Man this Era of CBS was soo good. The commentators with Verne and Gary, the music, the graphics, the amazing players. I watch these Manziel highlights at least once a week, and they never get old!
Johnny Manziel could have realistically won the heisman award back to back
I didnt realize they had Mike Evans no wonder they was so good. Dude is gonna be a Hall a Famer WR one day
This game did more for Evans’ draft stock than any game he played.
Yep and Evans had only been playing football for a few years as he boy started playing football his last year in high school
And Auburn
Worst set of Bama CBs under Saban’s tenure. Deion Blue and John Fulton… Fulton never started a game after this. Highly recruited and 2 starts in his career. Not that it would matter as Evans was nasty.
I thought it was the Duke despite the temper tantrum.
At least, Saban survived another surge by the aggies tonight. So, this makes this upload more worth rewatching
Facts
bama trash
War eagle Auburn family regardless
The Vinny Sunseri Td was crazy !🏈
And on second ‘n 1….. that’s why Money Manziel won big games and lost ones he shouldn’t have. Straight greed. Can score 40 points every games with 500+ yards but if you turn the ball over multiple times and cost your team 14-21 points then it won’t matter. A 3 star CB turned Heisman winning QB, a perfect story….ruined because he’s an idiot.
like everyones sleeping on it..
As an A&M fan, I've never been so disappointed and proud all at the same time. Every one thought it would be a 52-0 game but we cut it to 24-20. But to come SO close to getting back-to-back wins against Alabama and falling just 2 yards short just hurts. 😭
Maybe if Bryce was going to play everyone thought I was going to be a blowout
Well tbf most people, including myself, assumed Bryce plays. And if he's playing he doesn't fumble twice and throws that int.
If Bryce plays the game is over before the half.
You know for a fact if Bryce play it’s a blowout.
Remember when Bryce played last year and it was close
I will never ever blame the Browns for taking a chance on this guy. They knew they would either catch lightning in a bottle or he’d flame out. I still think it was a chance worth taking. I can’t believe it’s already been nine years since this game. I wonder how much Manziel hates himself for blowing a perfect opportunity.
According to his documentary on Netflix, not a damn bit. What a waste
Damn Mike had 7rec for 280yds. 😱
To be fair John Fulton never started another game at CB again at Bama, Deion Blue was ok, not great and Cyrus Jones was a sophomore.
@@louieo.blevinsmusic4197Yup, never heard Fulton's name again honestly.
3:30 OJ Howard almost knocked his teammate head off with that helmet slap 😂😂
I forgot he had Mike Evans to throw to and we couldn't cover him for nothing in the world
Every year or so I watch Manziel highlights and think about how good he could’ve been, if he didn’t throw it all away.
I remember being in elementary school watching this dude play and thinking he was sooo good, and I couldn’t wait to see what he was gonna do in the NFL. :/
His most recent interview puts it all into perspective. He was quite a special athlete, he just didn't love the game. He already "made it" in his mind, there wasn't anything he was truly striving for anymore.
Bama fan here. It is amazing how Kyle Field looks during this game.
Manziel would have been nothing without Mike Evans. When you’re a QB who’s slippery but isn’t smart and you like to randomly throw the ball into the middle of the field, it helps to have one of the most legit jump ball receivers of all time.
Yes, that happened a couple of times but to say that Manziel would be nothing without Mike Evans is one of the most patently absurd statements I’ve ever heard in my life. Manziel was a beast.
@@j.akelly9775 Until it was time to step up in the pros. He was lazy and entitled, period. That attitude won't fly in the league no matter how much talent you think you have.
he wasn’t “nothing” yeah mike evans bailed him out a lot but manziel still had his moments against college teams now the NFL was a different story for him
And what is Manziel now? NOTHING 😂😂
Love watching videos like this to see all the players that went on to be NFL stars 🌟
6:23 Johnny Football at his most entertaining best
I loved watching this game live!
It really was great to
Folks I'm an Alabama fan but this Manziel magic was by far the best on a Nick Saban coached team.
