Insurance adjuster here, The real issue is roofers tell the homeowner there's all this damage (that's how roofers make money) and then we come along and there's either no damage or its not hail or wind its blistering, thermal cracks or normal wear and tear from an older roof. And then there's the comment "well my neighbor just got a new roof", well your neighbors roof might be older/newer different pitch, different shingle etc. There's a lot of factors for a roof inspection. Generally I try to approve most roofs I get on however, roofers these days will throw anything out and hope it sticks.
I called an State Farm adjuster years ago after a hailstorm. The whole neighborhood was replaced. He said minimal damage not exceeding the deductible. I screwed up not calling a roofer. The following year I had two inches of aggregate in the gutters. And nothing but problems until I paid out of pocket to replace. Another adjuster tried to screw me on a water heater failure. The agent took care of me when he found out. I got even somewhat this year. Hail hit my truck. And normally I wouldn’t claim that. It’s a truck for driving to work. Looks don’t matter and I will most likely sell for scrap when I’m done with it. Damn hail damage is expensive on vehicles. Note to State Farm. If you have a discount for not covering hail dents I would consider.
Havent roofed in years but I'm pretty sure you shouldnt stand in a valley like this adjuster did... does SF even male sure their adjusters have a firm grasp on how a roof is properly installed???
"Insurance adjuster MAD!" -insurance adjuster calmly does his job while someone constantly harasses him. You didn't even show an example of the hail he should be marking.
From what I can tell from the great close up shots in the video, the roof is blistered. The roofer is mad because the adjuster knows the difference between blisters and hail.
@@mezmerizer0266 Can you explain why the roof needs to be replaced? I’m a roofing consultant in FL and curious as to your thought process. I couldn’t see any hail impact to the asphalt shingles in that video. Insurance policies unfortunately don’t cover age-related wear. Now if there was hail damage, then yes the laminate shingles are no longer in a serviceable condition and repairs should not even be considered. The roofer complaining should have marked both examples to show why one condition was hail impact and to show that the other conditions that the adjuster marked were not hail impact. All I hear in this video is whining with no visual evidence of anything. There are garbage roofers and adjusters on both sides.
What people fail to realize is fly by night roofing companies, flood neighbourhoods after storms and talk people into getting a new roof through insurance. Its absolutely pathetic.

Bro if I was you the day you have then scheduled to come out make a report to osha saying there’s a dude on the roof with no harness so Osha can bust him the day he comes out.
Do Roof adjusters always work in flip - flops on roofs while working ??? 😂😮
Who is in flip flops? Are you referring to the pads strapped to his shoes to not damage the shingles?
Not the type of contractor i want working for me. You catch more flies with honey.
I hate it when it hells outside!
Do homeowners call you a piece of shit when you’re just doing your job too???
You’re blowing up. Capitalize
I love it. This is Reality tv. Real Reality tv.
what good is a safety line if you are not attached to it OSHA!!!!
He know he’s wrong that’s why he almost fell off the roof
Where is his harness
He said no splatter lol and you guys stayed quiet
Must be one of Jeff's buddies...
OMG!!!!! What a dirt, hate to think I might someday need to file a claim 😮😮
Where is Chris Paul when you need him?
The guy is the flop king scammer, you think he gives a shit?
Havent roofed in years but I'm pretty sure you shouldnt stand in a valley like this adjuster did... does SF even male sure their adjusters have a firm grasp on how a roof is properly installed???
How are you supposed to stand in a valley?
@@rockyalliston1122 not with all ur weight planted in the seam I suppose.
@@ItsHapa hmm
Feet on both sides of the valley, not in the middle. They often have a piece of slick flashing underneath.
@@rockyalliston1122 and the clown is wearing flip-flops
That roof looks old. May have been pressure washed.
"Insurance adjuster MAD!" -insurance adjuster calmly does his job while someone constantly harasses him. You didn't even show an example of the hail he should be marking.
Bruh that entire roof needs to go. There's no need to chalk a thing.
Are you looking at the same roof?! Hahah. This bum is marking nothing. The whole roof needs to go
From what I can tell from the great close up shots in the video, the roof is blistered. The roofer is mad because the adjuster knows the difference between blisters and hail.
@@presidentpotato4065 good thing you're neither a roofer, nor an adjuster. And, if you are, I suggest hanging it up, Eagle Eyes.
I heard he was fired
What people fail to realize is fly by night roofing companies, flood neighbourhoods after storms and talk people into getting a new roof through insurance. Its absolutely pathetic.
I mean a couple of those shingles did look problematic
1:23 lmao
Yikes would never be on a roof with an aggressive contractor. No way
Please please please do State Farm adjusters. I want to learn to see what you do so I can convince these pricks to get more approvals
Rookie slip at 1:25 mark
The video doesn’t show any hail. From what I can see is an old blistered roof.
This roof is done no more granule same as a flat mean the wheater can go true the shingle etc.. this insurance guy, most of them never did a roof but you have the exception, but this guy is not the exception.
Granules don't shed water. The granules are only there to protect the asphalt and fiberglass mat underneath from UV radiation.
Weather, meaning every kind of weather? ice, snow, Sun, is one of the lair ho exist tha you put overcoat of the suredeck.
I see you guys continued to act like children with the insurance adjusters. Real professionals.
All the comments siding with the adjustmenter 😂😂
Another state farm insurance adjustment
1:25 i would have laughed so hard if he fell off the roof. This piece of shit would have then tried to sue the homeowner
Agreed the clown with the flip flops
So what exactly is going on here
I don't think that's the insurance adjuster my guy 🤔
Next video, show the hail damage that the adjuster isn’t marking so we can see your side of the argument.
Exactly, half of contractors have no idea what hail looks like and will mark blistering 100% of the time.
why he using a rope? it looks like a 5 or 6 pitch, one thing you MUST learn is to respect the adjuster if they deny your just have the homeowner request for a reinspection. I'm a ladder assist who works with adjusters from time to time, you dint have to kiss their butt but you should be respectful even if you disagree! Some adjuster will buy your roof just cause they like you and some will deny your roof cause they don't like you. Trust me I know! Be respectful and go with their flow some adjusters are jerks but just be respectful. Some adjuster are looking to buy roofs cause the more damage the more paper work the more they get paid. BE RESPECTFUL!!!!!!!
Was he an IA? If he wasn’t trying to buy he’s doing his job wrong!
He meant 15 hours
He is been doing that for 15 hours
Guessing this is a State Farm insurance adjuster denying another legit roofing claim.
