WOW I have forgotten about this car. One of the best BMWs ever created. What a stunner. Back in the day when BMW set out to create a one off, unique car like this or the first 8-Series, they were on their shit. This car still looks good, timeless over 20 years later. Amazing.
Exterior design is timeless and that M5 power train is sweet. The only disappointment, and a rather large one, at that- is the stupid center dash gauge bezel.
Have to disagree with you. All is unique, and very attractive. Owner for 15 years, a red 2002. Nothing more than an occasional tune up and once an ac charge. Closing in on 29K miles and has original brakes. Runs like a champ.

Back in the day it was accused of being boulevardier cruiser, complete with 400 bhp. E39 M5 N/A V8.
