Rod Bearing Maintenance on the S2000

Tearing apart the 2.4 to check these 6 months old rod bearings.

Can the Main Bearings go out before Rod Bearings?
I found like 12 - 14 small copper. No copper inside oil pump or in VTEC Solenoid.
The OEM rod bearing grey layer on #1 top bearing is under 2/3 gone, displaying shiny silver.
#1 bottom grey layer is 10% gone in freckle pattern.
The wear are in center
& My thrust is @ 0.011"
I been running Fluidampr for the past 70,000 mi on this F22

Yes I plan on changing mains out every other year

@@onebads2kracing came out to be I did not clean the WPC treated oil pump enough. So 12 - 14 copper flakes was from that unit.
I went back in again as for verification of the flakes through a premature oil change as I also serviced the rod bearings.
The pulls are great, but the reassurance of the new rod bearings is wonderful.

extra clearance (hx) bearings were installed in the bottom or in the top?

It actually does not matter but I place all HX in the top
Halves.

Hey notice you had like 90psi at 200RPMs, what's your oil pressures at idle and at high RMPs? My cars does like 60psi at 900RPMs, new pump also.

That’s fine, remember I run big clearances with heavy weight oil because of the power.

You ever measure the width? Be interesting to see if that narrow of a bearing crushes with alot of power.
