Before, we thought na sila na yung pinaka magaling and most swag team sa cdc. Masaya na tayo kahit paulit ulit lang stunts and pyramids nila every year, iniiba lang ng onti. Then, biglang nag evolve lahat ng teams specially NU, napagiwanan tuloy UP. Time to upgrade.
The competition evolved to more difficulty and technicalities such that it already became a battle of resources vs a battle of the coaches' training program. They're still there and fighting. However, their progress is baby steps and unrecognizable due to how other teams have evolved.
Unfortunately kahit na sabihing 50% of the scores is dance halos di naman nasusunod ito due to improportionate scores ng judges. It has become cheer-centric competition rather than 50:50.
The year where UP fans start making negative comments about NU’s performance 2013- They accused NU of copying their bald or shaved heads from last 2012 2014- They called out NU’s routine to be insensitive for cultural appropriation 2015- They then filed a protest for NU’s controversial win 2016- They did not compete but despite NU’s win at the competition, they sarcastically compared NU’s performance with that of 2015, noting if they had executed their 2015 performance just like what they did on that year then they would’nt have filed for the protest and would have joined the competition. 2017- They were happy for NU’s non-podium finish
Did you see when NU fans were happy on UP Pep's falls? Yes right? And do you see UP fans calling it out? None. So don't put weight on the fans' opinions.
