This is soooo good. Tony Geary is so good at playing Luke. His responses are hilarious and moving. This was my favorite Luke storyline since Lucky found out about the rape.

I always loved how Luke had his nicknames for people esp his kids. Interesting how close he got to Ethan as they didn't have the baggage of Laura for lucky esp. Even so out of everyone lucky I think meant the most to him out of everyone on the planet even Laura. Lucky was the child he actually raised til he was almost an adult. Lulu he pretty much was in & out on as she was originally like 12 Yeats younger than lucky than she was sorased where the actress was the same age as Jonathan Jackson. I just loved at the end of listening to every letter he just had to look at lucky & say " cowboy" such a great father son duo we literally watched lucky/jj grow up as Luke's son & jj always credited genie & Tony as his real acting role models. Luke & lucky being father & son & his first born had that special relationship. Funny that Ethan came along & they immediately clicked to Ethan being more on Luke's wave length running the cons he & teen lucky used to.

The only thing that could have made this better was Bobbie, Tony, Laura and Ruby.

Bobbie should've been there! wouldn't have made sense for Laura to be there since she was off getting better herself.

Ethan was so much like Luke it's scary. I miss the whole Spencer clan being together, now it's just Lulu, and she's not the same anymore

This was so sad to me. And the child wasn’t even dead. If it had been real, the accident was just an accident. Jake was so small and it was dark. Lucky and Liz just needed to place blame. Smh. This made me fuss and the television so much while it played.

Luke did need to be confronted about one behavior but not the drinking. The drinking wasn’t his issue. I bet Helena was amused if she ever found out about this...😩😤

