@@adoe2305 nobodies ignoring them, but we all have personal connections to the philosophers we follow.
Setting goals is the first step to really understand what direction you're taking and where you're going.
All you need is that desire to take the first step, and when you do, keep going, keep moving forward. Talent is a pursued interest. Anything that you're willing to practice, you can do. I can't think of anything more rewarding than being able to express yourself to others through creativity.
If someone really wants you, they'd actually put up some effort into trying to get your attention, and make sacrifices for you. They wouldn't tell you they want you; they'd show you in every little way possible that they want you.

So true about growing into that which you want to become. First it's a pull or an interest, then it becomes like a habit, then you are doing some of the elements that make it up, then you can't not do that thing that you are doing and it becomes all encompassing, and someone asks you what you are doing, and before you think about it you say, I am playing the guitar and composing music-yes that is what I'm doing, while 5 years has passed so quickly....

My step mother had done this while pregnant and it's the hardest thing. The outlook is bleak my friend. I hated her for months. I can say she came back to my father, birthed a healthy boy and reverted to being an alcoholic instead of drug user. A month ago she gave up drinking. Best of luck I'm so sorry.

And that is why I am defeated sometimes… because I know and I have done a lot of it only to be robbed and what I have been able to barely get since, has continued to diminish. I have been forced to miss out on opportunities that I have known and wanted to take part in. As a disabled veteran single father of a disabled child (w/no coparent) and a mountain of things to make up for… my outlook has become dismal. I write this as I still have a smidgeon of hope… I just need to get to the tipping point…. That’s a low ask for a miracle I know.. and my kiddos and I need that.

I think you’re really brilliant and I love listening to you, however, I don’t get why you would ever use the example of “looking into the abyss, and seeing your comatose father”….I buried both my mother and my father. I usually get your points and I couldn’t even understand what you meant by saying that, because it was such a disturbing visual. And second of all, couldn’t you find something else to use as an example?