This Manziel guy looks great, wonder what he’ll do in the NFL
Better than Peyton manning undoubtedly
If he’s not GOAT’d by the time he’s done, I’ll never watch football again
Crack. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Evans will be a bust
Manziel will be bigger in the city of Cleveland than LeBron James
amazing timing
Man what was that final play by the Aggies. We had no chance.
Man what a game today though.
Aggies 20-24 Bama
After 7 straight wins by Bama it seems we forgot to take A&M seriously. If Bryce played it would’ve been 40+ to 14/17 Bama.
This game satisfied me so much, seeing Johnnys little smile and tongue out acting like hes done something 6:43.... was checked real quick. 9:41 ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!
My favorite is 11:29 where Sunseri breaks his ankles
This was the start of the craziest season ever of the SEC on CBS - this ended up being maybe the 5th or 6th best game in the package that year.
I hated how much attanetuon the media gave Manziel. That Mike Evans TD was the perfect example. He’s the one who makes the play but they cut yo Manziel and call him the magic man for throwing to an open receiver for a TD.
Quit hating. He doesn’t throw the 1 int in the end zone
Manziel was as slippery a QB as they come.
AJ and the BAMA men....beautiful football.
Johnny football was so electric
nick saban at the end shaking sumlins hand " you took about 10 years off my life "🤣
that team and especially JFF were super exciting to watch. in the NFL every player on the field is a stud. You have to watch film, be a professional and really want it badly. JFF simply didn't put in the effort to succeed at the next level. Thanks for a great two seasons. He's probably one of the top 10 most exciting college players to ever play. I wish him well and thank him for the memories.
Johnny & Mike was a special Duo
At least we got our revenge from last year and barely won this year 24-20 Roll Tide!
I mean we also win 7 straight over A&M…. lol
going to miss Saban's teams
As a bama fan i was so glad this was the last time we had to play against manziel
No one will ever care about this. But the loss to money manziel as a freshman will never die.
When your best defense is "well, mizewell let'em score" ....you have no chance
What a game. Man, if A&M had any sort of defense that year they would’ve won 11 games again.
10:00 LOL the announcer on the throat slash was so silly
This Alabama team was stacked
classic game fr 😃
Seeing nick saban cross his arms in outrage having flashbacks of the upset
Well that’s awesome
Manziel gonna be special in the nfl.
😂
Y’all just post these when the 2022 game goes final?
Yes
Hella talented guys in this game
This game had future NFL players on both sides of the ball for both teams.
On both sides of the ball? You mean Vinnie Sunseri, Hasean Clinton-Dix and CJ Mosley defensively? A&M rarely played good defense and this was probably the most untalented Bama defense under Saban outside of his 1st year.
I know Bama’s offense was loaded and credit to AJ, but if Texas A&M had a component defense in 2013… man.
Y’all win it all lol
Alabama beating Johnny football. He was considered to be the number 1 guy in the nfl but became the biggest bust
AJ McCarron underrated
Who?
@@ginamartinez6038 your mother
😂🤣😼
Bill O Brien should watch this game... We were more creative in 2013
perfect pass, on target 🎯 throw, perfect pass, nice catch... it takes a thrower, a catcher, 5-8 blockers, and some decoy receivers.
still 11 vs 11.
You need more than 1 decent receiver as teams can double team a great WR and shut a team down. Bama just had their worst CBs in 15 years on this team. (The safeties were great tho)
Man mike Evans was torching our DBs
Can you do Baylor vs West Virginia on September 29th 2012?
I like that…
@@NFLVault Geno Smith was rocking that game! People should see what he was like in Morgantown!
How'd he get revenge? Johnny still lit their asses up. It wasn't his fault that Sumlin thought fielding a defense was a dumb idea.
Because it was Bama’s only loss from the season before?….. Rlly? Also, the defense he lit up wasn't impressive… Vinnie Sunseri, Hasean Clinton-Dix and CJ Mosley are the only players from that defense to have decent to great NFL careers. John Fulton literally never started a game again for Bama and it was only the 2nd game of season…. That’s the guy covering Evans….