I don't know why Tracey put up w/ Luke as long as she did. I also hated that they made Luke an alcoholic when hitting Jake was a total accident. That's why even Carly who worships Jason knowing she very well could have been the driver. Jake ran out the door & was so tiny ^ it was so dark anyone could have hir him. It was a tragic accident. That's why Luke was never charged. Nobody would have been. Luke was not even drunk when he drove. They also showed right b4 Jake was hit that he had a habit if running outside. Liz instead of being caught up in her latest drama of another who's the daddy ( that's what she was distracted by reading the results of aidens dna test ) she needed to lock the door as Jake was too tiny to reach the lock or know to unlock it. I'm not blaming her as she of course didn't mean for that to happen. When Carly was thought to be the driver lucky lit in about her being a selfish monster who would run over a kid & not stop. Carly never would have hit & ran a child. That's why she & sonny didn't come down hard on Luke given they both knew it was a tragedy & an accident. I was glad to actually see that sonny & Carly actually were being rational given it was Jason's bio son & lucky was actually his real father. Liz & lucky needed somewhere to put their grief & pain & scapegoated Luke & lucky being an addict decided Luke was one too. Did Luke like to drink yes. But he wasn't some out of control drunk until lucky started saying he was one. It was like lucky projected prophecy mixed w/ Luke's guilt was then him starting to drink constantly. If it was Carly who was one of several drivers we know she wasn't an alcoholic. I just wish they didn't make Luke the one to give Luke & lucky conflict after they had finally patched up their relatiobship. The show wanted to get rid of Jake b/c they realized the mistake of using Jake as a plot device to force Jason & Liz together when they never worked out for a reason. I mean Liz had been married 2x since her little flirtation w/ Jason & jason dropped Liz for Courtney than Sam. The show wanted to break up jasam & it didn't work out. That's why they out them back together. Which to me said so much as once Jason ended a romantic relationship he never we t back. To Sam he did & it worked well. Also it was such a kick in the gut to all their fans when her pregnancy w/ sonny & jason taking over as daddy ended w/ her losing her almost full term child. For the next 2 years the show built up that the 2 would have a baby only to have them ridiculously broken up by having Alexis, who'd just found out she was Sam's mom suddenly try to manage Sam's life when she was a fully fledged adult who Alexis decided ro keep jason away from. To constantly get in between them til jason was convinced by Alexis that his life was too dangerous & to dump Sam which he did. Even after telling her he had never loved anyone in his life as much as he loved her.
Then the horror of Sam banging ric just so jason could see go flip out drink himself into a stupor then Liz running up those 15 flights of stairs ( lol that everyone in town for years kept saying that including adding it was 15 flights ) to bang Jason. Jake was just a plot device that failed miserably b/c once she & jason started banging cause of Jake they had nothing in common & their scenes were so boring. That's why the show made it clear in Jason's dreams by each loved one in his life where jason tells Liz " u gotta let me go " & Liz says " I never really ever knew you did I " & he walks out. It's true. Liz had canonized jason as this fantasy guy that she really never understood nor did he ever really love her. Liz had lost lucky & jason was this older hot guy who took her on motorcycle rides. It was a fantasy. His life was nothing she ever got or wanted to handle nor could. In actuality none of these women should have had kids w/ mobsters. Look at Sam she wound up losing jason , Danny's father for 5 years cause of the " buisness"
I pretty much found that gh was a total mess after 2012. The only high light was aj returned & when sonny killed aj in cold blood which aj told Carly on his death bed it finally made Micheal a true bada$$ cutting Carson out of his life taking custody of sonny & avas kid & nucknaning Avery aj taking over at elq changing his last name in front of Carly from corinthis to quartermaine. Then 6 months later they ruined all of it by making Micheal just forgive carson & I guess go back to being Micheal corinthos. The show also severely botched Jason's return & made drew totally irrelevant. Sadly jasam after 5 years just didn't have that chemistry anymore. Mostly because it didn't work for Sam to be a mom to 2 kids have grown past being Jason's appendage & coming in last again after Carson & their kids & even micheals son wiley. Instead of passing the mantle to characters like Dante Micheal & Johnny they still kept sonny as the main lead. When sonny jason & Carly came into prominence the show passed the mantle to make Bobbie Alan Tony & Monica pretty irrelevant. I'm not sure why this didn't happen to jason sonny & Carly. They even made micheals messed up relationship w/ that wacko nelle a bore as it was still not about Micheal but Carly & nelle in some ridiculous backstory where nelle blamed a 21 year old Carly for not like raising her. They were not sisters. Which nelle kept spouting. Frank Benson was carlys adopted dad who left her mom when Carly was a little tiny toddler. So he was not only not her bio dad but no kind of dad to her at all in the adopted sense since he left her mom as a toddler. Him having a bio kid w/ some other woman many years later made Carly & nelle nothing. Their was no blood relation nor was frank even legally her adopted father since he had no contact with her for her entire childhood or life at all. In ny actually if a parent abandons a child for more than a year w/ zero contact their rights can be legally terminated. So the backstory of nelle expecting some college aged girl to rescue her from an adopted dad she hadn't seen since she was a baby herself was ridiculous. They were not sisters esp given when frank had nelle he had no contact w/ Carly for almost 2 decades. Otoh Lucas was legally carlys sister given carlys bio mom adopted him making Carly his adopted grown sister. Plus Carly actually met him as a child & was somewhat part of his life for a little while til Bobbie & Tony faded more & more into the background in the early 00s & we never saw Lucas again til he was sorased to a teen & disappeared then returned as a man for the wiley story. I stopped completely watching around 2020 when Micheal found out wiley was his kid ^ somehow nelle was out of prison quickly even though she framed Carly & was on recording trying to kill micheal & left him to die than gave birth to their son & gave him to Brad letting Micheal believe for almost 2 years wiley died. I have no clue at all what is going on w/ the show it was that bad when I stopped watching. I think the last story that finally made me leave was that whole crazy Franco got Drew's memories put in his brain. Then they killed off Franco giving Roger howarth his like 10th role on the show as some guy named Austin who was a quartermaine I guess.
