I’m a lineman and work nights. So these are definitely worth looking into. I thought my Fenix LR35R was bright but I like more of a thrower than a flood. Plus like you said brand loyalty. But I carry both Olight and Fenix. Liking that threaded mount on the Fenix. As always great review.

I'm a member of a search and rescue group and I have this Fenix. It is an absolute monster and a delight to use for any night call-outs. I evaluated both lights before purchase and went with Fenix because the throw is so much better and more useful for my purposes - it's not all about lumens. More importantly, the USB-C charging situation is far more modern and compatible with all devices I use to charge with (cell phone, pocket light, Anker battery charger, etc). It also has a more dense battery and is smaller in size. Finally, Fenix has a 20% off deal making their light half the price.

Yup, the 1/4-20 means I can mount it on the handlebar of my bike for some serious night riding
That sounds crazy but there are 8000 lumen bike lights that cost over $500. The Fenix could do double triple duty just based on that 1/4-20.
I am curios to see how the 10,000 lumen bike light I ordered performs at $60.00(sale price) It does have the CREE LEDs, and external battery pack.

I'm in the woods alone, and I have olight marauder and 5 minis ,when you're in the woods at knight and you hear noises you have never heard before you want the brightest flashlight and more then just one ,there's been times that it's so dark you can't even see your hands and it gets spooky I remember one time around 2am a very scary animal sound and there's no question it must have been a big animal and I pointed the flashlights in the sound direction and I could hear heavy animal running away, when you're in a situation like that you want the brightest flashlight .

Plus the Imalent throws over 4,000 ft. That’s absolutely Insane. I think it says it has a 32,000 mah battery. I had the Fenix RC40 back in 2017 I think it was and it was like 4,000 lumen and then they came out with the 6000 lumen. Now they have the 18,000 lumen LR80R lol. I also still have a 3 brightness output level long thrower hid flashlight. 6500 lumen on low, 7500 on medium and 8500 on high. It wasn’t that expensive either and worked good for a couple years until the replaceable 11,000 mah cell started acting up. The guy who builds the cell’s said he would replace it at a discount. I might still get another battery so I can start using it again regardless if I buy a powerhouse led.

@@UKRglory I like it better because it's smaller and light weight

I can’t believe the Imalent MS18 doesn’t come in a nice padded hard shell suit case style case like the Olight X9R does. It comes in a shitty looking cheap type box. ESPECIALLY for $700. I’m not sure which light I want to consider between the Baddest Imalent MS18, Olight X9R or the Fenix LR80R. Your reviews are really nice and detailed sir. Thanks

You should do a review of the world’s brightest Imalent MS18 100,000 lumen flashlight. Would probably put all your powerhouse lights to shame lol.

The ms18 was only really build to crush the lumen record. It's an impressive engineering feat but I wouldn't recommend is as a light to buy. You won't get any range with it plus its a huge light.

So do you recommend the Fenix LR80R then? Or what about any of the Auxbeam lights? Not sure if I’m impressed with that huge X9R either. I do want to get a nice powerhouse light with lots of throw and flood. You should also get into handheld laser reviews. They are neat and have almost a mile throw range. Insane. I appreciate the response. Thanks

@@nitetrain7136 the x9r was fine when it came out but it's quite a few years old at this point and even when it came out it was quite overpriced, like most olight products.
If you want to get something bright that still throws a far distance, LR50R is probably the best. LR80R will be bigger but imo the LR50R is the better package, it's almost as bright and a lot smaller. Acebeam makes great lights as well but they have nothing that is similar to the LR50R, they have the x50 which is extremely bright but it won't have the same range as the Fenix. Acebeam K30gt is a great compact searchlight with lots of range but not as much lumens as other lights may have.
If you want something similar in terms of beam profile to the LR50R or Lr80r, check out the maker mk38 with the SFT40 Leds. Around 15k lumens and still really good range. It's a lot more expensive than the fenix tho.