@@louieo.blevinsmusic4197The defense wasn’t impressive? The defense finished near the top in Total Defense, Scoring Defense, Rushing Defense, & Ranked Passing Defense. They had 7 returning starters from the previous years championship run. They had two all-americans and two first round picks in the nfl draft. Not to mention the depth chart Alabama could call on to step up which had talented players like Landon Collins, Eddie Jackson, Reggie Ragland, Reuben Foster… I swear Alabama fans are so spoiled and boy are they gonna get a reality check like never before when Saban finally has enough of their fans whining and expecting a 30 pt. blowout every game, and Saban has voiced his frustration with Alabama fans on several occasions. They think they have a dynasty and will dominate with or without a Bear Bryant or Saban pulling the strings. But just a couple years before Saban sold us at LSU out, Alabama looked about like Vanderbilt on the schedule. They get lucky and Saban bonks in the NFL and wants to be back in the SEC West and Bama lands him and because of Saban they consistently have landed the no 1 recruiting class nearly every year, won multiple Nat Championships, and sent loads of players to the next level and since then their cousin breeding fans have went buck wild, poisoning 100 yr old trees at auburn and brilliantly calling Paul Finebaum to boast about it, One of their inbred fans puts his testicles in a dudes mouth that was passed out at a fast food restaurant in NOLA and it’s brilliantly filmed and resulted in that genius seeing how ruthless the Louisiana State Prison system is, & there’s usually 3-4 murders that the disgruntled cattle humpers from Alabama commit each year pertaining to the Crimson Tide. I mean the majority of Alabama’s alumni return home to their backwoods hometowns, find their soul mate at the first family reunion they attend, and go on to make a dozen or more inbred kids for marrying their first cousin, and they work at the local cat litter factory or become mule breeders with a moonshine still for a little side money or the favored profession is manufacturing meth way out in the woods somewhere and only coming out to go make another kid or to go to Talladega for a weekend. Their to ignorant to realize they owe all their success to Saban. Like any college kid wants to go to a school with 1950 football uniforms, the strangest mascots that nobody knows wth it even is a red wave or an elephant? Like those two things are even remotely related to each other. No they wear them hideous uniforms because of Saban, that’s it. Soon there’s gonna be some families split up when Saban leaves because it’s back to being NASCAR fans for them Neanderthals that call Alabama home. Btw my theory on where crimson tide come from is not that long ago the words cousin-bride were very popular in Alabama so they wanted that as their mascot but the school flat out refused so they compromised and came up with Crimson Tide which will soon become Crimson Cryin when Nick leaves.
Where's the game he had against the Blue devils in the chik Fila bowl
Wasn’t Myles Garrett on this A&M team too?
Mike Evans made Johnny Manziel
Auburn beat them that year and might do the same this year even though tough Georgia loss
False
Nahh
He made him run and juke and make people look silly?
And a bit of luck
Not gonna lie I remember watching this game and for some reason I didn't like Johnny Football. I told my brother, hey that guy is going to be a bust or a backup in the NFL. Never thought he would be out of the league as fast as he was though.
There are plenty of reasons and plenty of people that didn’t like Johnny Football. He is and still is a douchebag.
that sunseri runback tho...
Biggest fraud in sports history. Dude ran around in circles even in clean pockets, threw a bunch of 50/50 balls and ESPN called it generational.
4:53 what a terrible push off call
Roll tide baby roll ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank God for our offenses in ‘13 and ‘14 cause the defenses weren’t great those years. Love Kirby but those are the years he was taught about adversity as he wasn’t just coaching up defensive players that Saban/Steele brought in from the ‘07 or ‘08 classes anymore.
With the exception of Vinnie Sunseri, Hasean Clinton-Dix (DBs coached by Saban) and CJ Mosley.
Miss Verne Lundquist. Best college football voice. Next to Brent Musberger
Keith Jackson is by far the best ever and its not a debate.
This was probably our worst secondary of the nick saban era 😂
Nah. Lol. They just got burned from a great receiver and great college qb
I know the loved Johnny in texas haha
Lsu never lost to Manziel both away and home !!!! Geaux Tigahs!
