Our great grandpa Winters was a jockey and was headed to the Kentucky Derby but he ended up having to go to war. The guy in the next town over ended up winning and they still needle each other about it to this day. They are well into their 90's
This is so true !!! Lots and lots of people have underestimate me in my life including most of my own family. The odds were always against me but I fought and fought until I felt like I was going to die just to prove ANYTHING is possible if you want it to be possible. Your mind and willpower have to be strong to beat the odds. When everyone else is quitting and you’re still standing that’s when you know you’re #1. Here’s some more motivation! I survived major brain surgery in 2008 and unfortunately lost everything at that time but as soon as I recovered I got back up and worked my butt off and built a multimillion dollar company. Then last year I got diagnosed with CML. That’s a form of leukemia. I was shocked and depressed for like 3 weeks then I told myself I will NOT beat this if I stay down. I changed my mindset and now I am undetected. No traces of leukemia in my blood now 💪🏽💪🏽. It’s been hard not going to lie. Never give up no matter how defeated you feel. TRUTH !! Oh and I build my company even more after I was diagnosed. I didn’t lay down and stop just because I was diagnosed. I went even harder after the initial shock was over. Hope this helps someone who may be down right now.

💪 That's a triumphant story I lost a lot of family to cancer and one of the things I noticed was they reached a point where they just stopped fighting but my father-in-law he almost died on the table and now he's up and walking around and going back to work his chemo is working his diet is working I went without oxygen for 10 minutes One time and the paramedics were freaked out when I woke up I had went into anaphylactic shock and my wife was going to let me die The last thing I did with the last remaining breath I had before I exhaled it all was I crawled out the door and collapsed in the public thoroughfare forcing her to call the paramedics I remember the feeling of the process of dying and I remember the last thought going well I didn't think it would be this way but whatever and then the next thing I know I'm waking up just is we're pulling into a hospital and I'm waking up to these people that are like shocked The thing is I remember as I passed out I remember thinking and not that it was the end of life it's weird it's hard to explain it's not a near death experience in the way people talk about it you know there's no white light there was no whatever, it was simply the thought that this is such a weird way to go that was the thought was that it was just like too weird to be the way that I go and it turns out I'm still alive. And I'm glad you are too it sounds like you've overcome some hella adversity rich or poor doesn't matter Cancer is the great equalizer and my father-in-law has gone through- we all thought he was going to die and he surprised the doctors when he survived and not only did he survive but he thrived and he still thriving now his cancer is in remission and we hope that it's going to be you know in remission for the rest of his life it's a chronic condition actually is a certain type of cancer it's a certain type of pancreatic cancer but it grows very slowly and it's manageable with medicine but the man went back to become an ops manager at a manufacturing plant and he renewed his journeyman electrician's license and he's got his sense of humor back; he bought a red Ford ranger that he always wanted because I guess he figured might as well and then he fixed it up it looks fucking sweet he's an inspiration to me because he's overcome a lot of other things too and a lot of other things that I'm trying to overcome right now he's already dealt with which is living proof that is possible He's walking around proving that it's possible to deal with what I'm going through that is a divine nearly magical thing to see in front of you an example that it absolutely is possible to do the thing that you want to do from not the high ground but from a disadvantage 80 to 1 odds against you but yet in front of you is someone that had 101 odds against them it puts failure out of your mind completely and once you internalize how awesome and powerful and wonderful and amazing you are it's fascinating how different you look at the problems you have to face each day and the thing is as you face those problems you deal with other people but you deal with them from this new perspective it's like a wave of beauty love confidence comes off you goes on to other people lifts their mood now they're going to be nicer to everybody and it just it's a wave that just goes out and it's self reinforcing it's magical ✨

I was diagnosed with the worst thing in my life with rheumatoid arthritis this crap literally attacks your joints ! I served my country for 20 yrs and then another 10 as a police officer ! And I thought I was gonna retire and live my life and then my world crashed around me and the world beat me down ! and you talk about how life beats you down and knocks you down but how many times you get back up and every day I wake up and my hands hurt so bad I can’t make a fist or my arms lock at the shoulder I work through it and I say to my self GET UP YOU BUM I DIDNT HEAR NO BELL GET UP AND FIGHT CAUSE IF YOU LAY DOWN ALL YOUR WORK IS FOR NOTHING AND something you said kicks in and I push through ! As I teenager I know during the first Rocky movie you inspired many people of all ages and backgrounds. As the spotlight was turned to you and to hear how this all played, it gave hope to many at a time when there was not much hope. You went up against some pretty big with a simple movie script and told them how it was going to play out. Now working on almost 50 years ago here you are a movie star that everyone knows. Talk about an underdog coming into its own it would be you. Congrats and THANKYOU for all the movies you have starred in. I have seen them all.

