The EQ4M sounds really solid. The plugin version by UAD is good, the HW is o much better. The voltage, you can hear Volts. The 18V power rails provide exceptional headroom. I agree with the poster who stated, this is not a surgical EQ. Sweetening? All day long! The dimension is outstanding. Definitely 3-D. The high end is gorgeous. The transients sound fantastic. Great piece of gear.
With trying to be as helpful as possible, I thing the word "Surgical" is the wrong way to describe this EQ. The term surgical denotes precision. Because the bands are fixed, that removes any way for you to do "surgery" if you have a problem. not to say this EQ isn't great. But a surgical tool it is not. Sweetening perhaps. Just not surgical.
Your dialogue sounds awful man… tough for me to take the channel seriously with that level of aliasing attacking my earballs. I’m saying this with love - we share the same passions.
re-checked the dialoge and I can listen all clear, maybe sounds change a bit when I have the unit close to me cause the mic is under my t-shirt. but nothing terrible to justify your comment. 🤣🤷♂ maybe is you?

There is no insert option. You can use the fusion before or after the EQ