Ok, you can do a throwback highlight of this, a classic college game, and I appreciate that. However, when are you guys gonna do the _Walter Payton career mini-movie_ ? I know you can, but I can't figure out why you _won't_ .
Gathering the research don’t worry!
@@NFLVault You guys can make the mother of all mini-movies on him. You can showcase his almost superhuman strength [I've always felt Payton was pound-for-pound the strongest human being that's ever played in the NFL], but because you have access to the raw footage, you can also dispel the myth that he wasn't fast at the start of his career and into his prime. He wasn't as fast as Tony Dorsett, but he had _very_ good speed, and he was _lightning_ quick.
@@NFLVault Just elated to hear!
@@NFLVault Everyone knows about his 275 yard game against Minnesota and the great game vs Kansas City in 1977, and even the Saints game in 83 where he ran for 161 and _threw_ two touchdowns, but consider his final game as a rookie: December 21st, 1975 at New Orleans. He had 134 yards rushing, 62 yards receiving, and another 104 yards on 2 kick returns for a _stunning_ 300 all-purpose yards! Nobody _ever_ talks about that game.
@@NFLVault do more cam newton games
Am I missing something? Since when is the NFL allowed to upload NCAA games?
Yeldon was a fumble waiting to happen on every possession
Weird how the national media never shows this game. They always highlight the 2012 game. This game was better in my opinion.
Bama lost that’s why they always highlighted
Should have watched film more versus taking illegal payments for autographs. 🤣
Johnny found out you can’t just throw it up and get lucky every play
TIME MARKER 19:54 SAY IT ALL LMAO
saban- you took ten years off my life
What happened to Johnny manziel in NFL 🤪 same can be said for Nick Saban
Cool
That pick six was covered so bad by a&m
Ion know number 6 but boy was getting cooked like a rotisserie chicken . Too bad A&M defense couldn’t stop a sentence with a period 😭😭
It’s crazy how someone could be so good and college and just be horrible in the NFL
Johnny Alcohol was cutting up.
This game probably a sign he never watched film. Looked lost the whole game
Kirby Smart called two bad games. Each against Texas A&M
He called way more than two. Auburn game later this year and almost every game the year after…. think of the ‘13 and ‘14 auburn games… awful defensive performances. He ran out of those ‘07/‘08 defensive recruits Saban/Steele brought in.
It's hard to scheme against back yard ball. When you have a QB that can improvise at that level you can't prepare. That's what made A&M so lethal. It's also why Johnny Football couldn't cut it in the NFL. The talent at that level you can't just back yard ball there.
Johnny without mike is just Blaine Gabbert
It’s so crazy how some dude can be the best player in college football, and literally be one of the worst in the NFL.
It’s not crazy it happens every year most Heisman winners are terrible in the NFL
Not crazy to me. Baker Mayfield is more or less of an example.
Its called speed alcohol and cocaine. That'll do it
Wait... THIS ISN'T THE NFL!
Why would it be?
@@torinoconnor4296 oh, you know, cuz the channel is called NFL Thr...
You know what, forget it.
Johnny Football 🤣
To think this man would be a massive bust. Ryan leaf 2.0

RTR !
Bro that helmet rule (continue play without a helmet) being a 15 yard penalty is Trash.
Anyone could have bet their house, wife and life savings that $aban wasn't going to lose that game. The referees had orders.
Watch the big Mike Evans play before you go to the gym. Youre welcome.
Manziel was a joke, throw it up someone might catch it.
Those pick sixes killed A&M in the end
Just left the field, shook no hands. That's why his life panned out the way it did. Roll Tide!
Who didn't shake hands? If you're talking about Ole Jonny Football, he stayed and congratulated Bama.
Manziel was not that good, Alabama's defense was that bad
Bama's O started out trash. D-line got no push upfront... such a soft year by Bama
Manziel was a joke, and still is
😀😀😁😁😍😍👍👍Best website for you.
Bama should have lost
They scored more points and dropped the ball once on the goaline. They should’ve won by more. There’s a reason Bama went on to win 8 outta 10 against A&M.
dat int Johnny threw in the redone cost em the game but man dat nigga was balling