I went without oxygen for 10 minutes One time and the paramedics were freaked out when I woke up I had went into anaphylactic shock and my wife was going to let me die The last thing I did with the last remaining breath I had before I exhaled it all was I crawled out the door and collapsed in the public thoroughfare forcing her to call the paramedics I remember the feeling of the process of dying and I remember the last thought going well I didn't think it would be this way but whatever and then the next thing I know I'm waking up just is we're pulling into a hospital and I'm waking up to these people that are like shocked The thing is I remember as I passed out I remember thinking and not that it was the end of life it's weird it's hard to explain it's not a near death experience in the way people talk about it you know there's no white light there was no whatever, it was simply the thought that this is such a weird way to go that was the thought was that it was just like too weird to be the way that I go and it turns out I'm still alive.
And I'm glad you are too it sounds like you've overcome some hella adversity rich or poor doesn't matter Cancer is the great equalizer and my father-in-law has gone through- we all thought he was going to die and he surprised the doctors when he survived and not only did he survive but he thrived and he still thriving now his cancer is in remission and we hope that it's going to be you know in remission for the rest of his life it's a chronic condition actually is a certain type of cancer it's a certain type of pancreatic cancer but it grows very slowly and it's manageable with medicine but the man went back to become an ops manager at a manufacturing plant and he renewed his journeyman electrician's license and he's got his sense of humor back; he bought a red Ford ranger that he always wanted because I guess he figured might as well and then he fixed it up it looks fucking sweet he's an inspiration to me because he's overcome a lot of other things too and a lot of other things that I'm trying to overcome right now he's already dealt with which is living proof that is possible He's walking around proving that it's possible to deal with what I'm going through that is a divine nearly magical thing to see in front of you an example that it absolutely is possible to do the thing that you want to do from not the high ground but from a disadvantage 80 to 1 odds against you but yet in front of you is someone that had 101 odds against them it puts failure out of your mind completely and once you internalize how awesome and powerful and wonderful and amazing you are it's fascinating how different you look at the problems you have to face each day and the thing is as you face those problems you deal with other people but you deal with them from this new perspective it's like a wave of beauty love confidence comes off you goes on to other people lifts their mood now they're going to be nicer to everybody and it just it's a wave that just goes out and it's self reinforcing it's magical ✨

I was diagnosed with the worst thing in my life with rheumatoid arthritis this crap literally attacks your joints ! I served my country for 20 yrs and then another 10 as a police officer ! And I thought I was gonna retire and live my life and then my world crashed around me and the world beat me down ! and you talk about how life beats you down and knocks you down but how many times you get back up and every day I wake up and my hands hurt so bad I can’t make a fist or my arms lock at the shoulder I work through it and I say to my self GET UP YOU BUM I DIDNT HEAR NO BELL GET UP AND FIGHT CAUSE IF YOU LAY DOWN ALL YOUR WORK IS FOR NOTHING AND something you said kicks in and I push through ! As I teenager I know during the first Rocky movie you inspired many people of all ages and backgrounds. As the spotlight was turned to you and to hear how this all played, it gave hope to many at a time when there was not much hope. You went up against some pretty big with a simple movie script and told them how it was going to play out. Now working on almost 50 years ago here you are a movie star that everyone knows. Talk about an underdog coming into its own it would be you. Congrats and THANKYOU for all the movies you have starred in. I have seen them all.

Without maybe even realizing it your heart has been to INSPIRE others from day one! what made the original ROCKY so powerful wasn’t just the cinematography or the dialogue or the acting which was all great obviously but it was the INSPIRATION that it sparked in people. And the fact that you are still posting these videos just speaking directly to the people through the camera intentionally trying to inspire everyone just shows you that it’s just part of who you are. so glad and it’s so powerful to see someone in their PURPOSE.
