    Omg thank you for doing this topic! I have scoured the internet looking for house plant arrangement ideas and there seems to be very little out there so I just did exactly what I do with my outside containers. I’m glad someone else out there does house plant arrangements too!!! P.S. I am a total Garden Answer junky, I don’t know what I’d do without Laura.

    I was thinking this too. Considering certain species need similar watering schedules. Like you could do any Marantaceae species, mixed with peace lilies or ferns. Or Fittonia, Hypoestes, etc. with Aglaonema. Even Coleus is a great introduction.

    Hi Dil! I love this video, too! That's 2 for 2! I love Laura and Garden Answer, too & watch her faithfully. She & Aaron are amazing! However, the whole "Thriller, Filler, Spiller" concept didn't originate there. That wonderful design idea has been around for quite a long time; and, although Laura is a very clever young woman & utilizes the "TFS" concept beautifully, she can't claim credit for it. I absolutely love your combination planters! I have a question or two. I'm gaga over your Spider Plant/Marble Queen combo! Dil, how many of each plant & what size plants are in that planter? Also, what diameter & depth planter is that? Do those two plants REALLY share the same water needs? That truly is one of the coolest looking plantings that I've seen on CZcams! If you haven't already done so, you might enjoy checking out Tropical Plant Addict channel. She has quite a wonderful "design with plants" style, too. If you'd like suggestions for future videos to do, I'd love to learn more about the little figures that you said you made. They looked very interesting to me! Thank you very much for sharing this info on creating your lovely combo planters! 🌾💜

    • @TheSingingGardener
      @TheSingingGardener  Před 5 lety +1

      Margie McPeak AH! Thank you for clarifying about the TFS concept! I’ve only heard that from Laura so I assumed she came up with it. lol ... the planter with the Spider plant and Marble queen Pothos is 10” In Diameter and about 12” deep. There’s one Spider plant that was in a 6” pot when I got it and 3 marble queen Pothos that we’re all in a 4” pot 😊 I hope this helps and thank you for the video recommendation, I will check her out.

    ! I don't recommend putting a Chinese Evergreen and Calathea together... the Calathea has a higher water requirement.
    !! Grouping plants together doesn't "solve" a humidity problem, it only helps.

    I immediately looked at porthos as my spiller, croton is a striking thriller and or filler and Arranged 2 of my babies together using your advice from Laura!
    It took less time and I created space!. Your advice and planning suggestions went into action! It’s great to see how four of my babies aka, plants are enjoying company. They look stunning. And I was able to buy a shamrock ☘️ oxylasis. I am looking forward to arranging one of my peace Lilly’s with one of My Jade Porthos in need of a closer buddy.
    Thanks a lot!

      S.B.S.C S.C. Leaving such a negative and judgmental comment like this is really unnecessary! I’m sorry you didn’t get what you needed from this video but I do try my best to be as informative as possible. There are plenty of other videos out there that may help you. Judge less, live happier and happy gardening.
