First intro of Tvthree News @ six (1998) used to be on CZcams. However, it disappeared with uploader (jflitter).

This music since 1998 is just like Russia 1's Vesti Intro since 2008 / 2009
Looks like TV3 use it earlier than Russia 1
Funny it reminded me more of the GMTV Newshour theme xD
Yeah, they used this music but for very short time. I don't know why, but almast every single time when they are going to use a new theme they use a stock music for a short period first. The same thing happened in 2017 when they started to use a new news intro
That theme of course was modernized in 2001.

*My verdict:*
1998-2001: The titles are alright, and the music is good too, even if they didn't make the music!
2001-2006: The visuals are very nice in my opinion, and the remixed music is good as well.
2006-2008: Horrid intro visually, but brilliant music.
2008-2009: Simplistic but sweet titles, and another nice update to the tune.
2009-2012: Same titles, but new music, though I prefer the previous music, the one from 09-12 lacks the punch of the former one.
2012-2015: I like the visuals, and the new theme is alright.
2015-2017: I like the new music, sounds like a remix of the previous one.
2017: Back to the 2012 template, with "The 5:30" swapped out for "3 News". A bit lazy for me.
2017-2018: New titles, with not much happening. A bit stock-y for me, but passable, and the studio here is very nice.
2018-present: Easily the worst intro they have had, both in the music and graphics. It reeks of cheap stock footage. It makes the 2006 title graphics look like the 2008 ones!
I think the 2006 titles both visuals and music were the best
1998 -2001 are not the original news titles, they actually took a step back IMO, those are from 1999
@@cce7065 Yes, I managed to find the original titles a few months back, it’s on my channel. For that, I must say the graphics were decent, but the music was very slow and unfitting. The graphics were better than the 1999 titles - not as garish, but the music was an improvement in 1999 - even though the 1999 theme is some off-the-shelf library music.

I don't think anyone would disagree when I say the current VM News intro is AWFUL! Both the visuals and tune are woeful. The TV3 intros weren't the best but they weren't bad either. I personally feel that many news broadcasts have downgraded the quality of their intros in recent years but Virgin Media seemed to really go all out in presenting utter rubbish.
I hope we're not waiting too long for Virgin Media News to create a new intro. However I fear we might be waiting a while as there is a trend now for news to keep their intro visuals and tunes for years. BBC News has been using variants of the same intro for the last 20 years.
Damn, why do all Irish news intros sucks? (Well, of corse except RTE News - one of my most favorite intros)
