Thanks! For some reason, CZcams was trying to include the "US" and "CAN" in the link even though it wasn't directly attached. I've put "USA:" and "Canada:" at the beginning and it seems to be better.
Such a great container and service! I have it monitoring my 4 servers plus a few key VMs & CT/LXCs. Just keep in mind that the drive stats from an LXC will be shared with the host system.
might experiment with this to get it to work on my bare metal (as in my hardware running proxmox, my pi and if I'm really feeling experimental my synology nas, although that is already monitored via home assistant).
@8:40 - So, the agent runs as a docker container: 1. if my server is inside a container, i will have to install docker inside that container to run the agent, yes? 2. do they have a normal Linux, Mac & Windows agent? 3. Would it not be better to use a security monitoring server, that can also see the up-time, cpu, disk, ram usage?
This is why I repeatedly mentioned going to the Github page: Docker is just ONE option on how to install it. Also, "better" is a relative term. What is "better" for you might not make sense for other people and vice versa. I'm not trying to tell anyone that they "HAVE" to use this. I'm only showing people what is out there and how to set it up if they want to use it.
They have a standard agent that you can deploy inside an LXC container. I use it on a few of mine. It also works on VMs as well. I didn't want to have docker installed just to use the service. Take a look at their GitHub to find the agent for non-docker deployments.
Thanks, this worked great. I tried to run the agent on the same system that was running the hub. It worked for a few minutes and now I can't get it to reconnect. Both hub and agent logs show no issues. Not a big deal, just curious why it worked for a few minutes and then stopped.

Looks great! BUT, it appears to only support Linux platforms. I host 3 Windows VMs on my Proxmox server in addition to several Linux and Docker services. Is there a solution like this that works on Windows as well?

your server is down :(
Edit: server is not down but something is wrong with the youtube redirect ?, US. CAN is fine.

They're also working on implementing multiple file systems, too
Great video , David !!

Interesting. Never encountered that, but never tried that config. Might be worth submitting to their github?
Let’s say I have a sever running on an LXC, do I need to install docker and docker compose to be able to use the agents?

I can't monitor locally on the server
Post an issue on their github?

You might want to reach out to the developer.
Hi @jbarr, have you checked Zabbix out ? I think it offers support for windows machines as well if my memory is right
I am very early 😁
YAY!!
