Not changing weapons and the fact that they were only fighting with their main weapon was a nice touch, classic red vs blue.

Really hope this boss fight benefits from the DLC. Imagine if he had Beowuld and Mirage Edge on top of his moveset
Canonically that wouldn't make sense though. Dante has Beowulf. However, Mirage edge would be pretty cool to see

Absolutely masterful. I loved that you didn't even use Dante's other weapons because this is probably how he would fight his brother. No wacky shenanigans. Just like old times.

Dante: I fused them into the Force Edge to recreate the Sparda Sword, then I stabbed myself with the Rebellion sword to absorb the Sparda Sword and create the Devil Sword Dante.

And all that just for something Vergil got by eating a funky fruit.
@@psl6145 a funky fruit which got mundus from a bottom line rock dweller to the king. He also needed the human blood buff when he turned back to Vergil. And all this to be stalemated by a fatigued and barely refreshed Dante.

In the DMC5 Manga. Vergil was raging hard, cause he was loosing to Dante again. It’s there when Dante tells him the in game quote “you cut your own son’s arm for this.” It’s than we’re Vergil it’s force to use he’s Sin Devil Trigger and wilds out and starts talking shit of how he would have cut as many limbs as possible from Nero to gain power.

My one complaint is that in this otherwise beautiful piece is that the music's too loud in their fight. I mean, we've all heard how their Dialogue usually goes, sure, but it's still nice to hear them.

@@jetstreamsam99 I kinda disagree. In context this is supposed to be a battle of near equals where things could go either way, but here we see have Dante too cleanly stomping his brother until the very last counter attack.

@@joelsasmad well vergil kinda takes a long time to attack sometimes though, if he was faster i feel like it really would be a battle of equals, also vergil should be able to combo a bit more
Yeah most of the vergil fights on CZcams are absolutely overpowering him. This fight is supposed to show how Vergil and Dante are actually equal in power. That's why the players gets hit a lot and doesn't use any of the other weapons. Basically to give vergil a chance.

Honestly Dante and Virgil are pretty evenly matched - even in final cutscene of DMC5 SE Dante says: "Score for Dante! I'm up one!'' and Virgil says: "Where did you learn to count? We're even!" I think you curbstomped Virgil straight out of his attitude and character! The screenshots where the real deal - both dodge and parry all the time in cutscenes and the fight is decided by 1 or 2 slashes by either one! Look (insert "Trying to explain" meme template), if I had editing skills I would stage a fight of Virgil parrying, dodging me and I would take a minute or so of short, cut videos how Virgil parries, Dante parries, Virgil dodges, Dante dodges, Virgil parries, Dante parries and in the end put together 3 videos with special cinematic camera angles (I don't know how you do it!) :
1. Dante shoots Virgil with Ebony and Ivory, Virgil parries!
2. Virgil hits Dante with normal rapid slash, Dante gets up and hits Virgil with normal Stinger!
3. Virgil hits Dante with Judgement Cut End, Dante gets up, activates normal Devil Trigger and hits Virgil with Dance Macabre (the powerful Sword Master Rebellion combo ability)!
4. Virgil goes SDT, Dante goes SDT, Virgil flies towards Dante (Boss fight ability), Dante flies towards Virgil (Drilling attack)
5. The video ends with the first second in-game of mission 20 (where they fly and drill towards each other)!

My perfect cannon dante vs vergil fight is royal guard everything, then reverse that damage straight back and instagib him. Just like how the sacred texts described it would be.

@@jesusalejandro6225 it's just a joke, I'm describing that I beat vergil by just parrying his attacks. Saying that it is the sacred texts just means that that's how it would be predicted to happen, or how the legends foretold it would happen.
