sequence was amazing, from the opening of the Avngers actually being a team, to the running chase, to the airport sequence, Tony V Bucky/Cap and it also introduced Zemo, Everett Ross, Aunt May, Ayo, Giant Man and especially Black Panther and Spiderman.
CHRISTOPHER MARKUS AND STEPHEB MCFEELY wrote all 3 Cap movies, Inifinty War and Endgame. Marvel should beg them to come back.

Every time I think of the MCU, Winter Soldier always comes to mind as my favorite. It's still such a cool movie. Who would have ever thought a Captain America movie would be such a thrilling action blockbuster! Civil War is a close second. What a great Avengers movie. You can see the roster has grown a lot by then and each character feels established well enough. I still, to this day, remember that 30 second super bowl ad for Civil War. It was perfection. More trailers need to be this short and to the point. I've seen the movie a few times and the ad still gets me hyped! haha

Absolutel event cinema. The hype surrounding the opening was electric, I remember being at work the day it was out (the first screening was 6 pm) and every single person was talking about it, people were upset that it was sold out for 4 straight weeks. The shopping centre carpark was full, not for the centre, but for all the screenings of Endgame, you honestly couldn't move, the noise of the crowds could be heard so far away it was like a sports game and there were people of all ages.
Something that has never happened was having sold out for weeks in advance, cinemas changed tactics for the first time and opened for 24 hours just to deal with demand, I remember that weekend had screenings at 2, 3 4 am, they sold put within minutes and the energy around the cinema was like a carnival at these hours. It was insane,

Thanos gets his comeuppance for his abusive treatment of his daughters.
It's Gamora switching sides that turns the tide of the battle - stops him from getting the Gauntlet and seals his doom!

Guardian of galaxy 1 is a great movie. the clever humor and the dynamic with the gang of misfits, dance battle and the scene with Peter sharing his pain with friend holding the power stone is one of the best moments the in mcu

Multiverse of Madness is definitely not amazing… but honesty I’ve been such a huge fan of the scarlet witch for so long that I’ve definitely watched it and it’s clips more than many of the others. Objectively it shouldn’t be that high but… I can watch Wanda cut loose all day. And she’s still more powerful than the movie showed.
Phase 4 was directionless, up until Avengers Endgame it always felt the movies were building up to something.

I loved the roses Eternals took. Was it a bit boring? Sure, but the good moments were SO good and so different from other MCU movies that I can forgive it.
I struggle to choose between Infinity War and Endgame as I love them both. I also see it as one big story.
I felt like Thanos was a great villain in IW, but in EG they dumbed him down unnecessarily.

black widow and love and thunder deserve to be nearer the bottom. Even my young neice, independently opined that she found it odd that you could have a fight scene freefalling from the sky (Black Widow) and I personally found the 180 degree turn of a serious Thor to a comic one clearly an alternate reality Thor swap.
Ngl, GOTG 1 and Infinity War being so low came as a shock but to each their own, honestly I'm glad the three good Phase 4 movies are getting the praise they deserve though

Upon reflection, I don't hate The Eternals. It suffers from a bloated cast because of the conscious desire to represent everyone in the universe, but from a concept and character perspective it has redeeming qualities. Tonally, it reminds me of the better DCU movies, like Man of Steel, which I find preferable to outright parody like Love and Thunder.

I got to see Avengers Endgame by strolling into one of the biggest malls at 10 AM on the first day the movie started playing and bought a ticket right at the kiosk. No problem at all. The cinema was packed so I had to take a single seat at the lower right hand corner close to the screen but that's okay because the ticket only cost $11 bucks (usually this cinema charges at least $17 per ticket)
Avengers end game was the end of the golden mcu era.
It is the best written MCU film, and the best acted as an ensemble. It has the deepest themes. The best dialogue, it makes the best use of music and it has the best action scene.
That’s why it is the highest rated, most talked about, to this day, and has the best reviews from audiences and critics alike.

The one thing about this list I can’t understand is why Multiverse of Madness is so high! It was an awful movie, and Wanda’s my favorite character. Also Thor Ragnarok still achieved a lot for Thor, and I don’t think that other projects can take away how good it was on its own, tho I get where you’re coming from and that’s just my opinion.
See -- I'm one of the biggest critics of the MCU's excessive humour, but the dance battle in Guardians of the Galaxy worked for me because it was *organic* to Star Lord's character. He is a clown. He is a trickster. He is a rogue. That's who he is and how he survives, so that didn't break my immersion the same way Thor acting like a fool breaks my immersion.
Maybe pay more attention to get why Thor acts like that or even jokes around ?It was stated multiple times !
Just finished my second viewing of Wakanda Forever. It’s truly a staggering achievement what Coogler and everyone else was able to accomplish. Wakanda Forever is absolutely in my MCU top 10.

The difference between Wanda's storyline in the comics and in the Doctor Strange is that in comics Wanda became crazy because of her losses and her powers growing uncontrollable while in Doctor Strange Wanda is being corrupted by the Darkhold which make her not see that she is being corrupted and the cruel/immoral things she does.She wakes up from the Darkhold influence and realises what she has done when she gets a shocking moment, watching the fear in her chidren's faces. To me it's not undoing her progression in Wandavision by making her crazy but they put a pause as she is being unknownigly corrupted. Because Wanda doesn't know what the Darkhold truly is and that even looking in it you will be corrupted. And as we know from the comics and the Scarlet Witch herself has said in the Darkhold comic series, just a look inside the book and it will corrupt everyone and it will get even worse the more you study it. And Wanda studied the entire book, she was even studying it in the end of Wandavision so the corruption part was inevitable. We also see how the Doctor strange Variants were corrupted by the book. One thing I think they should have done is make clearer for the audience about how Darkhold works and its corruption for the audience to understand.
Sorry but you gave a long explanation for a simple mistake in writing.
Never use the McGuffin to take away agency from the character.
When you do that the story is no longer about the character. It is about the McGuffin.

@@zenla1033 1st The sum is you read the Darkhold you get corrupted. There is no more no less. 100% comics accurate. This is about whether you wanted to see Wanda as a villain or not. Wandavision established Wanda reading the Darkhold so she would be corrupted. 2nd I never said that he was a good writer. I already thought that parts of Loki has really bad writing even if everyone praised it. 3rd I have no idea what's the McGuffin is.
