- Oh my gosh... I don't even know where to begin with Laurie. She's one of my favorite gymnasts ever. I can't help but love her artistry, her elegance, her power, and her crazy personality. I've known Laurie for a few years now and I can't wait for her to kill it at trials. She's on my Olympic team, and I know she's on many others as well. Laurie, you have grown so much in the past couple of years. I'm so proud of how far you've come. Now go crush it at trials!

The whole team is pretty amazing. This is one of the best group of Olympic groups in terms of charisma, charm, and flat our performance.

I started off this year not wanting Laurie on the team at all, but as she grew through the season I grew to love her and her little spark on floor. I loved watching her on the sides cheering for her teammates and always smiling. I can't wait to see her at the Olympics.

Well no. Not if Martha doesn't let her to AA in qualifications so Gabby can, even though Laurie is better and constantly beats her. I believe if she makes it to all around finals she can absolutely medal, but Simone pretty much has gold barring injury or mistakes.

+Ilise Angel There isn't any reason for Laurie not to AA. Obviously, the debated spot is on bars since four people do every event on quals and Kocian has one and Simone has another. Of course Gabby's going to do at least bars in quals and for that reason she's doing AA as well (even though she shouldn't) and so its between Laurie and Aly. Laurie outscored Aly in the most recent competition, and she's better on bars. Aly also said that if she was going, then she wouldn't be taken for bars, no? Therefore, Laurie does bars and therefore does AA, while Aly does vault, beam, and floor in quals. Make sense?
I'm not sure she can with Simone in the mix, but she can definitely take a strong silver. Both in AA and on beam.
